After a over a year of using this laptop, I advise anyone thinking of buying the Razer 15 to be wary of how hot it gets. When running demanding games, the laptop can get so hot it hurts to touch some of the keys. Other than the extreme heat it generates, the Razer 15 is a solid gaming laptop. You will not be able to run all modern games on Max settings, but you will be able to get consistent 60 fps at high to medium settings, depending on the game of course.

Like many my work and home life have changed a bit in 2020. I purchased the Razer Blade 15 to roll with the changes and couldn't be happier. Machine runs like a pro for both tech writing and gaming. Happy with my temps while gaming as they mostly stay in the upper 70's C. Display is clear and bright while the overall weight of the laptop make it ideal for work or gaming on the go if necessary.

Great laptop. Especially like the silver, as it provides a more professional look. Gaming laptop often miss the mark on this in my opinion, but Razer does well. Performance is pretty outstanding, but be wary of SSD upgrade, as there is only one slot. RAM is pretty easy to upgrade though. Screen looks great, and 144hz is plenty good for casual/casual+ FPS gaming. As an awful Valorant player, I appreciate having specs well outside my skill sphere. For 1080 gaming, this thing is fantastic, and for FPS, it does above 100 FPS on 1440p as well. High recommend.

Absolute monster for my on the go, out of state/country mobile pc gaming experience. I own a highish end gaming pc so I’m kind of picky about frames and performance. It runs games at max rtx or just max settings very well. Frames are more than fair for a laptop. (144fps 85% of the time on destiny 2 and 85fps or higher on other AAA games)144hz is a dream on a small screen. There are some small inconveniences. Mouse pad feels lagging sometimes but not really a bother enough to change your mind. If your gaming, I do recommend you use A cooling pad or in areas with a cool temp like 70° or lower. It will get hot but that’s always a thing on laptops like this. Play in a warm environment and it will probably crash your game to keep it from burning. I game with ac adapter always plugged in because that’s how you get your crispy performance. It does get warm when using but nothing too uncomfortable. Will use it for school in the future when I go back but that’s not why I bought this laptop. If you want high end gaming without traveling around with a ps4 or xbone because they won’t give you what this gives you anyway, GET YOU ONE. And also this laptop is upgradable so yeah.

My Alienware M17 finally died and I decided the screen was too large and laptop too heavy. I went with this 15.6" and was SO glad I did. This is a BEAST! Gets a little warm on your lap when gaming... but is super fast. I've been really happy with it over the last few months. I'd definitely buy again.

I recently purchased the new MSI GS66 from Best Buy and ended up exchanging it for this Razer Blade even though the GS66 had more memory, 240 Hz dislpay, and a 10th gen i7, and was about 150 dollars cheaper. The reasoning behind this is pure build quality. This Razer has near perfect build quality where as the GS66 had multiple small defects that added up to a poorly built machine. The Razer wins for me. Build quality 10/10, ridiculously quite fans, brightest rgb keyboard ive seen on a laptop, easy way to sync all of you rgb devices, sleek, and very powerful. A Raptor 27 gaming monitor sure would be the cherry on top. ;)

Great productivity and gaming laptop, amazing style and design and the driver and software support from razer is amazing. It does sacrifice cooling for the style, I use the razer laptop hub/cooler that raises the laptop up with a usb powered fan underneath blowing in the aluminum case that does make a big difference to performance. Thanks to modern silicon a lot of systems are only as powerful as their cooling so keep this in mind.

I’ve had older razer laptops in the past but none of them compare to this one! The mercury white finish on it eliminated the oils from my hands and figures that would often show up on the original black laptops. The 2070 max q holds up nicely too. I’ve thrown countless triple a games at it and all of them ran flawlessly. The only con I can think of is the battery life. I get around 4-6 hours of usage, steaming videos or doing homework, before I need to charge it.

Bought it open-box, only issue was that it had a tiny scratch next to the mousepad - saved me a couple hundred bucks! Worth every penny, love the color and the look - great graphics card for the money. Love how light it is and how it looks - glad the back logo doesn't glow the way the black one does. The rainbow keys aren't as obnoxious as I thought theh were going to be. camera quality sucks but that's not why you're being this thing.

I was super excited to get my hands on this Razer Laptop. It is mostly my gaming device but I do use it occasionally for productivity, It does get hot to the touch, but after testing and comparing with other gaming laptops, the GPU/CPU actually do run about the same as other computers. I am pretty sure it is the material of this laptop which makes it seem so hot. Can play all games at max/ultra settings with at least 60 FPS.

