No problems!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had no issues with the headset! I always prefer wired headsets/headphones so I don't have to worry about charging, connection, or losing them. The regular and THX surround sound both work wonderful. The mic is so crisp, you always sound clear when talking to others. So glad I got these!

Great pair of headphones but not best for Ps5
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It says PS 5 compatible, however, would have to connect to console instead of actual controller which can be uncomfortable.

Not so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Razer Kraken in the package looks good, but not so in action. Too many issue with the mic and to much trouble for hearing in Warzone. This are more like signing or something because has like an studio hear, you can here your voice which in gaming is bad.

Excellent Headset, but starting to show its age
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Had this for just over a year, the sound is excellent, mic and how you sound is also good, its comfortable, and leaves plenty of room for those of us with cartilage piercings which is the main reason i bought this, buttons for muting or adjusting volume is easy and logically placed Cons: after a year, where the wire comes in the headset its starting to come lose so the headset will disconnect and reconnect at times, it is a little on the heavier side, so my head & neck do get a little sore if i've been gaming for long hours, and the button on the mic to mute yourself sometimes doesn't alway trigger either to come on or go off, it sometimes takes a click or two, and last but not least, the scroll button to adjust volume on the headset, i always hit the thing without realizing

Finally, a Genuinely Good Headset from Razer!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an Arctis Pro + GameDAC that sounded really good with excellent 3D positional sound, but the DAC was extremely glitchy it’s entire life and kept switching from Game to Chat every time I woke the PC from sleep or launched a game. I had to unplug/re-plug the DAC nearly every time to get it to run the GameDAC Game mode. Eventually the DAC crashed entirely and Game would no longer work at all, leaving me with only Chat and the chat mode sounded meek for in game audio. Steelseries agreed to RMA it even though it was out of warranty (Good on you Steelseries!) since it was a known issue, but they would only RMA the DAC and not the entire headset & DAC. Stock on the DAC only was constantly MIA thanks to covid, so I waited nigh on 11 weeks before the DAC alone was available. In the meantime, I first bought the Astro A40 + MixAmp, which I owned less than 24 hours, then took that back and bought the Kraken Ultimate headset instead, so I would have quality game/chat audio with clan mates while I waited for the DAC. To be honest, I was intending to return the Kraken if the DAC showed up within the 14 day return period, or sell the Kraken when the DAC showed up if outside the 14 days. *shame faced* Well color me surprised because this headset truly kicks gluteus maximus, and I may just sell my $243 Arctis Pro + GameDAC if the replacement DAC ever arrives, and keep the Kraken Ultimate instead. This is a really good headset and for $120 less than the Arctis Pro + GameDAC, or the even more expensive ($250) and abysmally bad Astro A40 + MixAmp. With the THX Spatial audio on the Razer Kraken Ultimate ($129 on BestBuy), you can tell exactly where an enemy is in 3D sound, vs approximately knowing the direction with the 2D plane surround of many competitors, which doesn’t help locate opponents above/below you. And the Kraken Ultimate is ridiculously better than the abysmal stereo from all directions at once, bad guy echoing from everywhere “directional” sound of the Astro A40 + MixAmp (Why does the A40 + MixAmp get nearly 5 stars?! Really, it was awful! Like $30 ultra budget headset bad!). The sound on the Kraken Ultimate is deep, rich and full with solid bass, while not sounding muddy and bears full presence while sounding crisp (as long as you don’t turn bass boost on, which makes everything in game sound muddy). By comparison, the Astro A40 + MixAmp distorted at low volumes, had no presence, and 16" naval guns sounded like those paper 4th of July snappers you throw at the ground, or a drum stick against a galvanized trash can lid, and that is being generous. (I know I said it, but I'm still trying to figure out why that pile of awfulness gets nearly 5 stars?? It is shockingly bad for a $250 headset!). Audio on the Kraken Ultimate is genuinely great, customization & personalizing options for the sound settings and EQ tweaking is abundant, it has double the EQ band adjustments over it’s far more expensive A40 brethren (10 vs 5 bands) and more MIC adjustments to dial in how your voice sounds. The MIC is also clear and easy to understand and mutes easily with a press on the MIC itself, with a red light on the MIC to let you know it is muted. It is also comfortable on the head with no pressure points and has larger ear cups than any Razer headset I have previously owned, so no pressure on the ears at all. This headset seriously competes with rivals far senior in price ($243 Arctis Pro + GameDAC), and annihilates the $250 Astro A40 + MixAmp in every category. My one and only quibble with the Kraken Ultimate headset, is that the cord is about 3 feet shorter than the others (approx 6’ vs 9’), necessitating plugging it into a front port on your PC tower vs the rear port that I had the others plugged into, and a re-route of the cord as a result. If Razer would add 3 foot of cord to this thing, it would be a 5 star headset all day long without even blinking. Even with the short cord issue, I still give the Kraken Ultimate a solid 4 and totally recommend this headset. Just make sure your front ports are working & reliable before buying.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Kraken Ultimate Wired Gaming Headset in Classic Black is a testament to quality and performance. Designed for PC gamers, it excels on multiple fronts. The 50mm drivers produce clear, immersive sound with THX Spatial Audio, delivering a competitive edge in gameplay. More than enough for most people
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite comfortable. Good sound. Decent Microphone. Simple customisation. Overall for $60 the quality you get is ridiculous. If you find these in offers or deals you should give them a shot. Been playing on earphones for a while so it got a little while to get used to sound and work with volumes properly. But in the end these allow you to enjoy your games and content. The RGB is cool, even though you never get to see them, if you do video calls quite often it is a nice look. Only criticism. I don’t understand why the software isn’t available for Mac. Synapse 3 opens and adds all these features to your headset. It works fine on windows, I would love to see Razer throwing the app for Mac.

great sound, great mic
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have gone through a number of headsets over the years. Usually the band that connects the two earphones fatigues and breaks. These seem to have a metal band inside that shows no sign of breaking down. Sound quality is good enough for gaming and teleconference calls. The USB interface plugs and plays in both Windows and Linux without additional software. I like that the microphone has a red LED to indicate when the mic is off. I like that positive indication to show when I have privacy. I don't recall what I paid for this headset but it was reasonable considering the brand and quality.

||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Razer is amazing. Their peripherals are my favorite. Im a grown man. They are comfortable and they are quality. Sound is crisp. I'm sure if you spent more money you would get a higher end product, but this approaches the line. The quality and prices makes this worth your money.

My favorite headset
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this headset for almost 2 years and it's still amazing. It is a little on the heavier side, but I kind of enjoy knowing it's there versus not, like with the black shark V2. Bass and sound is incredible, and the 360 audio is insane. Only complaint I have is the cord likes to get tangled really easily, and I don't know how to fix it.

Great headset
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is really good and the mic is excellent considering that’s from a headset and not an actually microphone. I have had this headset for about 2 years and it’s still holding up. Lastly the headset volume is really good and it fits and covers your ears making it noise cancellation
