Total Package. Great Build. Options. Nice Software
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To get it out of the way early, this is a great keyboard. It has a great build that is solid, metal (top), and with some nice weight behind it (but by no means heavy), but also a bit compact at the same time. Thank you Tenkeyless (at least for gaming). Also thank you for keeping the function row…and for providing media, volume, and button/macro controls. Nice adds. I love the looks, which for me says something as I often find many gaming keyboards a bit much for my tastes. Plain. Black. Clean. Simple. Perfect for me. This one is also a bit specific, but I also like the font choice on the keys. Again, often it is awful (for me at least). The included wrist wrest is functional, does help, attaches wonderfully (and securely), but I honestly just don’t like the faux leather look of it. Minor thing, just something to note. As for the keys themselves, I found them very responsive. Crisp. Comfortable. Great to use. As is. That said, it really is worth the time to dive into the software and dial in your settings for what you like and how you like to play. Being able to adjust the actuation setting was really wild. As this was somewhat new to me, it did take a bit to get used to it, but I think it is one of those things you absolutely get better as you use it. Same with rapid trigger. The crazy part, to me, is that you can save settings to the keyboard and make changes on the fly. You can also adjust single keys. Just some great customization options. Even though I am not a “huge” RGB guy, Razer does a great job with it. It is bright, very customizable, and is very consistent across all their products. You can use response, generic, standard, or customizable patterns. All in all, about what you would expect. Just a quick note, as I have been on wireless keyboards for a bit now, but I appreciate the wired aspect here. Obviously, better for gaming, but also, zero battery concerns. It is just kind of nice. Also, the supplied USB-C cable is a nice, braided design with enough length for it not to be an issue. In the end, this is a great keyboard for gaming (“normal” typing is good too) and I really like it. It has a solid build, a nice feature-set, is comfortable, and has a high level of customization. It’s also just fun to use.

Solid "game" changer keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Wired Analog Optical Esports Keyboard with Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation is a compact, solid, and light display keyboard. The adjustable actuation allows for a precise smooth feeling input for gamers. Setup was plug and play with the USB-C to USB-A. The Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Wired Analog Optical Esports Keyboard with Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation, just in case TKL stands Ten Key Less, so no ten key pad, which makes for a small footprint keyboard. The Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Wired Analog Optical Esports Keyboard with Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation has a metal base and three round control knobs, which makes a solid feeling gamer keyboard. The remaining keys actuation can be adjusted from the keyboard itself or from the Synapse software. A must for all gamers, the Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Wired Analog Optical Esports Keyboard with Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation has rapid trigger and actuation tuning to suit your gaming style. Being a wired keyboard, no batteries needed to harmed or replaced. I do like the tactile feel of the keys and the feedback while gaming. Since it is built and intended for gaming, without disabling rapid trigger, you are going to get a lot of spelling errors using it as a regular keyboard. Having a metallic case, it has a magnetic “leatherette” wrist rest, the wrist rest attaches to the base of the keyboard of course magnetically! Having just a leatherette covering, I would have possibly like a cushioned wrist rest. Overall, the Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro TKL Wired Analog Optical Esports Keyboard with Rapid Trigger and Adjustable Actuation is quite impressive with form and functions. Plus, you can choose a rainbow of back lit colors!

Another top notch product from Razer.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are so many gaming keyboards it is getting hard to distinguish them apart. They all look the same, they feel relatively the same and all have migrated towards gimmicky lights and features designed to attract adolescents. In that respect, the Razer - Huntsman V3 Pro does fall under that paradigm. With that said, it does have a lot of strong features that you find in most of the Razer lineup. In review: Build - The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL is sleek, low profile and refined. The top is black brushed aluminum with a volume control wheel and programmable buttons. The bottom is a high-grade plastic the gives the whole keyboard good rigidity. I would have loved to see the entire body made our of aluminum , especially at this price point. The wrist pad is disappointing, there is barely any padding and does not raise the wrist. Some may like the minimalistic design but after a week of using it, I did notice some wrist strain. However, it is nice that it adheres magnetically. Keys and performance - As with the other top line gaming keyboards, the keys are a pleasure. Great tactile feel, responsive and superb response. The Huntsman has an interesting feature set with the keys. Using the quick key command, you can use the dial to adjust the actuation point from a .1mm all the way to a 4 mm. Personally, I will never use this feature, but I can see people wanting different profiles according to whether they are just using them for typing or if they need the high response for gaming. These features (and much more) can be managed through Razer’s Synapse software. The real shining point for me is the feel of keys and responsiveness, it reminded me of times past of the old IBM M and F keyboards. That may not mean anything to the young crowd, but I assure you they were the best for typing at the time. In conclusion, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL is an excellent gaming keyboard and an even better everyday keyboard. However, it does fall short in a few areas. The big elephant in the room is the price. It is near the price of some full-size competitors that offer the same if not a better experience. That is not to say the rapid trigger, build quality, tactile feel and programmability are not top notch, they are. It is just not leaps and bounds over the competition. I own Corsair K70 as well as Razer Black Widow Pro and both perform comparably. The difference for me is I just prefer the full-size form factor. The spacing is just better and I like the extra heft for keeping the keyboard in place. I can see how some may prefer the smaller size of the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL but make sure you have tested out a ten keyless keyboard before you buy. Regardless, there is no disputing the high quality and performance of this keyboard.

