I had no clue what all the fuss was about until I purchased the BlackWidow Chroma v2 with green clickity keys. Now that I have used a mechanical keyboard I will never go back to a membrane keyboard again. I love the sound and feel of my mechanical keys. Also the lighting is very cool and with Chroma apps my lighting reacts to events that happen while playing some of my favorite games. In fact I love it so much I also replaced my N52 controller with a mechanical Razer OrbWeaver Chroma controller that also has very cool lighting affects. I highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who wants a more satisfying gaming experience. The only negative thing I have to say is that the BestBuy employee who "helped me" was no help at all, when asking him if this was a fully programmable keyboard he told me "NO". If I had took him at his word i would not have purchased this keyboard, I had to do my own research to find out that it is indeed fully programmable.

I've never owned Razer products before when it came down to keyboards & mouse, I have to say glad I jumped onboard keyboard feels solid not cheap as for the green switches well I love them not much difference while gaming compared to the cherry red when it comes to loudness love the clicks, the wrist rest feels so good loving it , overall great product, I also purchased my 1st Razer mouse got the deathadder elite and mamba idk if I'll stay with both lol but if I had a choice I'd go with deathadder.... Razer new favorite brand!

Keyboard is great. The lighting options using the software are some of the best. I replaced my G910 from Logitech for this keyboard and am extremely happy. Key strokes feel great and the wrist rest is the perfect amount of comfort for long gaming sessions.

This is an amazing keyboard, bit on the loud side (easily fixed with o-rings) and very responsive. just like a cherry switch keyboard you can remove the stock keys and customised to your heart's content. the razer greens have a nice click to them, the bulk of the sound you will hear is the keys hitting the baseplate, which can be fixed with an o-ring kit.

I purchased this keyboard after getting tired of my dull Logitech G910 Orion Spark’s Romer G switches. These are much clickier and sound amazing! Typing is great and gaming couldn’t be better. The RGB lighting is also beautiful and extremely customizeable. Buy a razer mouse and mousepad to go along with it and you have an entire set of synced RGB.

This is a great, solid keyboard as long as you like it loud and clicky. It kinda bugs my wife, but I love it! And it works with my IOGear ExtremeX KVM switch, with both Windows and Macs hooked up. Lots of other lighted and gaming keyboards didn't work as desired with this switch. But the Razor kicks butt! I'm super happy.

This keyboard was my first, and only, high end keyboard and it is amazing still. Having purchased it over two years ago, I have enjoyed the quality keys and lighting in many different ways.
1. Razer Synapse is a great tool that allows for pretty much limitless customization to the keyboard.
2. The macro keys have served several great purposes for gaming and within some schoolwork as well.
3. The clicky feel of the keys are responsive and feel just as butter smooth today.
4. Cleaning the keyboard is a breeze with either a small keyboard vacuum or a keyboard slime sponge.

It's a Razer Chroma. It's RAINBOW. It is clicky! And it has an awesome wrist rest so I don't get pain from using the devil out of it. I'm beyond happy with this keyboard.
The only quirky thing, and I'm sure it's my pc and not the kb, is that when I shut down the system, the kb will still light up when a key is pressed. Which is fine, the LED's will last longer than time itself and my office is dark and needed a night light.
I love how programmable it is. I've set mouse-button shortcuts so I don't have to wear out my trackball buttons while gaming, and I can set it to spam-click if i want. Also love the different light patterns. But they had me at rainbows.

Well there are certainly less expensive options but this keyboard has a lot of features that make it worth the money to me. The tactile and clicky feedback on the razor green switches feels great. It's super precise and is a pleasure to type on and works great for gaming. The chroma colors look great and are very vibrant. Certain games like Overwatch already adjust the key colors according to the game and the individual characters too. It's such a nice feature. The side USB and audio jacks are also nice to have and the wrist rest is super comfortable. Overall it's a great option and I couldn't be happier with it.

Although most might not prefer the loud green switches, I love them. Have had this keyboard since June and it’s lived up to the expectations, the RGB lighting on this is great as it is on most Razer products, keys are responsive and quick with that satisfying click. The USB and auxiliary port come in hand when I don’t want to reach over and plug something into my PC, only con I can really list for myself is that the secondary function on the keys don’t light up. For example, the exclamation point symbol on the “1” will remain unlit as well as other accents.

I read so many mixed reviews about this keyboard before i bought it, so far it is been a year and still hood as new my son is a gamer and he uses it every day so far it's like new, it is easy to install (it comes with a software) but it can be use as a plug and pky keyboard, the quality is great and besides the price a little higher than others keyboards you get what you paid and i got a better quality compared with other cheaper keyboards than they didn't last as this one. I would recommend to buy this keyboard

I bought this for my 11 year old son. Here is what he said about it: This keyboard is one of the best I've ever used. The RGB features are awesome. The wrist wrest is really comfortable and I can game for hours without my hands getting tired. The keychain that came with it was really neat.
That being said, I've been gaming for the better part of 20 years. I've used dozens of keyboards and the Razor line has really improved over the past ten years. After using his a few times, I've considered getting one for my desk too.

I really like this keyboard. It's got that tactile clicky feel. I actually have this sitting on a home made lap desk and use it to game on my tv. I like that certain games have their own color scheme. The software is a bit buggy, but it works. I also really like the magnetting wrist test.

The keyboard overall was high quality, yet the price was a little too high. The switches, being green, was satisfying because it was loud. The color arrays were very neat and beautiful. All in all, besides the price, the keyboard was amazing and I would definitely reccomend this to any gamer.

I love this keyboard. It is by far the best one I have ever owned. It works perfectly and I have had no issues. Just be aware the keys are mechanical and are loud. For me and my girlfriend it does not bother us but it is something to consider when buying this keyboard. Everything works as it should and Love the fact we can have two different profiles for the keyboard back lights. ( yes I bought it because I am a 2 year old at heart and the lights change colors but seriously never buying a non-gaming keyboard again it is perfect).

This keyboard is awesome. It's definitely a mechanical keyboard to it's core though. The keys are very loud but that is what I was going for. The lighting customizations are amazing as well.

The big major con is the price. I would never pay almost $200 for a keyboard, I would wait until this goes on sale. Fortunately for me I got it while they were giving a free gaming headset if you buy it. The real showstopper with this keyboard is the Synapse app, allowing you to customize every inch of it: lights, macros, one touch buttons, etc. The included wrist support is VERY comfortable and the fact that is magnetic is a small stroke of genius. I've always preferred the wrist support but would get frustrated with the ones where you'd have to attach it from the bottom, and they come loose, or break. This eliminates all that. As comfortable and great as the keyboard is itself, you're really paying for the "free" software. Without the software you can download, its just a keyboard that lights up. The software is what makes it.

The keyoboard is great. I love the color options and effects but the Synapse software is the greatest. I've had issues with setting up the effects, like what the effects default to when the computer is locked and having the Synapse software remember my settings. Also, the Synapse software is a little confusing. But I still love the keyboard.

The Razer keyboard has the best interface software to customize the colors and settings of the user preference. Easy to use and it has the ability to set different profiles for each application or game. I actually have two of these (one for my son and myself). I purchased the green version which is the loudest of the Razer line but I personally think they are perfect not too loud and not too quiet. Thats a user preference. I will say the demo key that was present in the store was much quieter than the actual key clicks. I wanted a little more sound and tactile feedback in my keys. So I'm glad its a bit more clicky sound.
