Customers regard the Nommo V2 speakers highly for their sound quality and deep, punchy bass. The customizable RGB lighting is also a popular feature that enhances the overall experience. However, some customers feel that the speakers are large and a bit expensive for what they offer.

Returned the next day, didn’t sound much better than the built in speakers on my monitor. Razer app was awful to try to use but did allow for good customization between light adjustments and equalizer. You could toggle off the lights altogether which was nice. Only part I really liked about it was the subwoofer, had a super powerful, floor rumbling growl to it, but could be annoying to roommates or neighbors. I ended up buying the creative pebble for much cheaper and honestly I’ve liked the sound a bit better

Bought these to replace the set of 2.1 speakers I've had for 10 years. Sadly, after much use the subwoofer blew. I wanted replacement speakers ASAP and a replacement for what I had would take days. SO off to Best Buy.
Based on reviews (here and elsewhere) I bought these.
It's obvious that everyone who ever left a review doesn't actually know what "good" sounds like, or they are shills for Razer spouting company sponsored bullcrap.
In fairness, part of why I bought them was because I have Razer devices (keyboard, mousepad, mouse). Figured I'd give them a shot. They connected to my Razer Synapse software, pulled in a firmware update, and settled in. I could control LED color, volume, bass, etc., from Synapse, which is a plus (and the only reason for 2 stars).
Sadly, they reached a volume less than half what my previous speakers achieved (100% windows volume slider, since they are USB speakers there is no external volume knob), and that was awful. Bass was thin and buzzy, treble and mids were ok but nothing to write home about.
If you don't mind soft weak sound so you can have "gamer" LED interconnection, maybe these speakers are for you. For me, I prefer solid sound.
3 minutes after I listened to a video, I bought a replacement of my old speakers. When they arrive, these are going back. Seriously, these things at $300 are just a pale shadow of what I bought for $120.
Don't waste your money.

Out of the 20 months I've owned these. I have reported multiple sound quality issues with this device. From April 2024 through September 2024. The sound quality in games was good. Fast forward and they took away game profiles. The only way to get quality from these speakers is the paid version Razer THX Spatial Audio app. Even that's wrong as you lose sub control. They have not taken the feedback on how to fix this. Do not buy Razer speakers!

Fantastic Sound, Set Up a Chore

The audio out of these speakers in fantastic. I have been on the lookout for a 2.1 gaming speaker set up that sounds good turned up, but also sounds great and is still audible at lower volumes for when I'm gaming late night, my family is asleep, and I don't feel like wearing headphones. So far this system fits the bill. The sound is awesome and these fellas get plenty loud without any distortion. From music to movies and most importantly games, the sound does not disappoint and the bass is deep and rich. At lower volumes the clarity is not lost either so I can hear all the cheesy and lame one liners from my latest RPG adventure. Also, the lighting on my white walls at night is exactly what I was hoping for. The lights are bright and change based on the music or game sounds.
I had a few issues getting them setup. They connected via Bluetooth immediately but then I decided I wanted to try customization for the RGB. I plugged them in via USB-C and downloaded the Synapse software. This is where things went bad. The speakers would not connect in the Synapse software via USB-C. So I updated my PC, driver, and the firmware for the speakers and then they would not work via USB-C or Bluetooth. So I started a chat with customer support online. They were available and quick to respond, but started throwing out seemingly random solutions without giving me any time to try anything they were suggesting. Anyway none of those worked and I got disconnected when restarting my PC. Turns out that the issue (that I discovered) was the speakers were disabled deep in my PC sound options, so customer support didn't really help at all.
Despite the set up issues and the fact that the speakers themselves look like the hoppy pixar lamp, I am really enjoying the system and would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their PC sound.

I bought it and thought that it will be easy to get it to work. Realized after a day that the sound system keeps turning off by itself very often. It was a hassle to return it so I just kept it. Not very good and its doesn't connect to the razer app which makes it like a paperweight. Disappointed in this system.

