Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the BlackWidow V3 Mini's high-quality build, responsive wireless connection, and excellent battery life. Many appreciate its compact size, customizable RGB backlighting, and satisfying key feel, with the linear switches receiving particular praise. However, some find the keyboard expensive, and others have experienced issues with the accompanying software. Overall, the positive feedback on the keyboard's performance outweighs the negative comments regarding price and software.

Excellent 65% keyboard..a little pricey, so definitely worth waiting for a sale….but overall the build quality and features make it worth the price. Keys are responsive and fast, and the 2.4g wireless is near lag free. Battery life is very good as well. Highly recommend.

Very solidly built, comfortable, quiet, lots of connectivity options. Overall just a great keyboard. Out of all of the keyboards I could have purchased, I chose this one because of the flexibility - you can connect it to your device(s) using USB-C, Bluetooth, or the 2.4GHz USB receiver that snaps into the bottom. This keyboard is great for gaming on my PC and for use paired with my iPad Pro. My only issue with this keyboard is that it could be quieter - it is quiet, but not as quiet as my Razer Huntsman Mini w/ Razer's Red Linear switches. I don't know why they use the Yellow in this instead of the Red, but the Red are quieter in a side by side comparison. Either way, very satisfying typing feel, very quiet compared to a lot of other mass market mechanical gaming keyboards. Oh, and the lights are pretty too. :)

I absolutely love this board ... I know it is generally a little expensive but these go on sale all the time at best buy ... I got mine for like almost half price and if your patient you will as well. I honestly believe it is worth at full price as well If you NEED a wireless mech board, you really wont find better quality at this price range .... If you dont NEED a wireless board and do not care about that then just buy a regular mechanical keyboard and save some serious money. I honestly use this board for everything tho because it can do bluetooth as well, I brought it on a business trip with me and used it with my tab s6. Works amazing and is super compact.

This is a good keyboard. I haven't tried the Hyperspeed connection yet, but Bluetooth is great with no drops or double key presses. It's a nice, responsive connection. Bluetooth is supposed to drain less battery and be less responsive than the Hyperspeed, so Bluetooth working this well is a good thing and that means Hyperspeed can only be better from there. I plan on getting a Hyperspeed Razer mouse in the future, and I like that one Hyperspeed dongle can pair with multiple Hyperspeed devices. For this keyboard, there is a hatch on the bottom that has a transparent, smoky black colored plastic lid which allows you to store the Hyperspeed USB dongle inside, and also see that it's inside there. It's a nice touch so you don't have to worry about losing the thing. I prefer the 65% form factor to 60%, because I can't recall having played any games that use the numpad but I at least want the arrow keys for sure. Definitely use those. 65% gives you that. My only beefs with this keyboard are: - That the higher the Chroma RGB brightness is, the worse the battery life is. It drains battery really fast. I tend to keep it on 1-5% brightness just so that I have enough brightness to see all the keys, but it saves battery life that way. (Keep in mind that if you want to change brightness, you have to download the Synapse software. Without it, you can change the RGB patterns and colors using the FN keys, but that's about it.) - The price. For a 65% keyboard it's on the high side, and I wonder how much of it is the keyboard and how much of it is the Razer premium. If you can afford it, it's not a big deal as the keyboard is made well, but cheaper alternatives do exist. Overall it's a nice keyboard. If you're looking for a good wireless keyboard, give this one a shot.

As I am a fan of linear switches, but not the unmistakable "clack" that comes with them, I was intrigued by Razer's claim that their yellow linear switches were silent. I was also looking for a keyboard smaller than a TKL, but larger than a 60%. I also desperately wanted wireless as I'm starting to see how good wireless peripherals have become for gaming. Not having a cord to deal with is one thing I've wanted. So far, all of the boxes are being checked. Backlighting, wireless, good battery life, linear switches... What else could I want? Well, nothing really so far. Some things so far are a great quality of life improvement that I never even thought of. The feet that you flip up on a keyboard to incline it usually have only one height. Razer actually designed this keyboard where those feet have two different heights, and it's pretty cool. I do like the "in between" height that I have the option for now. Being such a small keyboard, you would expect that it's light and easy to move around on the desk. This is true to a point, but the large battery and what feels like an aluminum backplate inside, it actually sits in place quite nicely on the desk while also being compact enough to pick up and move around on the desk without much difficulty. Good marks there. The switches are as I expected. Great linear feel, and the silent switches actually feel like they have a rubber film in the bottom to make the bottom out not have the distinct clack. You only get the standard rattle of the keycaps and switches from a mechanical keyboard that is almost impossible to get away from. The actuation distance, while awesome for gaming, can be a bit of a bother when trying to type since the 1.2mm actuation distance means that even lightly brushing a key will actuate it. You eventually learn to get around this, but it takes some learning over the 2mm actuation of a Cherry MX Red. The function modifier on this keyboard is implemented in a way that it should be on absolutely every keyboard in existence. Holding the FN key down will actually disable backlighting on all keys except for the ones where the fn key will actually change the function. For example, WASD are turned off since they are not modified by FN, but 0-9 on the keyboard are on (and backlit white) because their function changes to F1-F10 (- and = become F11 and F12). Brilliant implementation. More about lighting, when turning the keyboard on to bluetooth, the number 1, 2, or 3 will illuminate blue for whichever of those 3 devices it connected to before going back to the regular backlighting profile. It's a great, subtle way to implement the bluetooth connection indicator without having extra lights outside of the key area. Something similar happens for the CAPS lock and Scroll Lock (FN+P). Caps ( or P for SCRLK) will illuminate white and ignore the backlighting profile when it is turned on. No need for indicator lights off to the side by using the existing backlighting as the status indicator. The keycaps are pretty awesome too. I thought I wasn't gonna like the textured plastic over the smooth keycaps I'm used to, but they actually are quite comfortable to use, and the texture keeps my fingers from slipping between keys (something that can become quite an issue during a long gaming session). I've gotta give this keyboard full marks. It's expensive, but man does it feel like it's worth the price. My previous keyboard was a Hyper X Alloy FPS. I feel this keyboard was definitely worth the huge price hike, to some extent. Not the greatest value, but it had exactly what I was looking for in all areas.

