I'm a huge fan of Razer gear, so I was excited when I got the opportunity to test out the new Nomma V2 Pro speakers.
I am a bit of an audiophile as well, and I tend to be deeply critical of speakers. I was happy to see the Nomma V2 Pro speakers have a THX certification, which even at the bare minimum, means these speakers pack a punch and clarity above your typical run of the mill speakers.
Setup was easy. Plug the left speaker into the right speaker, then plug the right speaker into a USB port on the PC. This is nice because it does not require your PC to have a 3.5mm output. This is especially good for laptops that may not come with a 3.5mm jack anymore. This make Razers offering very compatible with a wide range of even the most modern of PC/laptop setups. My particular model came with the wireless subwoofer, so no connection from the speakers to the subwoofer was needed. This offers flexibility in subwoofer placement, much further than if the subwoofer was wired. Both the speakers and subwoofer need to be plugged into power.
I was surprised how large the speakers were. The subwoofer was very small and compact in comparison. The speakers have a 3" full-range driver with aluminum phase plugs. They measure 5.1” (w) x 7.2” (H) x 7.1” (D). The entire package appears to be of excellent build quality.
There is also an included puck which turns on and off the speakers as well as controls the volume level. This connects automatically via wireless just like the subwoofer. I found both the subwoofer and puck to be seamless and I have no issues with them connecting to the speakers by simply turning both peripherals on.
I installed the latest Synapse, which, I already had installed. It ran an update and downloaded the Nomma V2 Pro drivers. I selected "THX Spatial Audio" as my default profile and left everything else on the defaults initially.
Sound is superb. The frequency response from the speakers is between 40hz and 20hz. The speakers are capable of hitting very sharp highs as well as very clear and defined mids. The speakers are punchy, but not harsh. There is no reverb and they produce even the most moderate of sounds very clear. Despite being 2 channel, they offer a solid spatial affect and things sound immersive and distant when applicable. The subwoofer produces deep boom and I ended up setting it to a 3 out of 7.
The lighting affect is very nice and offers even more emersion to games. Synapse was easy to select the color scheme I wanted along with the brightness. I found a warm orange to be my preferred color and it mostly emulates that of a warm light bulb.
The puck confused me at first, but once I understood it, I found it to be excellent. Long pressing both turns the puck on or off. You can also pair these speakers to multiple sources via Bluetooth and switch the sources using the puck.
The puck has a rubber bottom which allows it to stick to the desk without moving. I have multiple ways to control volume (my keyboard, windows, or the puck) and I prefer the simplicity and convenience of the puck out of all the options.
Synapse also has profiles so you can select different sound settings based on the game itself. I found this necessary as not all games support the spatial audio correctly, and stereo fixed issues with no sound on some games (like Division 2).
Overall I am very happy with these speakers and they are my new favorite dedicated PC speaker model. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone already in the Razer family as the integration with a single app is awesome. Anyone looking for speakers even outside of Razer should definitely consider these. They sound amazing and are very simple to setup and use. Razer knocked it out of the park and I am grateful for the team to allow me the pleasure of reviewing these.

The Razer Nommo V2 Pro-Full-Range 2.1 PC Gaming Speakers with Subwoofer are definitely a step above your ordinary computer speakers and are on the upper end for gaming speakers despite only having two full-range speakers. These speakers get really loud and the Bass is very impressive for a computer gaming speaker system. I only turned it up a little over halfway and I was getting plenty of sound and a lot of hard-hitting Bass that really brings games to life. I really like these speakers and I appreciate the wireless aspects of them and the quality build of them. I will have to warn you though. The full-range speakers are very large and do not pivot. You are stuck with the angle that they are mounted at on their stands. There is no optional mounting either like for on a wall or to the side of your screen. The cord connecting the full-range speakers is also too short if you have three large screens and want to put the speakers on the outside of them. I can get an extension but they should have made it longer for sure.I feel like the software could be better as well. It could be more intuitive and user-friendly. I would still recommend these speakers to someone looking for gaming speakers. They work fine without the software and most people do not have three 27” screens. They are high-quality good sounding speakers for sure!

