I've been using the Razer Blackshark V3 Pro for Xbox for over a week now. It takes a lot for me to give a headset or anything 5 stars, but this a rare occasion when it's totally deserved. The Razer Blackshare has a great build quality, but is so so so comfortable to wear with good padding, great earcups and light weight. If you're after THE BEST wireless gaming headset for your Xbox, this is it.
Breaking it down further, there are some great surprises. First, the Razer Blackshark is TRULY wireless for your Xbox. It ships with a dongle that connects via USB C to A to your Xbox, letting you pair the headset directly to your Xbox. Wow. Cool. Fast. Easy. Second, if you don't want to work that way, you can use a wired headphone connector straight to your Xbox controller (not sure why you would when it's built for wireless, but it's nice - tried it on my Steamdeck as a wired headset). What surprised me even more, is the Blackshark dongle has a switch so you can use this headset for PC Gaming. Great if you have a Gamepass subscription and you cross play between Xbox/PC. Thank you Razer for extending the usefulness!
Voice audio quality is where this shines. At first, I was surprised by the size of the boom mic. But in voice chat, people were commenting how much better I sounded. Intrigued, I hooked the Razer to my PC and tested on Discord and it's incredible. Voice quality is just reach, more bass and rounded sounded vs my much more expensive PC headset. I don't really use the Xbox much for voice chat, so during game play I remove the boom mic - unless a specific friend is online.
In terms of listening audio quality, the Razer Blackshark does not disappoint. Again, rich surround sound, deep bass, no cracks, pops, or hisses. The ANC was a pleasant surprise. It won't drown out background conversation in a home, but being summer and I play in the basement with a pedestal fan, it makes that background noise disappear. Winning!
Overall, love the Razer Blackshare V3 Pro. Great sound, great build, incredible comfort, and the fact you can be a die hard Xbox gamer but still get some secondary uses out of the Blackshark makes it incredibly good value. Get it, you will be very happy!

These are good, but very task-specific headphones. If you are using these for gaming, they're excellent and the audio is perfect with versatile adjustments possible through the X-Box or your computer. You can independently control the volume of the conversation and the game, and the timing of everything is excellent, as you would expect with a modern connection. The audio they hear through the microphone is also great and well isolated.
One additional benefit that I didn't foresee is that you can actually connect multiple devices at the same time. Want to have audio from the game and music from your phone? You can do that and independently control the volumes of each of these audio streams. The plug-in wireless connector (an odd thing to say) is also very versatile and adapts to the X-Box or your computer, which I've enjoyed as I can use these for work calls as well without installing proprietary software and raising flags with the IT department.
There are some shortcomings in my testing. While these do have noise-cancelling, it isn't great. It will be fine for a relatively quiet environment and offers some isolation, but I've noticed that it overcompensates for low-frequencies, resulting in a thrumming low-tone that is always present when there is mechanical background noise (air conditioning, fans, passing traffic outside). This is very irritating and distracting. Better to just turn off the ANC. The other issue (only related to the gaming-specific nature of these) is that there are no media controls other than volume. You can answer a call or hang up, but nothing else. No skipping forward or back.
Battery life is great, as I've used these for about 20 hours over several days while connected to multiple devices and still have almost 2/3 of the battery left. You shouldn't have any problems with an all-day gaming session (possibly more!).

Amazing Beast of a Headset

So I just received my new Razer BlackShark V3 Pro ANC Wireless Gaming Headset for XBOX and have been using it for the past couple of weeks putting it through the paces. Razer is a brand that gamers have come to love and as they continue to produce amazing products every year.
Unboxing includes:
* Razer BlackShark V3 Pro Headset
* Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 Dongle
* Detachable Razer HyperClear Full Band Mic
* USB-A to USB-C Cable
* 3.5mm analog to USB-C Converter Cable
* User Manual and Documentation
Now if you have been a fan of Razer for sometime like myself, you know that their products are top-notch and are durable and built with quality in mind and this headset continues that trend. Before I even setup the headset, I just took a moment to look over the headset to familiarize myself with the controls and buttons. First off the headband part extends from the earcuffs on both sides allowing for the perfect fit. The left earcuff features a volume control knob, mute button, power button, USB-C port, as well as the port for the detachable mic. On the right earcuff, is wireless mode button, audio control wheel, and an ANC button for active noise cancellation. To someone new to gaming headsets the it may be a bit daunting but if you follow along with the included user manual you should be fine, as everything is adequately explained in the manual.
To get started, simply connect to whichever wireless mode you prefer (most people will probably choose bluetooth, however, it can be connected either wirelessly or wired with the included cables). Once connected, you can use the volume control knob on the left earcuff to increase or decrease your volume. I connected it through bluetooth on my Xbox Series X and loaded up a game. When the game started, I was immediately blown away with the audio quality of the headset; it was unlike any other headset that, I’ve tried over the years. Crisp and crystal clear. I could hear sound in the background scenes that I didn’t know were there before. It had like a more immersive feeling to it like I was actually in the game. On games that I chat with other players, the audio quality from the other gamers was clear and I was asked a couple of times if I was using a new headset because I sounded clearer to those I was playing with. I really love this headset and can’t believe how amazing it is and also how comfortable it is to wear for extended periods of gameplay.
Something that I almost forgot to mention is that both sides of the earcuffs have these magnetic plates that you can take off. Razer’s website has replacement magnetic plates with designs on their website that you can purchase to customize or personalize. I recommend this headset to anyone looking for an awesome online gaming experience.