Nice form factor, compact, save a lot of space on your desk if you use it primarily for gaming. I picked the linear switches which I think is the best option personally because of the more quiet sound. For working and studying, missing some keys might be a deal-breaker for some, but the function (Fn) key is there. If you have a wireless Razer mouse with Hyperspeed, you can connect the mouse and the keyboard thru the same 4.0 gHz dongle (via Synapse app), save you a USB port on your device. Overall, decent purchase, worth it in my opinion.

Overall this keyboard works very well and is paired with some fantastic software. Pros: - Razer software allows various lighting configurations - Keys are easy to remove for cleaning - Great sounding Cons: - Keys are very sensitive. I am constantly typing double letters when im not expecting too. - No wrist rest - Too compact for a 65%

First off, I want to preface this review in stating that prior to the purchase of my Logitech g pro x superlight and Wooting 60HE, I strictly used Razer products for competitive gaming (Apex, Val, and LoL). However, with that being said, as far as keyboards go, there are certainly better bargains for your buck available. For instance, Ducky One, Nuphy, etc. If you’re looking for a keyboard with a competitive-edge, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this one, but for casual gaming, the price and quality of the product isn’t terrible.

Next little bit getting used since the keys are closer together compared to a standard keyboard but once you do, this keyboard is fantastic. The keys are satisfying, but not too loud. The battery typically lasts me about a week or two before I have to plug it in.

I really like this keyboard a lot. I'm very used to tactile silent switches (Romer-G, Cherry Brown, etc.), so going to a fully linear keyboard I was a bit nervous, but it's turned out to be a pretty great option. Pros: - Great design - Keys feel really quality - Switches are very comfortable to type on - RGB is super customizable Cons: - No dedicated fn row (have to use a modifier key) - Sometimes Razer Synapse doesn't want to work - Can only connect to one Bluetooth device - No wristpad included (and the one they make is slightly too small to cover the whole keyboard)

I’ve gone through a decent amount of keyboards and for those who want a mini, this is definitely it. I can recommend this for gamers, or the work space if you don’t need your f1 row. I owned this product for 3 years before finally upgrading to a TKL brown switch keyboard

I also have the Razer Huntsman Elite, Huntsman Mini, and Huntsman TE. I really wanted to try a wireless version, and this did not disappoint. The linear switches they use are my favorite, as they are not loud at all, but still have a nice feel when they bottom out. Although it is a bit annoying at times when you need the function keys, that is just the nature of smaller keyboards. I do however, love that this has the arrow keys still compared to the Huntsman Mini, which does not. The benefits of having such a small footprint definitely outweigh the keys that are not as easily accessible.

Great sized keyboard with responsive keys. Has media keys on the bottom row with function held (typically far more reliable than 'media bar' rollers and the like, as those wear out and become useless after a while, such as what I have on another Razer keyboard that now aimlessly moves the volume up and down when spun) and backlight is customizable without software. The alternate key functions being on the side of the keys facing the user instead of the top is an interesting choice that works. Build quality is solid and it is heavy for its size with a good bit of non-slip. Thankfully USB-C as most devices are these days. I wanted a keyboard with as few extra buttons taking up space without use as possible that was still mechanical and backlit and this piqued my interest as it was on sale. 65% seems to be the sweet-spot for me as arrow keys are essential and 60% size lacks them. After spending a month with it, it is comfortable to type on, and is overall what I wanted. The only thing I wished (besides that it had Mac layout) was that they had had the green mechanical type in stock when I visited (mine is yellow mechanical), as I like the feel of those keys much better for typing since it is what I used previously. Of course, that is hardly the fault of the keyboard itself so I still give it a perfect score, and in the end it was much cheaper than in Razor's online store too.

The razer yellow switches are fantastic. They feel much more comfortable to use than razer green switches. This keyboard has a very nice build quality but honestly it is rather overpriced for what you actually get. The ABS plastic keycaps feel great but at this point I would expect PBT keycaps and an included wrist rest like many other razer keyboards have. The keycaps are textured and I haven’t noticed much or any oil build up on the keys so far. Other than the ability to pair your other razer devices to a single dongle there isn’t anything special here. No dedicated volume control options, no wrist rest pad, nada. Just a simple 65% keyboard. Another point is that keyboard shortcuts to change rgb lighting on the fly are not labeled, as well as the keys to pair to Bluetooth are not labeled. I find myself consistently looking back to the user manual to remember the keybindings. If you already have other razer peripherals then this might be the keyboard for you, otherwise you can definitely find a better keyboard for this price point