BUYER BEWARE
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would put zero if it was possible. The absolute worst keyboard in existence. Overpriced dogwater. The keyboard doesn't even type. Buyer beware. You will be screwed. Great keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard goes crazy. The RGB is super bright and customizable, which gives it a sick setup vibe, and the keys feel really good to type or game on. The sound of the switches are so satisfying without being too loud, and it actually makes me want to type more. I’ve been using it daily and no issues at all, it feels high quality and responsive. Definitely worth the price if you want something that looks good and performs even better.

Highly customizable, very well made
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Razer's always had a penchant for excess in its products. But I'll admit that after they released an RGB equipped facemask during the pandemic I'd thought they must have been nearing the peak of what was achievable. But their latest revision of the Huntsman keyboard seems in some ways like it was designed just to prove me wrong. They are clearly committed to continuing their habit of introducing you to objectively insane features you never knew you'd love. So, to start things off, the key thing that makes this board different from many of its competitors is the analog optical switch. Most optical switches are fairly basic designs. You have an LED on one end, a photoreceptor on the other, and a sliding gate between them. When the key is up, the gate is open and light shines through. When the key is pressed the gate closes, and the sudden darkness is detected as a keypress. The switches here use a very different gate design that allows for partial occlusion that gets more intense the further down the key has been pressed, allowing it to not only tell that a key has been pressed but how far it's been pressed. Every key can give you the same kind of fine input as a console controller's joystick or triggers, allowing you to either get highly precise control for movement/throttles in games that support it without a dedicated controller or adjust the sensitivity for each key on the board independently. I won't lie: getting this feature fully set up can be complicated and more than a little overwhelming if you plan on taking full advantage of every key. It's also not something you're likely to use all the time, or consider to be indispensable. But it's also so. Freaking. Cool. And as silly as it may sound, that does count for a PC gaming accessory. The whole point of this hobby is to bring joy and for a tech head, knowing that you always have the option to spend a few minutes mapping your W key to your move speed in your favorite really does bring joy. Of course it helps that this isn't the only thing the keyboard brings to the table either. The build quality on this keyboard is top notch - far better even than the other Razer keyboards I've used in the past. Every single key has a stabilizer bar installed. The aluminum top plate makes for a rock solid deck. The two stage legs allow you to adjust it to your preferred typing angle. And the volume wheel is satisfying chunky and solid feeling as you spin it (though I remain confused why Razer has decided that turning the wheel clockwise should be the default for increasing volume, as if it were a traditional dial.) And the company's trademark over the top RGB is on full display, with all the configurability and game integration you could want. The only thing I find myself ambivalent about is the included wrist rest. I don't know that anyone's ever managed to build a wrist rest that was considered exciting, but I feel like Razer is the kind of company that could and would figure out a way to not only do it, but make it luminescent in the process. As far as the actual typing experience goes, again I have to give it high marks but with a caveat. Usually, non-tactile linear switches like this are tuned to feel very light and springy as a way of optimizing reaction times. These are not. In fact it's hard to compare them to any other switches I've used before. They feel substantial, almost heavy, and smooth to the point that it's almost unnerving. In terms of actual performance this doesn't really matter, since with a programmable actuation point they can be adjusted to be however twitchy you need for your particular play style. But there is definitely an adjustment period. It took me a good two days of fiddling before it started feeling comfortable, and it still feels a lot better playing a game on it than it does just doing every day typing where the complete lack of tactile feedback makes it easy to wear yourself out hammering on the keys. So you might want to keep your likely usage habits in mind if you're looking at this to be your daily driver. So, would I recommend this keyboard? Generally, yes. With the kind of attention to detail and fine customization on display here it's a product that doesn't even pretend to be for everyone but is nonetheless confident that there's a certain kind of gamer for whom nothing else will do. And I do think there are a lot of gamers out there who would love the weird fun that this new Huntsman brings to the table.