Unboxing
Very appealing box design, as Razer tends to do well with this. The front shows how the headset looks, as well as all the different connection methods one can use with the headset. The back of the box shows all the features of the headset, as well as the QR code for Razer's Audio app and the app used for connecting on Xbox. Once opened, the headset is well protected, and all the accessories are very easy to access located right above the headset. The instructions for use are located in a little tab under the headset instead of just lazily placed in there, which I really liked.

Connecting
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. If you are unaware of how to use Hyperspeed Wireless Gen-2 Technology to connect via Bluetooth, then I would highly recommend downloading the Razer Audio Setup for Xbox app via your Xbox's Microsoft Store. I found it very easy to setup the headset, all you need to do is plug the Hyperspeed Wireless Gen-2 dongle into your Xbox via the USB to USB-C cord and you're good to go. On first time Bluetooth connection, if you are using a wired controller and your headset is not connecting, unplug the controller, connect the headset, then plug the controller back in.
Connecting Rating: 5/5
Microphone Volume/Clarity
While it is very good, my friends I played with said the microphone quality was a little bit worse than the normal headset I use. Overall it's still very good, but there is probably better on the market with regards to microphone clarity.
Microphone Rating: 4.5/5
Headset Modes
Default Mode: If you just enjoy sitting in a party with your friends, or you enjoy playing games that don't require the need to hear directional footsteps and/or directional gunfire I would highly recommend using the default mode.
Game Mode: Good for shooter games, you can hear footsteps well and it's very easy to hear where you're being shot at from.
Movie Mode: Very easy to hear dialogue loudly and clearly even at low volumes. I recommend pairing this with ANC OFF or ANC ON.
Music Mode: No matter the genre you enjoy, it has a great balance between voice and the beats. The bass, mid, and treble all hit exceptionally well. If you closed your eyes, you'd think you were at a concert watching your favorite artist perform.
eSports1 Mode: Best mode for shooter games, especially if heavily reliant on hearing footsteps. It minimizes the sound of gunshots (including your own) and background noise, so that you're able to hear footsteps very easily, even at a far distance.
Headset Modes Rating: 5/5
Active Noise-Cancelling
Ambient: I highly recommend this paired with default mode if you're just relaxing and you need to hear outside noises such as someone calling your name, your phone ringing, etc.
ANC OFF: All around very good, no matter what mode you're in. It still suppresses sound pretty well. I would highly recommend this for movie mode.
ANC ON: Best paired with game, esports, or music mode. You hear virtually no background noise, especially when the game audio is on I couldn't even hear myself talk.
Active Noise-Cancelling Rating: 5/5
Conclusion
Whether you want to listen to or create music, watch tv shows or movies, or you want play video games with your friends, this headset has pretty much everything you could ask for. Before this, my favorite headset was a HyperX Cloud II, but this Razer Blackshark V3 Pro completely blows it out of the water, and it's not even close. Anyone looking for an easy to use, high quality headset with plenty of features should buy this with no hesitation.

Sound just like my Sony XM5s. Bluetooth to my phone is easy and a strong connection and the same with my series X. I can connect both at the same time easily which makes listening to music while gaming a lot easier.

The sound was too wide. The microphone was good or I would’ve given it. A zero star after you upgraded the firmware before you upgraded the firmware. The microphone was crap, but the sound was too wide for the headphones itself. You couldn’t place where anything came from I play call of duty and I could not tell where any of the foot that were coming from where any of the shots were coming from or any of the gun clicks were coming from nothing it was a horrible experience. I went back to my turtle Beach
