Not worth the hassle..google the issues with Mac and how they are not supporting Mac users in upcoming software upgrades. I purchased to stream my Xbox to a Macbook Pro.. Elgato HD60+ was plug and play. Easy peezy lemon squeezy.

Definitely not as easy to use as directed and has underlying instructions that took me forever to find (was not included nor advised by razer officials). Will update if I ever figure the thing out

Item flickers and distorts image on OBS. When you go to a very colorful scene that is when the distortion begins. Truly tragic because it was priced well. I returned it to try the elgato 60s+. Hopefully that works better

My parents have used this more than I have

I did buy this with intent to try doing some game streaming, however I've yet to do that. So far it has only been used for the secondary purpose as to why I bought this. That was so I could help my parents digitize their VHS home movies. That did involve a clunky setup, because their DVD/VHS combo requires HDCP over HDMI which this does not support. That problem was simple enough to solve with a Composite to HDMI cable to get the video out over RCA. After getting the cable, I installed OBS on my parents computer and got them a NAS drive to store all these home videos.
After that it was just a matter of "watching" all the tapes. Seems how I live halfway across the country I did have to leave the Ripsaw with them to record the bulk of the videos themselves. After OBS was setup, it was trivial for my dad to do this process on his own. I showed him how to get the length of video on the tapes by fast forwarding tapes to the end and resetting the counter to know how long to set a timer to know when to go back to the computer to end the recording. Then I showed him how to rename the video files and how to move them to the NAS. I know I could have had OBS record directly to the NAS, but they have an old, underpowered PC that could barely handle just recording, so I didn't want to tax the system any more than it had to be. It's not like it was too complicated to move the recordings, so I'm sure that was the best way to handle that problem.
It took them about 6 months to get though all the tapes, because they didn't exactly rush through recording them. Nonetheless, I have this now and I'm certain this will work just fine on the system I built a few years ago and it will work as well for me as it did for my parents.
In hind sight, I probably should have taken the composite to HDMI cable from them when I visited them so I could stream older systems seems how they have no use for the cable anymore. Of course, most of my old systems are still at their house, so it's not like I have much use for the cable right now either. I do have my Wii at my house, but I have enough on my Xbox One and Playstation 4 that I think I have enough I can stream until the next time I go see them.

Unfortunately in my case, the capture card worked when I connected it but after about 5 minutes the video froze.
I disconnected the capture card from the PC and had to restart the PC to make it work.

I have yet to see the full potential in this card but I think it will be a great first capture card to start with and have for a long while with the videos I've captured so far. Great product
