The sound system is really awesome for listening sand making you feel like you're actually in the game. All the sound systems are adjustable as well as the light effects. The only issue that I have, is the microphone isn't as great of quality than other headsets of similar price.

They work well the set up instructions are useless the vibration is cool for fps nothing beats 5.1 speakers for spatial sound but these are nice if you need wireless headphones with a mic

The sound is good, it's a little bass heavy so if you like bass these are for you. The haptic function I thought would be a gimmick but it's actually pretty cool.

This is so good that I can't even explain it. It literally shacks and you feel the bass! I have tried so many $250-$350 headsets and this beats them all by far. The sound if very clear and you can turn on or off the bass shacking if you don't like it. It will make you fall in love with your music and games again. Warning you have to use the Razer app to get the features like the bass shacking and lights and other stuff.

I love the bass in these. Great sound and the bass adds to game. Mainly played with RE2 remake and it adds to the jump scare factor. Definitely recommend.

First thing. Sound preference is subjective to the listener. With that being said I have had too many headsets to remember. I wont say these are the best ever but the trade off is the haptic feedback. For me its worth a little less sound fidelity for this effect. This truly shined in games like Battlefield V. To feel the explosions and pops made the purchase worth it for me. The battery life is ok. I don't turn on the chroma lighting. Seems silly to have it since you cant see it. Razer synapse 3 can be finicky at times but the sound software does a very good job of simulating surround. The headset is very comfortable and I like the cooling gel in the ear pads. Helps during longer game time. The one con I have and this actually goes for every razer headset Ive owned. They all seem to have a "muffled" sound to them. Like when you talk with your hand over your mouth. I have minimalized this by adjusting the EQ. The presets all had this muffled sound to them. Perfect sound....no but with the Haptic feedback and almost perfect sound these are 9.7 out of 10 for me. I just threw my 2-month-old Alienware Aw988's back in the drawer which are extremely good sounding cans. I should also mention this is a review based on PC use. Have not tried them on my PS4 or Xbox one X yet.

Great headset, good sound. The rumble feature makes games more immersive. Only con is the mic quality sounds like a bit of static. Works on all current systems. Kinda a pain to use for media.

I bought this headset looking to make a big upgrade over my old $40 pair of headphones. First impressions were great though even if it did work as intended I think it is still overpriced. I used this headset for about 2 hours with my phone then set it up on my PC, installed the software and got an EQ running and started messing with the "Enhancements". The headset was great, the Haptic sensations which I thought were a gimmick actually turned out pretty nice. Though microphone however was awful, though I expected as much considering I haven't found a single wireless headset with a good Microphone that isn't marketed for professional use. The THX surround was ok, not great, not horrible. The underwater effect here can be pretty overwhelming depending which game you use it with. The positional audio was enough for me to tell where sounds roughly were but I was not impressed, especially considering Razer owns THX. I have had better surround options in headsets half the price. After about 2 weeks I started getting a ridiculous crackling in the sound almost like the speakers were blown but I never even put this headset above half volume. What was even weirder was that it was only happening when I was using it with my PC over wireless, when I used it like my $40 headphones with the 3.5mm cable everything was fine, except of course doing this eliminates all the features of the headset and it sounds like a standard $40 headset. I contacted Razer about this issue since I was out of my return window here on best buy by a few days and after a solid day of trouble shooting they just told me it was a software issue and that there was nothing they could do to resolve the issue. No RMA (Though I doubt that would even solve the issue since I'm 95% sure its their crap Synapse Software), no other support available, can't return it for a refund and I can't resell it because this is apparently a common issue and the next person is probably going to have the same problem. So here I'm, out $200 back to using my $40 headset that I bought 5 years ago at walmart. DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET at least not until they realize there is an issue and fix their software. If this headset didn't have this issue I still probably wouldn't buy at this price, if it had a better Microphone it would make a bit more sense but even then I'm still not sure I would be happy with it. TLDR: Do not buy this right now, the software makes the headset unusable and if you try and use it without the software it is comparable to a pair of $40 turtle beaches, if not worse and Razer is of 0 help in fixing things here. Current State, 1/5 Stars State Were the software doesn't kill the headset, 3/5 Stars

