Great Capture Card, But Has Some Audio Issues.

Overall I really love this capture card. It does have some issues which I would like to address. Audio --------- -When you first get the capture card and set it up on your streaming/recording software (I use OBS) you may not notice the audio going through to the computer. You have to literally make another track to be able to have the audio running. -The audio track for the capture device is VERY LOW. So you will have to increase the decibels in your streaming/recording software. -If using the headphone and microphone ports up front you may notice that the audio sound is really LOW for the gameplay. You will have to use the Razer Synapse App on your PC to adjust the sound mixing for the capture device through your headphone jack on the front. - Sound syncing in the streaming/editing software is fantastic. I was previously using an HDPVR 2 that I've owned for many years which had a 5 second delay from my console to the PC. This capture card completely fixes that issue. - Honestly I would recommend using an external microphone plugged into your PC for commentary. The port on the front is great if you want to hear your game audio while streaming and with the sound being lower and not too much adjustable I found it not distracting while recording/streaming. Video --------- -Video quality is wonderful! I don't game on a 4K monitor as I have 1080p screens, but it captures 1080p60fps and displays up to 4K60fps with its passthrough technology. - The Razer Ripsaw HD Capture Card is compatible with pretty much every HDMI compatible game console. I'm currently using it for my PS5 and it works perfectly with it! Make sure you turn off the HDCP in your console settings before using the device or you'll get nothing on your screen! -Make sure you use the USB C -> USB A Cable included with the device. I tried using a USB C -> USB C and while it worked, I ran into glitchy graphics as it wasn't powerful enough to fully support the device. I was hoping this would originally work for me as I have used most of the USB Ports on my PC, but I guess I'll just have to invest in a USB Hub of some sort. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This capture card has been a big upgrade for me as it takes less desk space than my HDPVR 2, it's easier to setup, and it matches with my Razer gaming setup. There are many reviews bashing it for the audio issues. Honestly they're not too much of an issue for me as I've learned how to work around them. I wished that the sound mixing on the front of the device would be more customizable. If the sound were to be a bit better I would honestly give this capture card a full 5/5. If you're new to streaming/recording content I would highly recommend this. It's a great capture card to start with. I hope my tips on here helped you if you run into any issues setting it up. Looking forward to making more content with this device!

I'd give it zero stars if I could. Absolutely refuses to work once the HDMI connection to the TV was plugged in. Barring that, it showed up in streamlabs just fine, but obviously not an ideal way to play the game you're trying to stream. I saw so many people having issues with these in a few Google searches that I'm even surprised they're still trying to shill them out. Razer support drug me along for several days while jumping through hoops before telling me to send it back because it was new. I'll be looking into getting something else that actually works.

Third Time the Charm! Avoid. Defective 3 units!

Useless Device. This is the third one I bought and they all have the same issue. I am done. So I bought my first Ripsaw HD used from a different place and the Stream Quality is really great! one of the best looking capture cards I've seen. But the problem is that it has loud Hissing and Buzzing sound like White Static noise and its pretty loud. No matter what cable you use what settings you use on StreamLabs they all have the very loud static noise when there is no sound playing like in Spiderman on PS5 on the Pause Menu you can really hear it. So I returned the first one that was used and got a replacement but the replacement had the same exact issue with sound also the gameplay on Stream Freezes every few minutes or so for a couple of seconds. Thing is the Stream Quality looks so good I decided to buy it new from BestBuy and give it another try. Third time was the charm! the same exact problems from the last 2 units happens with the Brand New one. So at this point I am just going to return it and get an Avermedia capture card. My Rig is 9700k 1080ti 16GB of RAM my internet speed is 60 up and 400 down (600 short from 1 gig) I stream my PS5 to Twitch and Youtube and had the same exact issue, nothing I tried fixed it. Both issues are known issues on online Forums. You can try it but I would avoid it. Too bad because Stream Quality is the best I've seen for 1080p 60FPS

Does what it says it does. Easy. A little confusing to use in Streamlabs/OBS. Has two outputs. Ripsaw HD and Ripsaw HDMI. One is video, the other is audio.

The only downside to this product is that it requires a secondary program to capture what's being put through, so it's a good capture card for starting streamers. Sound capture can be a little weird to get used too when setting up software so make sure to read the guides if you are not getting sound! Great quality though and it fits almost anywhere due to its design. :)

Easy to use, plug and play, BUT make sure your pc or whatever you’re using can handle it and streaming first, I essentially have a paper weight now until I can rebuild my pc because it started recognizing the ripsaw as a webcam we and won’t let me run my Actual webcam and the ripsaw(webcam) at the same time..

Overall it does as intended, 1080p 60fps, low latency. It's really easy to use, just plug and play and as a plus, its cheaper than another certain name brand capture card.... and as someone whos used both I havent noticed any degradation in quality.

I personally got a defective product and I had to return it. The screen on on obs had like a pink filter all blacks were pink so I had to return. Beside that there was little to no latency and the build/cable quality was amazing. Personality would recommend if you don't get any issues with it color range since besides that it's a really good product

I bought it and set it up with Streamlabs OBS and the video quality was great with no lag. The only thing was that it captured no audio even when i switched my output audio to the capture card. I fiddled around with every setting imaginable and nothing seemed to capture the game or voice/party audio. I gave up and streamed my xbox one to my pc to get the game audio and used xbox game bar app on pc to get my party audio, used my headset for pc to hear, and my capture card to record the video at 720p. If you'd ask me if I recommend it, I'd say just stream it on high quality to PC and window capture with your recording software. Won't be 4k, but it'll save you from buying this and the trouble it takes to get what you want from it. (Yes I plugged my headset with a splitter on the capture card, no it didn't do anything either.

good if you really need it, if you can avoid it then do that. You'll spend more time diagnosing issues than capturing but when that's your only option its alright.

I had to update my TV it was 10 years old. But this is a great capture card and a welcomed upgrade from my aver which was still a great product. But this is a crisp well running capture that I use for streaming off my PS4. I use an external mic so not sure about the audio port quality.

Very finnicky when it came to actually viewing or streaming the video. OBS and other applications had a tremendous amount of trouble capturing the audio from this card. I'd say, with proper "How-To" documentation, this would be an excellent product, but it simply lacks that. Better to go with something from another company that comes with simple-use software.

Using this to stream my DSLR (lumix g7) to my computer and so far it's worked great, there is little to no latency/lag and it doesnt take up a lot of real estate on my desk, well worth it if you're looking to start livestreaming/recording game footage

I'd love to give this a better review, it's an amazing piece of hardware. No delay between console and PC, and everything looks glorious. However, I will be returning this due to the fact that it does not have audio output from the capture device to the display my game is running on. In order to hear sound, I have to either plug a 3.5mm headphone set into the box, or have it coming out of my PC. Very unfortunate.
