High quality key caps and a very nice attachable arm rest that the keyboard comes with that i don't think I could go without. The keyboard also comes with kickstands in the back that I didn’t know about for the longest time until my friend came over and pointed it out for me, I thought i needed a new chair because of how flat it was, but after he propped it up everything was fine. It has full media control in the top right of the keyboard so you can rewind, pause, and skip songs or youtube videos. There’s also a volume circle thing that I don’t know what to call because I don’t think it’s a slider, but you can turn it to turn down and up the volume of your computer, or you can click the circle in the middle of it to completely mute your computer and unmute it. The keyboard lights are also fully adjustable to your choice, or if you don’t feel like doing all of that like me, the keyboard adjusts the lights itself to the current colors of your wallpaper (pictures in the review). This keyboard is on the pricey side of keyboards but it really is worth the price if you’re looking for a nice keyboard without a budget Overall a premium full sized keyboard.

I was in the market for a new keyboard and mouse. I have owned quite a few over the years starting back in the commodore era. I had recently upgraded my box so it goes in line time to change the old KB and mouse as well. I generally spend a few hours looking over the products looking at reviews, quality, specifications and then narrowing down my choices. It came down to 3 choices and since I had the Razer Headset I decided on the Razer Huntsman Elite.. I required lighted keys due to being in the way over 50 club. The thing that caught my eye was the ability to program the keypads to different colors and motions. One more thing to play with. One extra bonus was a lot of the reviews wrote about how comfortable the wrist rest was. IT is not made of plastic but rather a padded leather/ faux leather that is VERY comfortable as I discovered after a few hours banging on the keys. The wrist rest has 6 metal pins that are magnetic and that passes power to the edge of the rest and it lights up in the profile you can either download or create your own. There are thousands of profiles and the work and creativity is impressive. The unit requires 2 USB 2.0 or higher connections. There is no USB Pass thru but for me that was not a deal breaker at all. You can always add a USB hub need be. I did upgrade the keycaps as I like the ability to see more clearly. I have added a couple photos to show you how this looks. A Great deal from Best Buy!

This is a very nice keyboard and I love the clicking sounds it makes and how fast they key goes back up when I let go of it. The RGB lighting is a nice touch however the rgb lighting did not want to power on at first because my pc needed to install the driver software first. Then I needed to register it and add it to the Synapse software and then it finally started to light up. The Synapse software is a bit glitchy though and every time it starts up after powering up my pc, the software needs some sort of update that disables my control of the RGB lights. It takes at least 10 minutes for my pc to start working with the Synapse 3 software after the updates are done. However because of the cool RGB lighting and razer design of the keyboard, I am now getting into the RGB Life. I started with a keyboard and mouse and now I also have the Chroma Base stand V2 for my Sennheiser Headphones that I use to record music with and finalize, I also bought the kiyo Webcam after watching several pros and cons youtube videos, I also have the Chroma Mouse pad V2 version added to my Razer Collection. Next in line will be the Raptor 27! Overall I am very happy with my purchase though I feel the Synapse 3 software needs work.

So far it is a good keyboard. I did have a few concerns like if the wrist pad will wear out but there are replacements out there. I prefer not to get replacements but there are ways to remedy the issue. The keyboard is a little high for me without the wrist pad compared to other keyboards I have tried but it is not a deal breaker. Overall, it is good but only good on sale. It is not worth 200 bucks but I got it on black Friday for 100 bucks. If you buying MSRP then I recommend the hyperx alloy elite 2 keyboard with red switches. I tried both of them and ended with this keyboard and I was surprised that an extra 100 bucks did not improve the experience and had diminishing returns.

Feels amazing. The new linear Optical switches are like butter! If you are a Razer fan, you need to own this board. If your not a fan or don't know what Razer is, please know that this is the new standard for a gaming keyboard. I use to run a Corsair K70 Low-profile board, and I really didn't see a reason to switch, until this board was released. Having played with the keys a bit via an in store display model, I was able to see that there was a huge difference in the solidarity of keys in my board and the new huntsman. Long story short, there are plenty of other boards and brands that preform great and will certainly cover your gaming needs. But..... the Razer Huntsman, with it's linear optical switches and soft leather wrist rest are hands down the best investment and prereferral for you money! Happy gaming out there! P.S. The Grey WASD caps in the pictures are pulled from my Corsair board and transferred with no issue. Obviously, they make it easier to feel the correct finger placement when gaming.

A very ergonomic keyboard. The wrist rest has a leather feel and it feels super comfortable. It’s like a pillow for your wrist. I never had a wrist rest before, but wow what did I miss all those years. The keys are super fast responsive due to the improved optical switch.

Are you a fan of linear switches? This keyboard is for you! These linear switches are the smoothest I have ever typed on. They're a bit on the lighter side, but you get used to them the more you use them. They feel more high quality than Cherry's switches, which are good but feel a bit cheap since they can keep like you're rubbing plastic together. The materials are excellent and the wrist rest is super soft and comfy. If you're an RGB freak like me, then this keyboard has you covered! In my opinion, the RGB is done very tastefully. The lighting is serves more as an accent rather than in-your-face effect. Only the letters glow, rather than the entire switch - which means you don't get much of an under-glow effect like on Corsair's keyboards. The volume wheel feels really good if you're like me and prefer a more tactile and defined scroll step over a completely smooth and linear smooth. The price is a bit steep but worth it if you want the best linear typing experience. It really complements the Tatarus Pro keypad since they're almost exactly the same switches.