I've been on a hunt for a surround sound headset to match or better my Logitech G35. I settled in on these after a half dozen trial and errors with other headsets. In comparison to the G35 the sound quality is worse, bass isn't as deep, but the volume goes much higher. The vibrating earcups make up for some of the lost bass and it is a kind-of-cool feature, but I found it more distracting than anything else in games. They're big and goofy looking on my head, but comfortable nonetheless. That said, when plugged in to charge and play, there is a periodic windows disconnect chime. It sometimes did not charge while plugged in overnight (known glitch). The volume controls are just not right and will lower in one ear and not the other at times. When haptic feedback is on you'd better have push-to-talk enabled if you want to chat with gamer friends, or they'll just hear bass. The initial setup took over an hour to get surround working with the software from Razor, and it is touchy about working. I returned these after a week and a half because I did not feel I should have to deal with cheap-like problems for a premium headset. Turns out I was correct. Picked up the Steelseries Arctic Pro's. Perfect on all fronts. Less expensive, much better sound quality and bass, more than enough volume, comfortable, and simple setup. Buy those.

Picked these up on a whim since my local store had a couple in stock. I've to say I'm quite pleased with the purchase. Build quality: solid construction but these things are HUGE. If you are looking for some low profile over the hear headphones, these are far from it. It's probably the only negative thing I've to say about the headset. But there's some pretty cool tech in these cans so it's fine with me. Just expect some funny looks when wearing these puppies. My favorite part about this headset is that the wireless USB adapter is built into the headset. It's a great for portability. Comfort: While these things are big, they are also very comfortable. I'm coming from a Steelseries Siberia 800 and those things get uncomfortable quick. These headphones are comfortable for long play sessions and also have this cooling gel stuff built into the earpads. I can't say that I really noticed the effects of the cooling gel feature but what I can say is these thing don't make your ears sweat, but I've never had that problem with a headset before. Sound: Like most other premium wireless gaming headphones, these are technically stereo that use Razer's software to create 7.1 audio when gaming/watching movies etc. If anyone has ever used Razer Surround software with their stereo headphones, you'll know what to expect in terms of surround sound capabilities. In a nutshell, it works quite well. I'm not an audiophile but I know when things sound good and when they sound bad. And these things sound good. For $200, I'm happy to report that the sound quality lives up to the price. You can adjust EQ settings in the Razer Synapse app. Software: To get the most out of this headset you'll need to use the Razer Synapse 3 app on your computer. Set up was painless. After installing I simply plugged in the wireless adapter into my USB port, powered on the headset and the Razer Synapse app recognized the headset right away. From there you you can calibrate things from EQ, Bass Boost, RGB, Haptic Engine, etc. Haptic Feedback: This is the feature that drew me to this headset. It's essentially the rumble feature built into console controllers but built into the earcups on the headset. It works with any game/music/movie. You can adjust the strength of the rumble through Synapse. I blasted it straight off the bat and listened to some tunes and it really does add another dimension. The rumble comes through with bass, so things like explosions in games cause your ears to rumble which is incredibly immersive. I would not recommend having haptics on at full blast for long sessions as it gave me a headache. But simply turning the setting down a tad in Synapse solved that problem. Overall this is a great headset and well worth the money.

    Why I returned this Headset

1st off Im a huge Razer fan. Have had keyboards, mice, and even Razerblade laptop. After watching reviews online and reading about the new Hypersense tech these headphones features I HAD to try them out. All I have to say is wow. Especially in a shooter like call or duty black ops 4 online, just pulls you in and immerses you in a whole new level you didnt think was possible. Great sound quality and it feels like you have subs strapped to your head and you feel like your there. Again hard to explain but you will have to try them honestly to see for your self. Now on to why I returned them. 1st issue: Size is way to big and the tension just isnt there to keep them in place. If you lean forward they will slide off and Im sure the heavy weight has a little to do with that. Oh and I have a big head so I could understand on a small head but no reason why this should happen. 2nd issue: Wireless kept disconnecting. I have no router on my laptop and I am not using WiFi. Tried switching USB ports etc kept beeping consistently throughout my gaming session for days and this was the final reason and main reason I returned them. 1 Final Other reason is Volume this is minor but I had had other headsets where I could never max them out or get close. This one I could max out and just felt it wasnt quite loud enough. Wanted to share my thoughts & honestly would have kept this headset if not for the constant disconnects. I ended up switching out at best buy to G935 Logitech and Surround sound is best I have ever heard but this Hypersense Technology has left a huge void and hole. I am now ruined thanks razer. Hopeful down the road they will fix issues or maybe you wont have the same wireless issues I had.
