This is my first Razer headset, I must say I am impressed. For the amount of audio features you're getting at this price point, Razer did a good job. The comfort is excellent. This can be worne for hours and hours without any pressure points being touched. Sound quality is above average, there's alot of volume and bass with this headset. You can also tweak the EQ to your preference via the USB dongle that it comes with. For consoles (specifically xbox because thats all I own) there's also alot of volume as well. Just remember if you're getting this mainly for console gaming, wait for this thing to go on sale and you'll get a nice bargain. Overall a great offering from Razer!

I actually mainly use this as my work headset as I work in IT support and I wanted something more comfortable than what I had. I also use this for gaming and I have to say the sound quality is fantastic. Set up was a breeze. Works with the USB controller or without. The chat level and bass levels actually change when you want them to so that's been a great feature with this headset. It's very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time although it's a bit heavier than some I've had in the past. Overall it's a great headset for both work and play and definitely worth the price if you're using it daily like I am.

For $100 bucks these are great! Bought them because I was tired of how cheap a lot of other budget headphones felt and sounded and because I game across all 3 major platforms (pc, Xbox, and playstation). I needed headphones that I could plug in to any platform and use them seamlessly. I can confirm that these headphones work for all 3 platforms and sound amazing, however the sound is best on pc due to Razer’s Synapse program. They allow you to make customized EQs and tweak the sound to just the way you want it. Need more or less bass/treble/mids? Change it yourself and find the sound that best fits the game you’re playing. I will say that the cord is crazy long when you’re running it through the small control module, but with good cable management you don’t notice it and it’s not in the way. A good portion of the headphone frame is a strong metal for stability and durability but they’re still surprisingly light and comfortable to wear for hours at a time. 10/10 recommend!

I bought these because I wanted a headset upgrade and wanted mic monitoring to use with my PS4. Unfortunately it appears that I cannot read, because this headset does not have mic monitoring for PS4. The sound quality was great and they are very comfortable, and I was told the mic works great in team chat. Great build quality and materials and cool stickers! However, upon further research I discovered that the THX Spatial Audio and the audio controller both only work with PC. The software install for these headphones was quick and easy. In conclusion, these are really well made headphones with great sound quality at this price point and would probably work extremely well for PC.

This headset are larger than your usual ones but the cushions are great not as heavy as i thought the THX sound connector works great and the surround program from Razer is really good.

I recently switched from a reliable but fairly plain pair of Logitec headphones. I'm really enjoying the lightness of my new headset. I wear glasses, and the weight and overall fit of the headset is important to me. The cooling gel has also made a big difference in my comfort level during long sessions (very pleased with that). The sound quality is also wonderful. (I didn't have a complaint about the sound of my old headphones, but the improved sound quality was immediately obvious.) The retractable mic is also a nice feature. I wish the volume control panel had a clip on it, but it's still a 5 star product IMO.

These are lightweight and comfortable, and they sound AMAZING. You can customize the EQ using Razer's software and the Spacial THX thing is basically the equivalent to what others sell as 7.1 surround. The mic is retractable, which hides it almost completely. It works on USB and 3.5" mini plugs. If you use USB it goes through the little remote box where you can change the volume, the bass, control the mic, and turn on/off the THX feature. The software used to control the EQ and such is easy to use and lightweight so it doesn't affect the computer's performance.

THX isn't great at all. It sounds terrible. The best setting I've found is to leave it as stereo, no surround sound and no THX. Even with just stereo, it doesn't sound good as other headsets I've used. There's an EQ you can use with the Razer software for PC, but I haven't been able to find a good setup from messing with it nor trying out other people's settings. The headset is comfortable though, I'll give it that. The ear cups kind of stick out a lot so it may look odd for video calls. No RGB, just the way I like it. The headset is too short for PC without the THX box, so I have the THX box on my desk but really only use it for volume and mute. Mic is good according to all my friends I talk online with. THX and surround sound is only used for PCs as far as I know. Console players wouldn't know how bad it really is since they'd be using stereo. I wish I was able to pick this up for $55 or whatever it was during black friday, but I didn't need it at the time. I picked it up for $70 2021 January. For $50, I'd say its an okay buy. Anything more, I don't think its worth it. By the way, many people online say they recommend getting Dolby Atmos and something else on microsoft for PC because it will make it sound much better. Razer software actually works compared to Arctis.