Solid tenkeyless adjustable gaming keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are a good number of things I love about this keyboard with the first being the overall look, feel and function of it. For a gaming keyboard, this thing is nice, it has the ability to make on the fly adjustments for rapid fire and actuation and even the ability to activate different functions through dedicated control buttons and the way Razer laid this keyboard out truly makes it functional for gaming. The switches are responsive, and actuation can be saved and adjusted to fit your preference or need during the game. In addition, the rapid-fire (or rapid trigger) mode can be activated and adjusted the same way as well. With the software, you can adjust and customize functions more for media, gaming and more and you can access macros with a remappable macro key. You can access 6 different profiles on the fly with the hotkeys at any time and 4 of the 6 are available to be customized to your needs. In addition, you can customize the RGB lighting to match your setup and rig with a number of games having support for lighting through Razer Synapse. I like the premium look and feel of this keyboard and my favorite feature is the multi-function media control button as I find myself using it most frequently both in game and when using it for normal desktop work outside of gaming. I'd definitely recommend this keyboard as both an upgrade and a great way to start updating your machine with Razer gaming accessories to give you the best in game performance.

It's a TKL that isn't lacking features & function
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is now my 3rd Razer Keyboard I have used. I've used the Huntsman Elite full size with the purple Optical switches for the last several years and then moved to a competitors half height mechanical keyboard and it's been fantastic as well. I've been wanting a TKL for a while, and this one fit the bill while retaining the Function Keys, Arrow keys and the Media Controls. It's hard to find a keyboard that fits this criteria unless you go with a custom board spend well over $200, heck even over $400 depending on Switches, Keycaps, the frame etc. This keyboard strikes a pretty good balance. I don't have any negatives of this keyboard. I do miss the clicky sound but that's a personal thing. The adjustable actuation is really nice. You can increase or decrease it depending on what you're doing. So if you want it super sensitive for more twitchiness if you will, you can absolutely do that. Or if you desire a more firmer press you can do that too. You don't have to go into the Synapse software to adjust it at all, it's done on the fly. To test out the Analog feature, I fired up Forza Horizon 5 and changed the keyboard profile to the built-in Racing profile. It did take some getting used to. Now while a Keyboard lacks any manner of force feedback, it will likely take some practice. Adjusting the actuation to your preference will help as well. I left it at the default. After about 10 or 15 minutes of playing, I was zipping around the map. Not something I'd ever think I could pull off on a Keyboard. No it's not going to replace a Controller or a wheel, but if you're not up to using controllers and you don't have the room for a Racing Wheel, this is a very viable option. The Analog aspect works really well. The harder you press on the key, the harder you accelerate or brake. Drifting I think was the perfect test for this given the amount of control you need over steering angle and throttle response and surprisingly this handeled exceptionally. Having the little extra room on my desk gives more more space for my Razer Naga Mouse. Typiing on the keyboard is quite pleasant and responsive as well (it's what I typed the review on). A someone that tends to mistype often, adjusting the actuation point for typing is a godsend. I do find myself occasionally reaching for the non-existent 10-Key and I have to remember it isn't there. There's an included wrist rest as well. It's got a textured leather on it and it's magnetic so it smoothly connects to the keyboard. It doesn't budge even with pretty rough movement thanks to the rubber feet. I do wish it was a bit softer and more supportive. It's pretty much just hard plastic with leather on the top. We'll see how long the texture holds up over time though. As for software, Synapse will let you do pretty much anything with it. You can adjust the actuation point of every single key individually, so if there's certain keys you don't need responding quickly you can increase the actuation of them and decrese it on the ones you're most frequently using. Chroma is of course present and again the options are endless. The only thing I didn't like with the profiles was that you cannot change the RGB of the Factory default Config. Easiest way around that is to just copy the profile and edit to your hearts content. I hope this keyboard lasts me several years. I'm already getting accustomed to the full height keys again. I'll probably swap them out for one of the other Razer Keycap sets I bought for my other Huntsman years ago. If you're looking for an alternative to a full size keyboard and still want your FN, arrow and Media Keys, this is most certainly a stellar option.
