This is a great controller for PC gaming. I love the dualshock 2 style dome cap, but I wish they gave you two of them. The button, triggers and sticks are all fantastic. The Dpad feels a little fragile, but the inputs are otherwise good. The software is a little barebones but it does what it needs to do. A lot better value than an Elite Series 2, that's for sure.

To start off, I've been looking for a solid alternative to the standard Xbox controller, but without the issues or problems that they start developing over time. I've used other competitor brands, but there is always some sort of drawback in terms of layout or software compatibility. For example, one of them is shaped like a PS5 controller and it tends to throw me off in terms of general aiming mechanics and comfort. My hand also didn't curve around well to the back buttons, which felt very awkward to press or tap on said competitor option. I'm happy to report that the Wolverine V3 is absolutely AWESOME as far as shape and ergonomics go. Is it 100% perfect? Not subjectively, but it's likely the closest thing to a real Xbox controller. If anything, I wish the mold was around 2-5% bigger. That might not seem like a big change, but that would put it more in line with my general preferences for subjective hand egro. PROS: -TMR sticks have been solid and feel really good. No real drift as tested in Razer app or 3rd party software. I think these are objectively better than the previous gen having hall effect (which did have some issues). - Good shape subjectively. Wish it was slightly bigger, but it's the closet feel to an official Xbox controller for me. -Does 8K polling, but I would argue this doesn't have much benefit for physical press delay. More so for the TMR sticks, which do feel subjectively good. This controller defaults on 1K as per Razer software. -The software is very straight forward and subjectively superior to alternative brands I've used. Less time wasted configuring setup and more game play. Seems to detect Microsoft xinput WITHOUT software configuration.. which I'm VERY happy about. -4 Profile configuration options in software. -Despite feeling light, it's well built. Travel on buttons is perfect for me.. I've tried other controllers with minimal travel spec, and they feel awkward. This is closer to a regular Xbox controller, but mechanical. -Comes with thumb stick extensions, but I personally do not use those. CONS: -I've had a random disconnect issue when PC goes into sleep mode and resumes. It's not the biggest problem given I can just unplug and plug it back in, but it's more or less something to note. Maybe a small bug for power in standby/sleep mode. (or my PC itself.) -Isn't wireless, but they do sell a wireless version of this controller, albeit it does weigh and cost more. I think the TE version is perfect for people that need a controller, but are mainly mouse and keyboard users. Avoids the aspect of a battery degrading over time when not in use or charging infrequently. OVERALL: This is the best compromise I've come across in terms of a solid design incorporating everything I'd more or less want, but without the nonsense. Since I already use Razer's synapse software, it's been rather straight forward and doesn't require me swapping between multiple configuration suites. Outside of the power/resume bug, which doesn't happen all the time.. I really find it hard to fault this from my subjective preferences. I've been mainly using this to play Skate all week and it hasn't let me down yet. Is the wireless version better? Maybe.. but I think most PC gamers would prefer the TE assuming they mostly use M+K but need a controller for specific games. I'm very happy with this one and can easily recommend it to anyone.

High Speed, Tons of Options, Maybe Overkill

I ordered this for the proficient gamer in the family as he bounces between the XBox and PC gaming with a heavy emphasis on PC as of late. Out of the box it felt familiar and comfortable with a little bit of light feel compared to some of the other controllers in the armory. Being connected versus wireless was fine with the length of cable and didn't represent any issues. We have a wealth of other Razer devices so we were familiar with the controller app and getting everything connected, but I don't think anybody would have issues with it as it's truly plug and play. Experience comes in when it comes to fine tuning the app, not just for hooking it up and starting to play out of the box. The size of the controller, the positioning of the sticks, pad, and buttons are all intuitive with a very short learning curve. The additional button on the back of the handles are something that I couldn't get a feel for using without thinking about it, but the son seemed to pick them up and assign them easily enough so I trust his take on them. So me, the novice, and him, the pro, found different uses for the entire thing, but it adjusted to both of us pretty well. I'm not used to the wired feel, but he prefers it for the low latency (immediate response). Evidently, I don't play games that require lightning fast reflexes, but this thing handles those requirements better than the wireless ones. The app is full of options and configurations that seem overwhelming and we both used it for different reasons. I set things up to be familiar (which is pretty much out of the box with a few modifications) and he went hog wild with customizing buttons that I don't even use. Again, convenient for the novice to the pro. I originally gave it a 4 star review because I felt it was too light and over complicated, but I was corrected and told it is neither of those things so I adjusted it back to a 5. For the casual gamer, I would say it might be too much, but for the avid gamer it is a great controller and highly configurable. It goes between the XBox and the PC seamlessly, but we've honestly never had trouble with any wired controllers not doing that. In summary, it's a good, solid controller with high speed response and tons of customizations that let you adjust it to whatever your needs are. Overkill for casual, but dead on for avid gamers.

