    Bought to replace Samsung remote that came with the TV that is about 8 years old; it works fine as a replacement remote for the TV (allowing TV menu access, etc.) and also allows you to enter the HDTV sub-channels directly (e.g., 5.1), which wasn't possible with the original Samsung remote.

    It's hard to review because this did not work with an "old" piece of equipment. It may be that no remote will work with it. However, very nice remote with back light.

    Was only able to utilize for three devices as the auxillary buttons did not work for me, but works nicely with my tv, audio and dvd player.

    It was fairly easy to program to operate an old DVD/VCR player along with a TV, BluRay player and cable box. I wish it had a "favorites" channel button like the cable remote it is replacing, but that's really the only negative.

    Purchased to replace the remote of a 10-yr old Samsung TV (not a Smart TV) which is mainly used to watch on-air HDTV programs. This RCA remote does provide a button to enter "." so that on-air HDTV sub-channels (e.g., 5.1) can be directly accessed using the remote - very nice.