I've used this headset for a month now and it's Awesome!! It's super durable and fits even my big head comfortably!! I have even been getting the one up on other players in the Shooters i play because I can hear them coming so much better than my last headset... It also makes all the music and Movies I watch so so much clearer as well... nice Bass as well!!! The THX is nice and there are a lot of options under the app that comes with this which all seem to be rather nice as well... I definitely recommend this headset!!

Needed a new headset for Discord/xbox/ps4. Always a fan of having easy access to volume and mute on the cord. Headphones are comfortable, no issues wearing them for extended periods of time and no issue with sound quality. The mic set up is kinda weird, at least I had never seen one that pulls out of the ear like this, but it works well and it makes the length of the mic adjustable so that is neat. The headset is a little big, I probably wouldn't use it personally for with my phone, but I might if I played games on it.

    Razer-Kraken over-the-ear headphones

The Razer Kraken provides good sound quality and sound isolation without bearing down on your ears. My on-the-ear phones are actually more comfortable but the Razer over-the-ear phones are better for gaming and more private listening. The only fault might be the software ... the Synapse software is a bit problematical and may require unplugging and re-plugging the USB cable to gain the surround sound function.

Solid pair! This $100 headset combines clever design, stellar audio and a comfortable fit, along with some bells and whistles that aren't at all common in this price range. And even though the headset is a bit unwieldy, you can absolutely make it your everyday pair of music headphones, thanks to a widely compatible design and a fairly subdued appearance.

My wife says I collect head sets like I collect sun glasses but typically I've been getting single ear, mic headphones to chat online with friends while playing. I wanted to switch it up and see if hearing the 3dsound in game made a difference ... ANSWER: It totally does. The headphones are comfy, the mic has a hide feature which is great when I'm in single player mode, they connect to PC and Console of your choice.

This is the top tier for headsets. I've owned Turtle Beach's wireless variant, the most expensive version and one not as much. This takes the cake, the eye wear channels for those of us who have to wear glasses, the control panel is great, and it's compatible across my Xbox, PlayStation, and works amazing on my computer. This really is the best purchase I've made from Best Buy! (I recommend buying the kitty ears)

These sound absolutely incredible for the price. I plug these directly into my Series X, and the sound is just unreal. Great bass. Very clear mids and highs. I can't speak on the quality of the mic because I never use it, but the quality of the sound itself, particularly the low end and the surround aspects of it, are great. It's also very comfortable.

Nice all around headphone. Very good sound. Over the ear design is very comfortable and provides a good deal of sound blocking just from the fit. Retractable boom mike keeps the mike out of the way when not needed and less likely to be damaged during storage. The mike/volume controller is easy to use for volume adjustment and microphone control.

Easy to use. Fun to wear. Outside sounds do not interfere while gaming. Mic is easy to pull out and push back in for storage. Can connect to razer control for sound as well. Very long cords that make placement wonderful. The sound stick can be stuck anywhere(great adhesive), such as on desk or on the tower.

These are probably the 5th set bought in our house (2 gamers, raised 2 puppies lol). Husband needed to replace his due to use (he has them on his head 12-14 hours a day. Great sound quality, comfortable fit. The only downside is the volume control on the cord makes it easy to hit and turn yourself up or down without realizing it.

I've been looking for a good quality headset for multiplatform gaming and just listening to music. I considered getting the Razer Kraken Ultimate edition but it's only USB. This was the perfect option so I could play on my Switch, PS4, PC, etc. The optional external controls are really nice too. I'm ordering another one soon for my boyfriend.

Headphones are awesome, well made, incredible comfort and great sound. My son loves them! Software is rubbish & caused Windows 10 to freeze on boot up. Had to disable it in safe mode & everything worked fine. I took off 1 star for the hassle & grief at Christmas!