    Premium wired performance

The overall design of this controller features a typical design. This is not a bad thing as it is quite ergonomic, and the combination of textured and smooth finishes feels nice and secure in the hands. The ABXY buttons, back pedals, and D-pad are mechanical-like and very clicky. The shoulder and option buttons also have a nice, but duller click. The thumbsticks rotate well and go back to place with a bit of vibration. Although this is a wired controller, I am pleased that the cord is removable, since I have several devices I can easily move it to and from without taking the cord out. I have been testing it in several games ranging from RPGs, adventures, platformers, and of course, FPS -both on PC and console. I have had a great experience for the most part. The buttons are super responsive and the thumbsticks make moving and aiming buttery smooth -dare I say better than hall effect? The triggers feel natural in racing games and very precise in FPS with the adjustable travel distance slider. I did notice some slight false diagonal movements with the D-pad -especially in fighting and side-scrolling retro games. I highly recommend downloading the Razer Synapse App. There, you can remap buttons, adjust polling rates up to 8Khz, modify joystick dead zones/sensitivities, calibrate, and change the D-pad directional inputs (4 or 8 way). Then, all changes can be saved in up to 4 profiles in the on-board memory. Sure, the price may be at the high end, but so is the overall design, performance, and build-quality. If you need only one wired controller that is better than the standard ones, this may be the one to get.

The Razer Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition is built for players who want fast, precise control without extra fuss. The buttons respond with a crisp, quick click that makes every input feel intentional. The triggers are smooth, and the adjustable hair-trigger mode gives you an edge in shooters where every millisecond counts. The controller sits comfortably in the hands. The grip texture keeps it stable during long sessions, and the layout is familiar for anyone that prefers an Xbox controller. The extra remappable buttons are easy to reach and make it simple to customize the controller to your liking. Build quality is solid. The wired connection is a must for anyone looking to take things more seriously and keeps input lag to a minimum. Overall, the Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition delivers speed, comfort, and reliability. If you want a competitive controller that feels sharp and responsive, this one is an excellent upgrade. Quit messing around with shoddy wireless connections and upgrade to this.

I have not had a good gaming controller in some time for my computer, and I saw this was compatible with x-box and pc and front a company I know is reliable. I have several products from them. This had a standard feel of an x-box controller. Light yet enough tactile wight to feel substantial. The buttons are firm and responsive. There are no odd clicks and average noise from them. Nothing seems to stick. The length of the cord is very adequate. Mine is the standard all black,, but it looks like it looks like it has white and a white and black versions if you want. The default setup on most of the buttons on games I tested, but adding or modifying a few was easy enough. The software is fairly easy to work with. I use this on mainly racing games and 1st person games and most things seem to be ok. The price on this is vomoetative for the build and features. I have no qualms with it and don't see any stars to deduct points for. It works for what I want it for. I do reccomend this controller.

In my opinion, the Razer - Wolverine V3 Tournament Edition 8K Wired Gaming Controller with TMR Thumbsticks and Swappable Caps for PC - Black, is so far the best hand held controller I've ever used. It's super lightweight, very comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The ergonomics are top notch. The locations of all of the buttons and joy sticks is very intuitive. The button presses are nearly instant, and the smoothness of the joy sticks makes playing my favorite games that much more enjoyable. On my favorite fighting games, (Killer Instinct, Soulcalibur, Street fighter, Mortal Kombat) this controller made me feel like I was a better player, I was able to pull off special moves, and combinations, that I struggle with using other controllers. Unfortunately I'm still no good at Cyber punk 2077... of most other first person shooters, I just like the mouse and keyboard better for those. This controller is easily configurable if you want to change the factory settings more to you're liking, you can adjust the speed and depth of the buttons and triggers, and the speed or precision of the thumb sticks as well. The thumb sticks are replaceable too if you want even more control. The only things I don't like about it are the included cable is to short for me because I game on my TV and my PC is across the room from my seat, and the black on black theme looks killer, but it's really hard to see what each button does... I would have preferred the writing to be in white or some other contrasting color that I could more easily see.

I've been a controller user for quite some time now so it's always nice to come across another well thought out controller. While the default controller is usually an XBOX/PS5 controller, I usually prefer aftermarket ones since they're a little more customizable and just feel better overall than the normal OEM controllers. This one is no different. With the controllers I've used in my time, I can't recall one that fit in the hand as well as this one does. Usually the controller is a smidge too long or the paddle buttons are just awkwardly placed or something else that just detracts from the controller. Not this one. For my hand size, this thing fits perfectly and every button/paddle is exactly where you expect it to be. Now this is purely for me but I'm sure other users will experience the same thing here. Also, the controller is muted without all the zany RGB or lights like other controllers usually have which I like. The overall performance of this controller is what you'd expect. Responsive buttons with audible clicks and just a great feeling overall.
