Three strikes: Done with Razer. Oh so bad

I used to be Logitech fan in the early 2010s. Still own G910 keyboard and it's still going strong. Their later software hub got me to quit Logitech when my G502 mouse died. So I bought an expensive Basilisk mouse and Nommo Chroma speaker from Razer, about 2 years ago. The mouse stopped working recently as it started skipping. Tried to clean, but not showing any hope. Nommo Chroma has been randomly turning off all along and when it does, it sounds like the speaker is chocking and I need to activate emergency CPR or something. Of course it is out of warranty. I should have returned it while I had chance. I was an idiot thinking it may work eventually. Don't get me wrong. These are nice looking peripherals. Problem is that its quality sucks. There is 2 strikes. And when my Basilisk died, I should have gone with a different one. Another idiot moment, I chose to try Cobra wired mouse. First day? Worked fine. Second day? Hm, I think it is.. skipping?? Third day, I log into my computer and soon enough, my mouse cursor disappears. And I cannot get it back. I AM STUCK. I unplug this garbage and find this $9 Logitech mouse in my closet and it works just fine with immediate response. 3 STRIKES. I am returning this and not going to look back at Razer anymore. As soon as I can, I am taking this Nommo speaker out and throw it away as I am sure Razer won't even look at it. True story. (And Razer, please at least keep the USB connecting area on Basilisk a little wider so I can use most of these USB cables that I have so I can update this thing. None of my USB wires, I tried at least 7, and none of them would fit into this tiny spot).

My previous mouse before this, was a 1st gen older Razor Deathadder essential. That weighed in at about 96 grams. This Razer Cobra /rgb mouse [model: RZ01-0465] is only weighing in at a light 58 grams, which doesn't seem like much difference, until you go from one to the other. This mouse is also about a 1/4 in size smaller than the deathadder, so that helps remove some of that extra weight. Pros: affordable entry level gaming mouse light weight, smaller frame standard buttons + 2 on the side and a clickable scroll wheel which can all be programmed via the Razer Synapse software RGB on the top and bottom of the mouse make for a nice desktop piece, (rgb controlled by chroma in the synapse software) (this mouse looks really sharp on a darker colored mouse pad, as it sits there and glows) negatives: Not sure if this is a negative for me personally as i dont have giant hands, but it should be noted that the mouse is smaller than standard mice, so if you have big hands this might not be the best choice for you. (Personally i like the mouse, it fits snug in my palm and makes for quick precise movements with how light it is) but i have a lot of friends that prefer larger mice to more conform to their hands and style of play so i felt i should mention this Overall this mouse is really nice, I am loving the rgb and physical lightness of the mouse, the software adds full features to this mouse, being able to control the RGB, and also letting you setup macros on the mouse and make full button changes with the software is a great feature and adds a lot of tweak-ability to the mouse. Having owned a previous version of a Razer mouse, it made swapping over to this one pretty easy. I feel Razer makes pretty good mice, I've never had issues of click switch errors 'phantom clicking / missed clicks etc' with their hardware unlike issues I have had with other brands in the past. I would recommend this mouse for anyone looking at getting into gaming on the pc and looking for a lightweight RGB mouse, you really cant go wrong with this Razer Cobra!

This is a more average mouse than I expected considering that Razer makes excellent gaming mice. This one however does not reach that level of excellence. While it has nice software and features the feel is too light. It is comfortable and change the dpi with the touch of a button but only three settings by default. The buttons are programmable, the cable is one of the best in the market today with cloth soft mess that makes it durable. Accuracy is again as good as other gaming mice I’ve owned nothing special. Design, look and feel are nothing to boast either with very responsive clicks and comfortable to the hand. It does not come with weights nor can they be added as it does not compartment for them. The cable is very long which is good. The proprietary software prompts to download as soon as mouse recognized by the OS in my case it’s Windows. I can’t comment about iOS because I did not test it in that environment. I consider this to be an average and inexpensive way to improve gaming experience with the nice software and it features from Razer.

The Razer Cobra Wired Gaming Mouse with Chroma RGB Lighting and 58g Lightweight Design - Black offers a lightweight design for those long nights of gaming while still offering quality build and styling you want to enhance your competition. LED lights make this mouse look as good as it feels. The ergonomic design provides stress relief for long hours of precision point gaming making the difference between winning and losing! I found this mouse to be a great option for gaming or precision work in designing flyers for work. When precision is needed, it is important to have a mouse that can give you micro-level detail without losing the comfort needed long hours in the office or at the PC. The look and feel are good. The buttons and layout work well if you want options without too much complexity that other brands and models can provide. The cord is braided so it works well on most surfaces but can be bothersome if you prefer or are used to cordless. PROS - Razer quality and innovation - Gaming precision - Braided cord works well on most surfaces - LED lights look good and customizable CONS - Braided cord can become a bit cumbersome.