Razer Nommo V2 Full Range 2.1PC Gaming Spkrs & Sub

So after a big mixup with the warehouse, I finally received my Razer Nommo V2 Full Range 2.1 PC Gaming Speakers a few days ago and have been putting the system through its paces. First off, very nice packaging from Razer. The speakers, subwoofer, and all cables come packaged nicely together. Also included is the User Documentation. Setting up the speaker system is fairly easy. I love how Razer included the setup step by step process on the lip of the box everything is packed in but they also go through that in the instruction manual as well. My only gripe is the booklet is small and black with silver writing. Might be hard on the eyes for some would-be buyers. Moving along, setup is really easy. Just simply setup the 2 desktop speakers on your desk and place the subwoofer on the floor under your desk. Take the corresponding VGA cable connects on the back of each speaker and connect them to the back of the subwoofer. If you had a PC from the 80s or 90s then you’ll remember connecting the monitor/PC together with those old style VGA cables. Add the power cable (they also included regional power cables as well - big kudos to that, and it’ll be nice to see other manufacturers follow suit) and the USB-A to USB-C cable to the back of the subwoofer and your PC and you’re ready to go. You can also download the Synapse software from Razer’s website to further tweak the speaker setup to your liking. But beware, it seems to be quite buggy and at times seems to stop working all together unless you restart the program or your PC. Sometimes is disconnects from your PC and your have to manually reconnect it. That can be annoying. Once I got everything loaded up I loaded up a game and I was immensely blown away with the sound quality. It was amazing. Everything was crystal clear and it was almost like I was actually in the video game. I could hear like footsteps walking up behind me in the game. Very nice. Now, Razer states that this can also connected to your Playstation or your Nintendo Switch. I’ve only tested this so far on my ASUS ROG Strix desktop. Will be trying it on my Nintendo Switch next. So all in all I really do love this Razer Gaming Speaker set, I just hope they can get the quirks ironed out as far as the Synapse software. Now they don’t specify this anywhere in their documentation but it also works on macOS. I connected it to my Mac mini and it works well as long as you’re watching something that has audio playing. After a few minutes of no sound it turns off automatically as well at which time you have to manually turn it back on. If you can deal with the few quirks of the Synapse software then this is a good system.

These speakers provide room filling sound from a small package. Setup is super easy and connects via Bluetooth to you either your PC or gaming console. I tried them first with my gaming laptop and they paired with no issue. The subwoofer is completely wireless which makes it easy to place without having to be near the other speakers. The lighting is an added bonus and looks very cool while gaming. Keep in mind that the lights can be a little bright so keep this in mind when placing near your monitor or TV. I also connected with no issue to my PlayStation 5 via Bluetooth and games such as Call of Duty sound excellent and the explosions sound so real. I was originally using a soundbar and I like the sound and looks of these much better. The speakers can be adjusted to direct the sound where you like, and they are smaller enough to fit almost anywhere. There is an optional hub that can be purchased as well to control, but I had no problem using with the current setup. I like the fact that there is minimal cord clutter which makes it much easier to fit any setup.

As someone who is a bit hearing impaired I do wear hearing aids. So I don't quite have the normal hearing most folks do, but my hearing, aided with my devices, does provide a very good experience and so, since having got my hearing aids I have tried to find some better sound than my current setup, which is the Soundblaster X Katana Pro sound bar. While this set is not a full step up to the 5.1, or even 7.1, setup that some gamers use, it's a clear step up from a soundbar.
I've never really been a huge Razer fan, but I've also not ever held their name against them. Companies like Razer have their serious detractors, many with some valid complaints, but I think that most people just don't like them because most gamers use them, ie the popularity sink that makes people dislike a product. I can tell you that the Razer products I own, including the Wolverine v2 Chroma Pro controller, my Razer mice use in the past and several other peripherals, have all worked wonderfully for me.
This product arrives in a really decent sized box, bigger than I thought, but everything inside is very clearly marked and each piece is packaged with obvious care and a premium impression, ala the Apple experience, is one that you get when you first open it all up. It's neatly sectioned into modules, with very basic, but informative and explanative pictures, included, as well as instructions to get it up and going. Plug this into that, ensure that has batteries (the hockey puck, note it comes with batteries so no battery search panic) and lo and behold, it is up and running and working great.
Testing it first with music the volume is certainly there, and the stereo separation, is truly amazing, even without THX enabled. In order to use the THX and those Razer effects you must run Razer Synapse and so that may be an issue for many. I cannot run it as I use Banana for streaming but I've been able to replicate the sound changes just using the banana equalizer. You can also just use the Windows panel to make adjustments as well. The lights ont he back are really cool but more or less provide ambience that is cool, it is not going to blow your mind. The music sound, anchored by Rob Zombie, 2Pac and several other types, all sounded fantastic, the best I've ever heard from any PC speakers.
Going into Call of Duty, Forza, Diablo 4 and other games and you really can experience just how truly amazing this set is. With an easy setup, quality parts, a premium experience, and fantastic audio, Razer has built themselves another winner. And if you're a gamer, or just someone who loves great sound, you really should check out the Razer Nommo series. A clear winner in my book.

