Great laptop package, bad battery.

Great laptop, runs a little bit hot (which is expected of this generation of Intel CPU). Be aware that these older models have the infamous battery bloat issue, which happened to me shortly after my 1 year warranty expired. Currently using it as a desk unit after removing the battery.

3 yrs later and still gaming!! 2 + yrs of virtual teaching hauling it back and forth to school and everything in between. I have replaced the battery once (started expanding), and have to replace the fans now, but expected that with the load/wear and tear I put on it. RGB chroma is still bright - my students jaws are on the floor whenever I open it up! Ray-tracing NVidia card doesn't even break a sweat even on the latest GPU-crushers. I did all the homework when I bought this rig and it doesn't disappoint. Now, if Razer would just continue expanding the mercury line...

I am a college student studying computer science and have played games since my days in elementary school. I haven't gotten into gaming computers until mid-high school when I started to use other competitor's gaming computers. However, my most recent gaming computer from a competitor got bricked due to a random motherboard failure frying nearly all of the expensive pieces of said computer after not even having the computer for a full year.
Needless to say, I was very distraught by this loss, and with a slew of programming assignments due within the week, I did not have much time to focus on repairs or go computer shopping. So I ended up swinging by to the nearest Best Buy to give this computer a shot. It has been a match in heaven ever since. I have had this computer for seven months now and needless to say, I am still enjoying this machine. Not only is this the best gaming computer I have ever owned in terms of power, but it is also the flashiest laptop I have owned with all of Razer's powerful features that any user could enjoy, regardless of gamer status. The specs on this machine not only help me tackling video games, but makes programming assignments much easier as well. Additionally, the Razer Blade 15 is also one of the lightest laptops I have owned to date, something I am to this day shocked by. So for anyone considering buying a gaming computer and considering investing a little extra dollars into a laptop, this is THE gaming laptop to get.
Pros:
-Some of if not the most powerful specs for a notebook laptop.
-144hz monitor allows for the smoothest computer screen available in a laptop.
-Incredibly light and stylish, while still managing to look professional in a public environment (something that can be hard for gaming computers).
Cons:
-A little bit pricey.
-Braided charging cable gets a little unruly, but does not retract from functionality.
-Due to how tight all the pieces are, can get hot when playing video games and while there is built in cooling, I recommend additional cooling methods such as a laptop cooling pad.

Slow reacting to internet and USB port did not connect to mouse. Keyboard was not what I was used to. Seemed not to be right for a new computer in many ways.

I was looking for a laptop to replace my Macbook Pro from 2013. This time around I wanted a laptop that I could play games on the go, but still have the lightness and portability that Macbook had. This has checked both of those boxes. Its built out of all aluminum, its thin, light, and most importantly I can play any game I want at high/ultra settings without any issues. The battery life on this thing is pretty good considering how much power its packing. Average internet use, I get about 4-5 hours off of it with the keyboard back lights on. I recommend if you are looking for something thin and light and that has plenty of power to get anything you want done on it.

The Razer Blade 15 is a beast of a laptop. I traded up from an 8th gen MSI GS65 and I am not disappointed. Everything about this laptop is perfect.
The build quality is amazing. It is machined from one block of aluminum. The chassis has no flex at all. My old laptop had so much flex that I was afraid it would break on me.
The performance is second to none. I play Destiny 2 and the Razer Blade has no problem. My old laptop would stutter and drop frames constantly. The Razer's 244 Hz refresh screen has made competitive PvP no challenge at all.
If you purchase this laptop you will not be disappointed

I just bought this a few weeks ago and this laptop is powerful!!! Runs great! the 240Hz screen makes gaming smooth as butter....i was contemplating with the 13" and the 15" and honestly I'm glad i went with the 15". I play games like Doom (2016), Fallout, but most recently the new CoD: Modern Warfare and it runs flawlessly!!
On the aesthetics; this finish is elegant and looks great! I went with the Mercury White finish mainly because of the cleaner look, the black looks great but this is more of my style.
Battery life is great, i adjust my settings low when im mobile - i usually get about 8-9 hours of just school research, web use, and usual work. I mainly game at home while plugged into power. This is everything and more than what i expected, this is my first Razer product and it's by far the best specs you can get in a laptop. Superb purchase in my book, definitely recommend

Got it two days before, the unit I received has some quality issue:
* Coil whine, the coil whine for the laptop is light and acceptable, but the power adapter has bad coil whine when playing game.
* One of the fan has strange noise.
Going to return this unit. However, I really like the design, hope Razer could improve the quality for 2020 model ...

The first month of using this laptop was wonderful.
This has beautiful graphics and the keyboard lights up.
However, after a month, I just wanted to replace this laptop.
I am going to list up the problem that I have so far.
1. monitor gets black randomly. this is a huge problem when you are working on something.
2. this computer freezes very often.
3.when this computer froze, any commands will not accept. including the start button.
4. boot up and rebooting is too slow for this speck and price of the laptop. this is slower than my old laptop HP ENVY with SSD.
I am thinking to replace this laptop after 3-month ownership.