I've been an avid power user of Razer mechanical keyboards for going on a decade. My two keyboards before purchase were both Razer Black Widows, with the first one originally purchased in 2016. My keyboard use is primarily for gaming/business. Lately I've been looking for a replacement for my Black Widow at my home battlestation as it was located in my master bedroom, where the clicks could be disturbing to others late at night. Enter the Huntsman Elite Linear Optical Switch Keyboard. First, It's important to note that the Huntsman elite offers two different switches: 1) There is the traditional optical switch, the fastest actuation of any non custom made gaming keyboard and 2) the linear optical switch, a smidgen slower in actuation than its forefather but nearly 90% quieter. At my local bestbuy the Razer section there had an attachment to it's displays that showed all 5 current Razer switches currently in production models. I was able to compare the optical and linear optical switch side by side and the results were nuts. I could barely, if at all, tell that the optical switch was a bit faster (and I might have imagined it as I knew going in it would be the fastest), but the difference in noise of the linear optical switch was night and day. Another bonus that I hadn't bothered looking up was the overall difference in size of the keyboard. The Black Widow's have an additional bulk to them that I suspect had to do with the original product design. The Huntsman is significantly smaller yet offers all of the same features along with a much more user friendly ability to control media sound with a scroll wheel located in the top left. It's built solidly out of metal and the product feels well made and well designed. Keystroke on the linear took all of five minutes to get used to. I suspect the key spacing on the Huntsman is a mm tighter than the Black Widow but I didn't notice any issues with extended typing. The only two cons I can't mention are: 1) lack of a usb port: this was standard on the Black Widow and I did like having it but the sheer amount of space saved doesn't make me miss it all that much 2) The wrist pad feels softer than the black widow pads. The black widow pads have a tendency to disintegrate with time (replaceable through razer directly) so I'm curious to see if this one performs better, the same, or worse than it's forefather. Additionally, since the wrist pad itself is RGB enabled, I suspect it's replacement will be costlier than the original Black Widow pads. Time will tell and I'll update this review accordingly. Regardless, I have no regrets over this purchase. It's sleek, insanely fast, very quiet, upgraded interface, and better overall RGB lighting than the Black Widows. It is most definitely an upgrade over the previous generation of keyboards and will be a mainstay of mine for years to come.

Great keyboard but keys react almost too fast

I've now had this keyboard for a few weeks, the keyboard itself is pretty good. Below are my pros and cons: Pros: comes with a nice light up wrist guard, and it's vert fast to recognize when you tap, love the customization of coloring and game setup. Cons: sometimes I find this keyboard reacts almost too fast when gaming, as even the slightest of pressure can cause a mistype/click. Also the razor setup for custom colors and settings is quite cumbersome, and I wish they had pre made settings for some of the more played titles, so you can use it as a template. All in all I think it's a pretty good keyboard with just a few quirks so gave a 4 out of 5

I ordered the linear version of this keyboard for a couple reasons. 1.) I have my gaming pc set it up my room with my wife and I didn’t want to disturb her with clicky switches. I was on the fence about these switches because of the low actuation force and sensitivity. My first thoughts are the switches feel buttery smooth and sound great. They are audible but nothing too loud. They will definitely take some time getting used to typing. I average about 70 words per minute so far, but I haven’t had too much time to practice. If you’re someone who rests your fingers on the key caps a lot and are not willing to or do not want to change that then this is not for you. If you’re willing to adjust to this keyboard and if you like linear switches it’ll definitely be worth it. Coming from a membrane keyboard I can definitely feel the difference and in my opinion the advantage of a mechanical keyboard. It feels very responsive and the quick actuation during FPS games feel very nice. The RGB is fantastic. My one complaint is my keyboard came with a very small amount of bowing in the center. It’s only noticeable when I really look at it from the side and does not affect performance in anyway. However at this price point that definitely upsets me and I’ve heard others have had more severe cases. However Best Buy has awesome return policy so if you’re patient and you get a bad keyboard you can return it and try your luck again. Keep in mind. Do not compare this to an enthusiast grade custom made mechanical keyboard. This is a consumer grade product and for what it is, it is very very well done.

Great keyboard with easy to use software for RBG lighting. I have not used a wrist rest on a keyboard recently. This keyboard comes with one that is easily attached or detached. It looks really comfortable so I may give it a try. This keyboard has really improved my gaming experience and enjoyment.

Got this on sale-- these are the quiet linear opto-switches, no clicks. PRO: super light to touch, will take time getting used to for typing anything. not normally a wrist pad type of guy but Wrist rest is super nice quality, like a pleather plush not sure if I can go back. RGB is very pretty CON: would only recommend for gaming mainly, not for typing up essays or reports. might consider TKL version with out the number pad and wrist rest.

I got tired of using cheap membrane keyboards so I decided to go all out and buy the high end mechanical. Love this board as it is very responsive, feels great to type on and feels very premium. Although just note the keys are pretty loud so it might be annoying to others, but I personally like the sound. I really like the included wrist rest as it is very comfortable to type on. The RGB can be controlled with razer synapse and it looks stunning. However it does require 2 usb ports on the PC to power this thing so I really wish there was a usb pass through for more connections. Overall a great keyboard and you won't be disappointed!