Powerful PC speakers pack quite a punch

The Razer Nommo V2 gaming speakers may not be the cheapest audio solution for a gaming PC, but they certainly sound fantastic. In terms of audio quality, I can't think of any speaker system designed for this purpose that I've ever heard that would outdo them. That said, they aren't necessarily for everyone and do require a fair amount of space.
The speaker system is a 2.1 system with two satellite speakers (3" full range) and a wired, downward firing 5.5" subwoofer. The two satellite speakers sit on stands at a fixed angle, so you cannot adjust them. They're fairly hefty as well, so you'll need some clear desk space. Setting them up with a 32" monitor required careful placement so they didn't block the screen on my desk. The subwoofer is large solid cube that also contains the power and connection ports: both satellites connect, with fixed length cabling, to the sub, which in turn connects to the PC via a USB cable. The right satellite is the control unit with power. So out of the box, you're up and running fairly quickly. Bluetooth connectivity is also an option as an alternative to wired.
The system can be controlled via the Razer Synapse app (you may need to update the app first though). In the app, there are quite a lot off control options available: a variety of EQ presets, the THX Spatial audio settings, specific game audio profiles, lighting (for the RGB Chroma lighting that projects from the rear of the satellite speakers), and power saving settings.
The sound quality is very impressive, with a very full and robust sound. I felt that it really added to the sense of immersion, which is of course what you want from a speaker set aimed at gaming. But I also found it equally adept at music and movies too, doing well with my go-to subwoofer test of the tripod emergence scene from War of the Worlds. Games, especially FPS ones like Doom Eternal, especially benefited and helped draw you in.
Overall, if you have the space for these (as they are pretty big for PC speakers) and the budget, these are really just fantastic speakers. They look and feel premium in their build and the sound quality matches that look. Especially if you are invested in the Razer ecosystem, these are great, but even if you aren't, they are definitely worth checking out. They have a few drawbacks like the size, fixed stands and cable lengths, but these are minor concerns when the rest of the package is so compelling and sounds so good. Highly recommended.

I’ve been using headsets for sometime now as I can turn the volume up without effecting others and noise cancellation makes me feel like I’m in my own world…but I’ve been gaming for a while. Back before head sets became as full featured as they are, you had to have a good set of gaming speakers. The Razer - Nommo V2 speakers bring it in the audio quality, yet they still don’t solve some of the issues that I’m sure have turned more than just me away from speakers.
To start, set up was super easy. The speakers connect via USB. I already had the Razer software on my computer so I was ready to go, for anyone else it’s a quick download, then you’re good.
In regard to sound the speaker are amazing. I’m heavy on shooters, using the speaker as opposed to my headset I don’t feel like I’m missing much in regard to directional sound. Music hits much harder than Ive ever experienced with a gaming headset. The RGB will light up a dark room, adding to the overall vibes.
On the downside, you’re gonna face the same issue you’re gonna face with any speakers, space. If you have dedicated space for your rig, you should be fine, but it’s something else that has to be factored in. It can be worked out, but it limits flexibility.
If you’re in the market for gaming speakers I’d recommend these with no hesitation, but understand like any speakers, space is required and flexibility is limited.

My home "office"/gaming room isn't that big, but that having been said, I LOVE a BIG sound even though the room is small. These speakers give me just that without rattling the fillings out of my teeth, giving a fantastic dynamic range of highs and lows without taking up too much space, which comes at a premium these days.
There is an option (which costs more) to have the subwoofer wireless, but being that everything is fairly close together with my desk, I didn't need to go that route.
I mostly play FPS games, as well as a lot of music when I am not gaming - everything sounds fantastic, while gaming I feel the thump of explosions in my chest, and while listening to music I get a very lifelike experience with it sounding like the band is here in the room with me.
The subwoofer really does this setup justice and makes it shine. It produces a great low as well as a hard hitting thump - I really couldn't ask for me, especially (again) with the limited space that I have in my computer room. Razer did it, and did it RIGHT!

After having some time to test the Razer Nommo V2 Full-Range 2.1 PC Gaming Speakers I have plenty to go off of regarding testing benchmarks that I conducted.
First off, to start the frequency response is impressive. 40hz to 20kHz is a pretty wide range for a small speaker of this magnitude. Granted the subwoofer certainly helps the range avoiding falloff in the lows. The depth of sound is clear when you first start listening to music carefully on these speakers. You'll hear parts of music you may not have noticed before with speakers that cannot get to these low ranges. The highs are easy. Lows are hard. There was certainly a deeper feel of immersion in the speakers when utilizing the THX Spatial audio. They do an impressive job with the virtual 7.1 surround considering the small form factor of these speakers. Don't expect a true 7.1 surround experience as you would with a true home theater experience but you can expect it to help you especially if you are into games that require spatial sound, such as COD or Overwatch. The bass quality is pretty solid for the unit and nothing to complain about with a down-firing sub that makes your feet rumble. Use caution if people live below you and you like bass though. It will be heard from the floor below.
The price point is spot on for a product of this caliber and bravo to Razer for releasing such a quality audio product as that is not their bread and butter