Plugging in launches Razer Gaming Software Installer where you can install Synapse and other Razer software for customizing Razer products. If you are fully into the Razer ecosystem, you’ll probably want to install some of the software to manage all of your Razer gear. If you are looking for a quick portable gaming mouse like this, you may not want or need all the additional software. The Cobra will still light up and cycle through several of its Chroma RGB colors randomly without doing any special configuration though. The Cobra is very light, so light that it almost feels cheaply made when picked up. Then when you start using the familiar quality feel of the button switches and scroll wheel which are very responsive. The light weight makes the mouse very easy to move around but on the flip side when your hand is not on the mouse just bumping the cord can move the mouse. It is also a bit on the small size so if you have large hands the mouse may be a little undersized. It might not be many gamer's first choice as a primary gaming mouse, however, I think it is a good value and great to have as a spare or travel mouse for your gaming needs.

My son loves PC gaming and plays daily. He plays various games such as Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft on PC. We have an HP desktop that came with a keyboard and wireless mouse but the mouse tends to go out frequently. Other wireless mouses also seem to lose battery quickly and not stay connected. The Razer wired mouse is a great option for PC gaming because you don’t face any of the connection issues that come with wireless options. This one is also extremely lightweight so it’s easy to play with and is perfect for my seven year old. He also loves that it has the various light features. This one has a braided cable so it helps prevent it from getting tangled and breaking around the connection area after frequent use. There are also forward and back buttons on the sides so you can have easier forms of navigation. There are also a ton of customizable options with this mouse and the color options as well. Whether you’re looking for a more basic gaming mouse or one that has a lot of options, this one is great and is budget friendly.

Great Mouse, Maybe a Little too Light

First off, I knew what I was getting myself into since this is specifically described as a "lightweight" gaming mouse, but I wasn't prepared for just how light it really was. If that's your thing, this is an excellent mouse for you. I like a little more weight, so I was a little disappointed. Weight aside, this is a really good mouse for gaming. I tried it with my ROG gaming laptop and as expected it fit in nicely with my other Razer peripherals and synced with the color scheme I had already set up in the software. The lighting on this has a nice understated but interesting look to it. Where some of Razor's mice are either over the top with lights everywhere or kind of boring with just the logo lighting up this one has the addition of a light strip at the heel-end of the mouse that gives off a nice glow. I always set everything to the flowing multi-color and there was just enough animation to see that it blended in with my speakers, headphone stand, gamepad and mousepad . Otherwise, as a basic gaming mouse this is great and you can never go wrong with Razer. As with all of their products there is zero input latency and tracking is excellent on nearly any surface I tried.

RAZER Cobra - Excellent Wired Gaming Mouse

The Razer Cobra wired gaming mouse is an excellent option for gaming and daily computer usage. When I click the left mouse button, right mouse button or mouse button 4, or mouse button 5, there is a very audible mechanical clicking noise that lets you know it was clicked. Buttons 4 and 5 have a different click sound than the left and right mouse buttons. The audible feedback of the clicking noise is helpful to let me know that the click happened. The scroll wheel is a little more silent if clicked. There is a button that adjusts the DPI - or helps adjust how quickly motion on the screen happens relative to mouse movements (whether you prefer a small range of motion or a larger one). The Razer Speedflex cable (the "wired" part of the wired mouse) is very light and does not get in the way. By default, the RGB lighting on the mouse is a slow, gentle color change, but that can be adjusted with the Razer Synapse software. Windows automatically prompted me to install Razer Synapse when I plugged the mouse in for the first time. It also lets me control the preprogrammed DPI settings sequence (toggled by a button on the mouse). If you’re unsure if you want a wired or wireless mouse, consider that with wired mice, you don’t need to worry about if your battery is charged enough before playing. This one is a good option, and I would recommend it.

I would describe this mouse as a "medium" size mouse, a touch bit small for my hand but functions great, it has 2 buttons on the side and 1 on top behind the mouse wheel, I am not dissappointed in this mouse I like it, also the color lighting can easily be customized on this mouse with the app.

This is an amazing computer mouse! Great for gaming and casual use! It is definitely a must-have for shooting games. The two buttons on the side can be used for countless things and has definitely been useful! It's really quick in terms of response and the button on the top changes the mouse sensitivity everywhere. It comes with a cute little sticker you can place on your laptop or computer too! The mouse comes in a small green box that is very easy to open. I love playing video games with this mouse since it's just so satisfying to move around and use, very essential to my laptop. The mouse also comes with rgb which looks so cool and pretty especially while admiring it or just playing a video game. The instructions it comes with are very easy to understand and isn't complicated at all so I started using my mouse easily while only ready a little since the instructions aren't wrong either! This is a must-have for gamers that need a proper mouse while playing video games of any kind! 10/10!

    So Far So Good

I got this mouse to replace my old Viper mini. This one feels slightly bigger, but nothing I can't get past. So far, it seems to have nice durability. I'm prone to fits of rage while playing my Big Buck Hunter and Candy Crunch online games, so durability is a must. I've bashed it, thrown it, and slammed it. Yet it's still running strong after a couple weeks. They do make a wireless version, but the cost compared to this is more than that added benefit is worth.
