BAD PRODUCT. WORSE WARRANTY.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop on 12/05/2022 and it stopped working on 10/10/2024. It was sent in for repairs twice and came back the same each time. Now they will not fix it at all because it’s been more than a year.

Powerhouse (dual-booting w/ Manjaro)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 weeks, so far so good. Sound & speakers are the weakness of this otherwise strong powerhouse. Setup was easy. Running this dual boot with Arch/Manjaro—after fighting through wifi, BT, and power mgmt settings, only thing left is to get the built in mic working.

Best 14 inch gaming laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AWSOME laptop. My only complaint with razer has always been the fact that they are finger print magnets. Bought a skin for the laptop and that solves that.

Absolute trash with even worse tech support
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop arrived with a hole in the screen which Best Buy was willing to exchange but denied by Razer. After arguing for days an RMA approved for repair at Ingram micro in Arizona who shipped the laptop back to me with a dead screen. Outsourced and awful tech support very poor quality control. Don’t believe paid reviewers the hype is real on poor service and build quality. Avoid at all costs

Great build quality, incredibly expensive
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a lot of issues with the iGPU on this model. While normally integrated graphics is an afterthought, with the new 6000 series of Ryzen, the 680M runs many games very well. For example the Asus G14 demonstrates what the iGPU should be performing like, handling many games well between 50-100 FPS with ease while maintaining high graphic settings. A large reason I would like this to work is because on the times where I do not want to bring the large Razer AC adapter and would like to use a smaller GaN charger to power the laptop I would be able to. With the 6000 Ryzen series, like the G14, you would be able to get away with plenty of games off USB-C charging and the iGPU alone. While it wouldn't charge as fast (or at all), the ability to do so is very important to me for a 14" form factor where mobility is key. With the refreshed Blade 14, I found the iGPU to be very faulty, I spent well over ten hours researching the issue. Between modifying windows power settings, older AMD/Nvidia drivers while uninstalling the DDU, fresh Windows installs, older version of Synapse, etc.. There was maybe a 5% time where it would work normally, and then 95% not at all. It would perform far worse on iGPU than my 5000 series Blade 14, and talking to other 6000 series Blade 14 owners, they also had issues with the iGPU. Ultimately, the laptop is going to perform great when plugged in, just highly disappointed it has issues with the iGPU when the 6000 series iGPU is a huge selling point in my opinion. I also disliked the huge price jump to get the 1440p model on this refresh, it goes from $2000 for the 1080p to an additional $600 to get 1440p. Compared to the competiting G14 being fully kitted out at around $1900 with a 16:10 500 nit screen vs Razer's 16:9 ~350 nit screen. That said, Razer's build quality remains far better and I found it handled it's heat far better than my friends G14 as well despite having a beefier 3070ti GPU. I personally love Razer's aesthetic, so if you got money to burn and you don't think you'll ever attempt gaming on battery/USB-C charging at all, then pull the trigger. Although if you already have a 2021 Blade 14, upgrading to the 2022 model is definitely not worth it. **Also whether the 2021 or 2022 Blade 14, if you restart your computer while plugged into a high wattage GaN USB-C charger, the device will run with the full power of the GPU until it is unplugged or put to sleep which will require another restart if you want that same high performance.

Razer Won’t Support Their Products
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Razer Blade 14 in 2021. The laptop is very small and the keyboard is comfortable. The trackpad on mine has not worked right from the day I received it. The trackpad wasn’t a huge deal to me as I used this laptop with an external wireless mouse for work. The charging equipment is extremely clunky to transport, though I figure it’s neccessary due to the performance oriented nature of the laptop. I would normally charge it via the USB-C port as the cable for doing this was much smaller, lighter, and easier to set up than the wall charger. The biggest reason I’m driven to write this negative review is Razer’s customer support. After performing a system update the laptop would no longer charge through the USB-C port. I searched around online to troubleshoot this myself and found several people have had the same problem I was having. Many people, some who had gone through Razer’s customer service and others who had reached their own conclusions, arrived at the conclusion the software update screwed with the USB port. The most common experience I read was that Razer would not fix the problem with the USB-C port but send these other people a second OE wall charging setup to make them go away. I reached out to Razer and found my emails answered by different people on nearly every response. Some seemed interested in being helpful while others weren’t. Ultimately, I was told they would charge me several hundred dollars to even look at the laptop due to the purchase date putting it out of the warranty period. I reasoned with them that this problem was pretty widely reported as being related to something Razer did that disabled a feature of a device I purchased. They made one last claimed attempt at helping me with a referral to the warranty department before ignoring me for a week. When they did respond I was again told it would cost me hundreds of dollars to even investigate the problem. If Razer is willing to blow me off after their software updates disables features of a very expensive PC I’ve paid for I have a problem with that. I will not be spending any more of my money on Razer products which they not only won’t support, they’ll disable out from under you.
