I've been on a hunt for a surround sound headset to match or better my Logitech G35. I settled in on these after a half dozen trial and errors with other headsets. In comparison to the G35 the sound quality is worse, bass isn't as deep, but the volume goes much higher. The vibrating earcups make up for some of the lost bass and it is a kind-of-cool feature, but I found it more distracting than anything else in games. They're big and goofy looking on my head, but comfortable nonetheless. That said, when plugged in to charge and play, there is a periodic windows disconnect chime. It sometimes did not charge while plugged in overnight (known glitch). The volume controls are just not right and will lower in one ear and not the other at times. When haptic feedback is on you'd better have push-to-talk enabled if you want to chat with gamer friends, or they'll just hear bass. The initial setup took over an hour to get surround working with the software from Razor, and it is touchy about working. I returned these after a week and a half because I did not feel I should have to deal with cheap-like problems for a premium headset. Turns out I was correct. Picked up the Steelseries Arctic Pro's. Perfect on all fronts. Less expensive, much better sound quality and bass, more than enough volume, comfortable, and simple setup. Buy those.

Great Audio Quality When It Works Properly

I have owned this headset for about 3 weeks now and this is my final verdict. The headset itself is sleek, stylish and very comfortable to boot with RGB customizable lighting. The audio quality is top notch when it wants to work. There are many times when my experience with the audio quality varies greatly depending on the day and what I am doing. Sometimes it will be crystal clear and other times there is noticeable crackling or distortion while listening to music or gaming. Razer Synapse, the program you use to manage all of Razer's devices and features, has a lot of functionality but is very buggy. The last gripe I have with the headset is they microphone is of very cheap quality, you can see they put most of their time into the audio quality, which still wildly varies and isn't consistent. Also things like mic feedback are volume dependant so that means to hear myself I must have the volume so loud that it hurts which is just backwards thinking. Especially since they recommend leaving all programs on 100% volume and using the headset as master volume, which you can't do since you will blow out your eardrums. I love the headset when it works but I cannot recommend it based on price for the overal quality you get.

I bought these for my ps4 at first they are awesome! The bass was sick and loudness of then was great. They are comfortable But at times it does get hot. The reason I have it 3 stars it’s because you can’t customize the setting on it when using it for the ps4. There was no adjustment for chat and game mix. By default it kept a balance for me without me adjusting it. If you a pc player this are great but for a ps4 there just good with a sick bass.

neat concept with the hyptic feedback. But these are large and loose. My 10 yr old daughter and I both agreed the hyper x cloud flight i use was way more comfortable. She will be returning these for the same hyper x. I have a average adult head and these slide all around.
