After 1 year and 5 months of use.....

I've waited a year and 5 months to finally review to laptop because it has finally gotten to the day where it DIED. Now for a 4.4k laptop (tax included), I would expect it to live for 5 years. Guess what? My laptop decided to die on me past warranty, and if you do decide to go with razer, UNDERSTAND that a lot of places CANNOT fix your laptop because they don't carry the parts and you MUST ship it to a razer warehouse. To inform you further, they charge $1,450 USD for a motherboard. At that point you might as well invest in an MSI laptop. I regret purchasing this laptop, it's $4.4k out the window, and I will have to make do the laptop constantly shutting off 8 times every single day. to help you even further: please understand that razer set their warranty at 1 year because you don't start noticing problems until 1 year later. They're not build to last, not even with the amount they charge. This is the last time I'll buy razer laptop, and will no longer support them. If you've gotten this far in my review, here's the pros and cons: PROS: Thin Light Touch Screen Cool Design Cool Look Cons: The design inside the laptop gives no space for the battery, CPU, motherboard to breathe, especially under 150F conditions. The laptop WILL overheat The laptop with 4k HD graphics cannot play games on ULTRA GRAPHICS, unless you're in a F***king ice cave (because the laptop will overheat and shut down) This laptop can reach as far as 212F, YES 212F, you can fry an egg on your laptop at that point, might as well be a full continental breakfast. Your laptop WILL SHUT DOWN if OVERHEATED The battery is so compacted and close to everything else that it will swell up if your PC constantly reaches high temperatures. (Mine swelled up, and had to be replaced after 1 year). (Note: find a good wholesaler and buy it for $90 USD, don't go to razer). Ventilation system is built poorly, the HOLES are UNDER the laptop, so you need to have a laptop stand. Sure, you're probably wowed by all the graphics... HD, i7 intel core, 1080GTX, don't be fool because none of that works if your laptop over heats and shuts down every single time. In reality: your best graphics resolution to play with this laptop is MEDIUM at best, but would stay with low due to constant over heating problems. All in all, don't buy it. Don't make the mistake I did, I didn't believe the reviews and bought this piece of crap. Also, the 5 star reviews are paid and are not real.

I looked forwards to this laptop, but as soon as I turned this computer on, it immediately started getting hot. I understand that this laptop will run hot but either my razer pro was either defective or this laptop just runs hot. By the way, I did not install any software or games because it got hot while I was trying to set it up, I installed google chrome and had one tab running, and it got hot. I bought this computer for video editing and photoshop purpose mostly because of the speed, and the screen is 100% Adobe RGB. And I was going to use this on my lap and not a desk, so due to the extreme heat, I could not use it for more than 10 minutes. I would like to think that my computer was defective but I don't know for sure.

    The Best $4,000 Overheating Laptop

Laptop overheated day 1 when I bought it. Couldn't even play more than 25 mins of gaming before the CPU was 97C. Brought in to Geek squad who also was shocked to see a $4000 gaming laptop overheat in 20mins of game play. They assured me it was a faulty graphics card and thermal paste. Received a brand new one a day later and guess what? Overheated in 15 mins. Tried different games and read every forum I could to try and fix it. Conclusion to all forums and my diagnosis is to not buy this laptop, return it and purchase a gaming desktop. Dang it! I really wanted Razer to pull it through with a ultimate gaming laptop. Not the case...

Poor quality control and support too

Overpriced and disappointed after 2 months. Did not want matte screen, but this one has over a dozen dead pixels. Poor quality control. Mechanical keyboard eventually started sticking and random keys fail due to driver incompatibilities. And yes, it heavy and it runs so hot that it will shut itself off even with an external fan platform. Finally, Razer support is unresponsive and after a week (Case: 01730752) they will not respond to help fix, repair, or replace it. Avoid at all costs.
