Solid Headset for Gaming

I have been playing Helldivers 2 with the headset and it has given me solid performance. The headset has versatile connection options: wireless radio, Bluetooth and wired. It's easy to switch from Bluetooth to the wireless radio, and the option to go wired is good to have.
The 40MM driver gives good performance in terms of audio clarity and overall performance. The THX spatial audio technology works pretty well in the game, but somehow, it’s not that truly impressive. Microphone performance is great as people don’t have problems hearing my voice. So, in terms of gaming performance, the Kraken is a great headset.
Another thing that I like about the headset is the retractable microphone design, which makes it easier to store the headset. The overall design, however, is unmistakably geared more towards younger generations with flashy LED on the earcups. Also, there are cables visible connecting the headband to the earcups, which I find quite unappealing.
This headset is a solid choice for those who want to use it for gaming. But you might hesitate to use it outside your gaming room as a regular headset.

I wanted to get a top TOP tier headset that was was part of the Razer family. This headset more than exceeded my expectations. I read some of the reviews and I wasn't really sure I made the purchase on an uncertainty. From the moment I put it on that began to change. Great weight, premium sound fantastically tuned drivers that work in sync with it with out the customized software. You can tell it's been tuned for premium gaming sound and music and even movies. Its nice to not tweak any settings and just be able to plug and play. If your debating it's better than pretty much all the other headsets and even some of the top tiers. I've tried them out and still went back to this one.

Good sound and comfort. Average features. Bad mic.

In my opinion, the microphone quality, Bluetooth integration, and game/chat mixer implementation drag down what seems like an otherwise solid product. I have no problems with the audio quality, build quality, or comfort at the $180 price point; if it just had a better mic, or the same kinds of feature implementation that you can find on the Astro A50 X or SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7, this would be an easy recommendation from me.
Complaints/Problems:
- The microphone is below average (especially compared to the Blackshark V2)
- Mic monitoring is nearly worthless because it’s not loud enough, clear enough, and produces non-stop static
- You cannot use Bluetooth and in-game audio at the same time like you can with the A50 X and Arctis Nova 7; you can only use one at a time
- The game/chat mixer was poorly implemented, and Razer could have made it easier to use, 100%
Pros:
- Audio quality is solid for 40 mm drivers. Size isn’t everything apparently.
- Amazing level of adjustability. These should fit everyone’s head.
- Cushion material is nice if you like the SteelSeries 'AirWeave' style
Overall, I don’t think this warrants a “stay the heck away from it,” but I do advise caution for anybody expecting similar features to something like the A50 X. It's hard to justify owning these as the mic quality and game/chat mixer issues basically prevent me from using them when gaming with friends.

I was a daily driver of the Kraken X and Kraken v3 before I decided to move the Nari ultimate's and commit to using wireless over wired.
While I enjoyed the Nari Ultimate, they had a couple key issues that prevented me from enjoying them to the fullest. They were bulky, heavy, and the battery life was abysmal.
All three of those issues have been addressed with the Kraken V4. They are probably over 40% lighter, almost half as bulky, and the battery life is incredible.
In addition, they've finally moved over to USB type 3 connection and charging vs the old Micro USB in the Nari Ultimate.
Over the limited time I've been using the Kraken V4, I have no complaints, besides the steep price point.

Good Heatset, battery lasts all day (as of 3 months of ownership and charged every night), good mic quality, somewhat problematic software, good quality sound (7.1 surround and THX sound are behind paywalls). works well, around 20-30ft range from dongle

So far I'm very happy with this headset. The sound is great. I like the auto transition between the bluetooth and wireless. When my computer sound stops it will play what i have going on my phone. It blocks outside sounnld well and the battery lasts a good while.

Honestly I would say good for the price, It's weird that Razor went the route of USB-C but they give you a cord that can quickly convert the USB-C to Normal USB just seems a little redundant. The Mic being able to slide in and out is nice, but it almost seems like a weak point down the road. Sounds quality is good very clean 7 to 1 is always nice. The Battery life is amazing I think avg. without charging the headset and when I do get to use it Time usage added up to almost 3 days of use maybe even a week before it Alerts you to low battery. Still the Razer Apps that can come with Razor products are still fairly glitchy but the color can all be changed around, Also the ear muffs are so soft much better than the Kraken 3. Overall I would say the headset is good and I would Recommend.

The Quality of the physical headset is pretty nice. However the Mic is a step back from the newest Blackshark model. Also these headphones will not have Haptic feedback like the V3, unless you shell out another $200. I had no real complaints about the sound quality. Obviously never expect Audiophile from Razer quality but for gaming, They're excellent. But sometimes i felt like i could never get them quite loud enough on console. That might be for the better, Less damage on your hearing. I recommend customizing the sound via your laptop, As many people believe the default options to be rather poorly mixed which i think is fair. Overall i would give them about a B. They just need to fix some stuff.

Excellent sound quality and not too heavy to wear for extended periods of time. The ear pads could be thicker to form a better seal for external noise reduction. Otherwise a good buy.

Sound quality is good and doesnt have that flakey coating that tends to come off where the headphones make contact around your ears. The only really annoying problem is that its really easy to accidentally push the mute and mode buttons when putting on and taking off the headphones