I was looking for a compact and powerful gaming laptop with an RTX 2070. If these are some of your key requirements, then I would highly suggest considering this laptop. A few minor callouts: The fan gets noisy. This seems to be a common criticism. Also, the keyboard takes a little getting used, meaning the location of certain keys. I figure this is a typical issue when trying to maximize space. Thanks and good luck.

Got it when it was on sale. Still running strong and worth getting if you want laptops. Its easy to use if you know what your doing but lots of the programs require to use razer apps. Synapses isnt so bad but you must learn how to use it to get full power just to game correctly. But the 2070 that came with mine is great playing games on ultra is easy for this beast.

Yes, it's a gaming laptop. But if you're looking for a Macbook-like laptop in build quality with more horsepower this is great! The chassis is super solid. I use it mostly for digital art, it handles 4k+ canvases easily and has an RTX card to speed up render times. I also love the mercury white finish over the black. I've had it for months now and no problems yet.

Laptop works perfectly. Only complaint is that it runs really hot. Like 90C+ hot... I was told that it was normal, but I also was told that this laptop would never get hot. Bought a laptop cooler and brought the temperature down a little bit, but during game play my hand gets really hot and the heat is noticeable. Gameplay however is amazing and super smooth. I’m playing destiny at full settings no problem. It’s good laptop to have if you just need a little something to get you by.

A fantastic laptop with a design that doesn’t feel out there! I can take this to College and not worry about it being too flashy. With individual keys that light up you really can’t go wrong with this laptop. Thermals are good unless gaming, which is alright because of how thin the laptop is. When lifting the lid of the laptop it feels solid, not too much backlight bleed either which is perfect. Fine doesn’t have the sound of coils winding neither. Keyboard feels solid love the travel time. Touch pad is amazing hard to find a windows laptop that has a touch pad as good as this one. Speakers are subpar I mean it’s a laptop, can’t expect much from there. One thing that would be a con is the battery very short time I think it’s around 3 hours on a full charge. If I figure out how to extend the life I’ll update the review. Laptop meets all my expectations. Just don’t lose the charger it’s expensive.

Best Thin Premium Gaming Laptop, Period!

If you are looking for a thin gaming laptop with high performance as well premium aesthetics and functionality, then look no further than the Razer Blade 15! This is my 4th Razer laptop (owned the original Razer Blade and have upgraded every few years since), and there is a reason I keep coming back to them even though I always read and watch all of the reviews of its competitors before each purchase. This purchase was a particularly good one, as it was like several hundreds of dollars off in order to make way for the 10th gen Intel versions. I was looking for the best bargain so I felt like this was the right choice for me. Top features: absolutely beautiful mercury white finish (think Mac Book Pro but actually better), sturdy aluminum body, individually lit RGB for each key, the secondary symbols and extra functions are now lit as well (drove me bonkers that they weren't lit on previous versions actually), the speakers are very full sounding and loud for a laptop (better than previous generations), oh and of course I can comfortably play any video game on it at a high refresh rate including powering my HTC Vive Pro VR headset! The one feature I did wish it had would be Gsync for the monitor. It appears Razer decided to use Nvidia Optimus to increase battery life instead (which it has excellent battery life by the way. I usually get 5 to 6 hours on a charge with full screen and keyboard brightness.) Could probably get much longer if I dimmed the brightness a little and lowered the refresh rate of the screen to 60hz if I needed it to last all day, but I usually only use it for a few hours at a time and I am usually by an outlet. The fans do ramp up fairly loud when you are gaming, but that is with any gaming laptop and actually the quality speakers help mask that, or you can use headphones in which case you can't hear the fans. Basically it is just a laptop that I really enjoy using for everything, not just gaming, and it can do anything you throw at it well. It also has at least one of basically every connection port that you would need. I keep trying to justify testing another brand of laptop, but these blade's keep calling out to me! There always seems to be some fatal flaw that keeps me from going with another brand (i.e. terrible battery life, awkward keyboard placement, too thick, too "gamery" looking, too cheap feeling, or too boring looking etc.) but the blade always ticks all of the boxes! I am digging on the mercury white as a change to the last several that I had that were black. It also hides the finger prints better.

I wanted a work/play computer that didn't look like a spaceship. Lots of research lead me to this gem. She gets a little warm when gaming on maxed out settings but to be expected and not unbearable. Solid feel, really like the keyboard and the track pad is one of the nicest I've used. Basilisk X Bluetooth mouse is another gem. Office and [CAD (could use an extra 16gb ram)], Overall I'm very satisfied with Razer.

She works! It's a beast that lets me run Doom Eternal and Borderlands 3 at full quality. It can get warm, so definitely use a hard surface for gaming, no laps. I know Razer has some reported issues on longevity, so will definitely update my review to let you know how it fairs long term.