Great sound but some issues

Great speakers but various annoying issues before I got them working. For me to get into PC mode you have to press the power button twice to activate Bluetooth, but I should have read that so that on me.
I love the looks of these speakers and the sound is fantastic, plenty loud enough regardless of what others say.
The lost of a star is because the the speakers go into standby mode if you're not playing audio. So if I leave my PC I have to turn them back on. I can't find any standby mode to turn off like other Razer speakers that have the option. I asked customer support if there was an option to turn off this power saving mode but they useless in the replies. They could not even tell me how long of time for it to go off.
I love these speakers are nice once you get over the issues. My other issue is the updates that were required were not being told to me by the software and I again had to research,on my,own on how to update as again customer support was non existent. I really should take off a half star for the poor customer support but omg these speakers sound so good.

Easy to setup, pretty much plug and play for my PC. I also noticed that this setup also works with the PS5 and the Switch, that's good to know in case I want to change things up. I didn't see any support for my Xbox though.
The fact that these speakers are wireless elminates a lot of wire clutter.
The sound quality is amazing, especially the bass that comes from the sub-woofer.
I like that there are presets and an equalizer so I can adjust based on my needs.
There is also lighting on the directional speakers, but I turned them off after awhile. I will use the lights based on the mood I'm in.
Makes your gaming experience much more intense (this is a good thing).
I also watched football and some tv shows on my PC and the sound quality was great.
My only wish is that there should be a headphone jack somewhere. Sometimes I have to be considerate of others and keep the noise down.
I'm very happy with this speaker setup, it is almost as good as my high-end soundbar setup for my tv.

RGB seems to be on everything these days. This could be good or bad. Using the speakers on each side of the monitor you can use the lighting to add to a back lighting effect behind the monitor. If I need to be stealth at night you can turn off the lighting effects with the Razer Synapse software. Additionally you can change lighting effects (rainbow, breathing, audio spectrum, etc. If you are already in the Razer ecosystem then you’ll feel right at home with the Synapse software. Synapse recognizes all Razer products with default settings which can be changed at any time. The Nommo is no different. It was instantly recognized and updated Synapse for the required module.
The 2.1 sound is extremely good with clear highs and lows and the base through the subwoofer is punchy without distortion. The sub isn’t too big and fits nicely under my desk and still leaves me plenty of leg room. The 2 table top speakers are uniquely cylinder shaped and are rigid on a pedestal stand. I think they missed the boat not having some sort of articulation on these but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
Setup was really easy… power cable to the wireless subwoofer… almost wireless… still needs power. A second power cable to the right speaker along with the umbilical to the left speaker and the USB cable to connect to the computer. You need to pair the subwoofer with the other speakers but the software walks you through that procedure. You also have the capability of Bluetooth connectivity and you can switch easily between PC mode and Bluetooth mode by touching the button the front of the control puck. Speaking of the control puck… it’s one of my favorite things about the Nommo 4 piece speaker set. Because it isn’t tethered with a cable it’s easy to relocate wherever you like without tangling. The rubber base holds it in place and under normal operation and force it will not move when operating the features. Hold down to turn on, and the LEDs on the speakers will light up (brightness is controllable via Synapse). Volume control is what you would expect, simply turn the top half. A single press on top will be your mute/unmute control. Do a double press gets you play and pause and three taps skips the track. Pretty simple.
Synapse software adds features such as LED effects, bass levels, you can set the toggle between speakers or headphones or Bluetooth. You can add THX spatial audio, chose a preset equalizer setting or make a custom one to your taste. And as I mentioned previously the RGB LEDs can be controlled with the Synapse as well, selecting between presets or creating your own effect using Chroma Studio module.
The $400 price tag is a bit steep in my opinion. There are other offerings out there for cheaper but may not have all of the features that the Nommo has. If you are already invested in the Razer ecosystem and you like RGB, good features and a great sound then writing the check (or tapping your debit/credit card) may not be such a bad deal.
Only taking 1 star away due to price and yes I would recommend to friends considering the previous paragraph.

One of the best Razer Nommo speaker products I have ever had. The sound quality is good but the setup is not easy.

I bought one of these directly from Razer a few months back and liked it so much I bought another. Best Buys had it a bit cheaper so here I am.
