Customers praise the Ornata Wired Gaming Mecha-membrane Keyboard for its reasonable price, comfortable design, and clicky keys that enhance typing speed. The wrist rest is also highly regarded for its comfort, while the lighting is appreciated for its functionality in various lighting conditions. However, some users have expressed concerns about the loudness of the keys.

This keyboard is a steal for $40. The membrane gives a mechanical feel yet is surprisingly quiet and very responsive. Would recommend to anyone who is looking to buy this. I’d buy it for full price too!

Amazing Keyboard But A Bit Noisy To Use

When I was buying this keyboard, I knew what I was going to be getting myself into. I had watched YouTube videos to see how loud the keyboard really was, and I knew that it would be loud. After opening and using the keyboard for a while, you still always notice the noise. The feel of pressing down each key is spectacular. While pressing a key, there is a nice feeling when you fully press the key to let you know that you hit the key properly. The lighting on the keyboard is really nice as well. Using the Razer Synapse software after plugging in this keyboard, there are a lot of options for how you want the lights to show up. When buying, make sure that you are aware that this is the green light only keyboard and not the Chroma variant. With my desk setup, I am not able to effectively use the wrist wrest because it hangs over the edge of my desk if I want to use the keyboard comfortably, but just using it on a table in my kitchen, the wrist wrest feels nice and has a nice squish to it. Overall amazing keyboard for typing on and gaming in my experience, but the keys are a bit loud but feel great. The wrist wrest adds a few extra inches, so make sure that you have the space to use it, but using the keyboard without the wrest still feels great.

Very Good on Sale

I bought this keyboard when it was on sale for about $40, and it has been very good so far. The keys are responsive, with a slight mechanical/clicking sound each time they're pressed. Though the backlighting is only available in green, there are several cool settings you can put it on. This feels like a great middle ground between a standard keyboard and the more expensive, full mechanical keyboards. The wrist rest is large and stays in place, great for long sessions of gaming.

I got this keyboard on sale for $40, it comes with a nice, very premium feeling, wrist rest. The keys are not true mechanical but they are a combination of membrane and mechanical, they make a signature clicking noise in the middle of every keystroke, that was kind of hard to get use to at first but overall it is a great gaming keyboard.

Great for PC / OK for Mac

Bought this to use for gaming on an iMac, it works fine keyboard wise, no issues in regular function, keys all work, etc
The only issue is running the Razor program that allows you to change settings, bind keys and change RGB settings. That program claims to be useable on Mac however it really isn’t great. Any settings you put in work only until you shut down the computer. The next time you log in the settings are reset to factory
Be aware of this. The keyboard itself works great on a Mac, their software however has bugs.
After doing a ton of research I’ve found out SteelSeries branded keyboards and software work on Macs flawlessly so I purchased on of these and it’s perfect

The keyboard is solid, responsive, key lighting is great and can be adjusted to suit the user, keys are fast and have a solid response. The wrist rest is magnetic so it attaches to the keyboard solidly. using the keyboard for gaming the speed and response is the best I have seen and is a definite step above overs costing 4 times more. For a casual user this board is a dream, At the price you would be well advised to buy one.

Good quality mechanical keyboard not a ton of frills but just enough extras to make the sale price a great deal for this keyboard. If you want to send more for more colors get the chroma. Soft keys, game mode for anti ghosting, small form factor, comes with wrist pad, good solid build quality.

If you're not looking for a gaming keyboard that you intend to customize, this is a great entry-to-mid-level keyboard. Great tactile feedback, solid quality keycaps, lighting is great too. You might want to go with the Chroma edition if you want more color options, but if you don't care much then this will work perfectly for most people. Was a great deal on sale, I think I paid $30-40 for this.

This is a great gaming keyboard.. very responsive and mechanical feel BUT quiet because of the membrane. I didn’t like all the glowing lights the chroma models had.. just wanted a simple inexpensive keyboard.. feels great to type on with my MacBook Pro and my PC as I switch between the 2 platforms.

It's a nice keyboard. I don't really see the need for it if you prefer mechanical other than for the shorter keys. It has a nice feel and fits a particular niche - mechanical sound with a mostly membrane action, kind of like a training wheels keyboard on your way to full mechanical. The lighting effects are nice but the Chroma version will obviously give you many more color choices.

Ive been using Razer products for years, and must say this keyboard is so much nicer. I love the low profile keys, the clicking is minimal, the lighting effect is a little fun bonus, and the wrist rest is very comfy. Very customizable with Razer software Synapse, and has been working great.

Good keyboard but too loud for homework

I bought this keyboard and it was really nice, but I had to exchange it the same day. My home office is pretty small and the loud click that the mecha-membrane switches make were too much for me. I wrote 2 pages of a paper for grad school and had enough. The feel of the switches was great. I traded for a Black Widow Chroma with orange switches (silent and tactile)
