Customers recognize the Kishi controller's ease of use and generally positive build quality, frequently praising its convenient USB-C port and compact design. However, some users experienced compatibility issues with certain games and phones, noting that the fit wasn't ideal for all devices. While many found the controller responsive, some criticisms focused on the feel of the triggers and D-pad.

This controller is solid, well made, and easy to use. My only complaint is that it barely fits my LG V20.

This controller works well under specific circumstances. You need to have a USB-C android phone. The phone needs to fit inside the dimensions of the controller. You will most likely need to remove any kind of case you may be using with your phone anytime you use this. I don't know why the ABXY button colors are swapped from the colors that Xbox uses for each button.

A game-changing device (no pun intended, if that is a pun). This is a device that really elevates the phone gaming experience multiple notches. The build quality is excellent, with the buttons being very tactile and good quality. It is easy to use and the compact size makes it quite portable. The direct USB-C connection ensures no lag when gaming and no need to charge the device itself. There is a USB-C port for pass through charging, but in my experience, only provides for regular cable charging (not fast charging).
An awesome device. Well worth the investment!

This controller was amazing it was my most prized possession. After about a year though the left side just quit working. And soon after the right side too. Apparently the fact that it retracts means there's a magnetic strip inside the strap and when that goes bad so does the controller. Good for a year or so of heavy use

Compact form is great for traveling, joysticks are snappy, ABXY buttons are good. D pad works fine, but could be a little better.. it seems to have a longer than average travel distance for activation. L1 R1 are fine, but the triggers feel kinda squishy. Powered by device is fine, thanks to power passthrough you can stay charged. Overall I'm pleased with this controller. I know you can get similar items for quite a bit less money, but I've had good experiences thus far with Razer equipment, so decided to go for it. Good luck!

Loved this controller. 0 latency. Online stopped using it becausey new Z fold 4 is too big for it. But it worked perfectly on a note 20 ultra.

This works extremely well. The only issue I have is the lack of games that support controllers on the app store. It has a great response time, no lag while pushing buttons and the extra port on the right side to charge the phone while playing is great.
Being able to fold this up and slip it into my pocket between sessions is great. Razer did a good job on this one for sure.
I would only wish that Razer would knock the price down a bit. I don't feel that they should charge THIS much for it.

Almost Perfect Android Controller

I always find issues with Bluetooth controller for android and that issue is high latency. Previously I cannot play Deadcell due to it. Even on a PS4 controller. However, with this, it works perfectly. Also works perfectly with xcloud.
The Joystick feels nice, it has a rough hard texture on the sticks and the button feels snappy.
If you play a lot of games that support controller on android then this controller is it.
Pros
- Buttons and Joysticks feels nice
- it fits my OnePlus 7Pro perfectly and converts it to a super functional gaming machine.
Cons
- It is an expensive accessory and depending on your previous experiences with Razor products it may or may not be worth it.
- The USB is only a pass-through, it will support whatever charging scheme your phone supports. (yes it supports WarpCharge30) HOWEVER because it is a passthrough, It cannot do USB Audio. I don't like Bluetooth audio because of latency and quality but with this controller, i am forced to use or use the built-in speaker of my phone. Not ideal. Maybe a 2nd Gen will get actual USB support.
Overall for my use case, play on xcloud and controller support games like dead cell, this is very good and worth it buy. Your mile may vary depending on your use case since not a lot of android games support controller natively.

The Razer Kishi is perfect for mobile gaming, including using it for emulators. The buttons have a nice feel when pressed, however the D-Pad is a little mushy and can occasionally lead to pressing the wrong direction. Overall, it has a very high-quality feel to it.

Purchase this to use for gaming on my S21 Ultra and I am not disappointed. No app to install just connect and use. So far I have found this to be compatible with about 95% of what I've wanted to use for. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was that it does not work as a controller for the ps4 remote play. Otherwise it's a great (mind you pricey) alternative to using touch controls while gaming on the phone

I'm very pleased with the Kishi, in terms of price and performance. I picked it up on sale and mainly use it to remote play my PlayStation and Xbox with a Galaxy S20 FE, and it's truly as comfortable as a traditional controller. Build quality is good, not great. The connecting piece on the back could be more rigid as the left-hand side of the controller pulls back a bit. It's not noticeable or impactful during gameplay, but I'd like it to be more solid.
Passthrough USB-C charging is very nice, but a headphone jack would've been appreciated. Bluetooth headphones are a must with this. I also wish there was a second speaker grille on the left for devices with stereo speakers.
The buttons all feel very good, sticks and triggers included. I'd much rather use these thumbsticks than the Switch's, there much greater range of motion and precision. All buttons are soft but accurate. I'd definitely recommend picking it up on sale.

I don't know even where to start. This controller is awesome in so many ways, You want a controller to connect and play games from apple Arcade get the kishi, you want to play android games that are tailored with controller functionality get the Kishi, you want to download emulators to play retro games: Nes / Genes / SNES / turbo grfix etc get the kishi. Now here is where I love it the most. I've been a huge fan of Google Stadia since day 1 even with all the hiccups I love the service and am a PRO subscriber, when you connect this thing to a pixel or Galaxy note 9 which is my case. This thing turns your phone into a Switch on steroids, ok maybe not in all the same ways. Switch plays physical and digital games. This only would play games online, that being said I have over 30 games+ from the 2 free games Stadia provides a month including RE7 Biohazard. To be honest some and most of the games aren't even available on the switch or is simply a pretty bad port. On stadia they play perfectly and with this controller you get a perfect gaming experience. This also works with Amazon Luna which also works seamlessly. I mean to be honest after everything I mentioned even at $80 bucks or $100 for apple this is more than worth it. So what should you take from reading this review. If your interested in any of the points mentioned. GET A KISHI!

It makes gaming on a cell phone so much easier and smoother. Huge difference from using fingers to swipe across the screen, sometimes blocking the action you're trying to see. If you have a case on the phone, the only drawback is you have to remove the case to use the controller.

Holy cow, this controller doohickey is amazing! I was very skeptical that Xbox Game Pass on my Pixel 5 would be worth using, but it totally is...as long as I use this Kishi controller. The very first game I loaded as a lark was a platformer and not something I would even really want to play, but I looked up about two hours later realizing that I had been completely immersed.
With this Kishi controller, my Pixel 5 is more or less a Switch, with the notable exception that I have some better games than my Switch. One point, too - there is a dedicated Xbox-branded Kishi that offers no additional value than different icons on the smallest buttons. In my opinion, there is no reason whatsoever to buy the Xbox-branded version. There *is*, however, a lot of reasons to buy a Kishi in general. Play works well, the build quality is good, and I have another reason not to talk to my friends and family, even when I only have my phone with me (and a reliable internet connection). Seems legit.
