This antenna is exactly what I needed, and even though some of the over 50 channels I receive are not perfectly clear reception, I do get all the main channels without any problem. Also, I did not need the amplification provided, and simply disconnected that part (which I could later add again for additional TV reception). The Best Buy support I received when making the purchase was excellent, and very helpful.

Work very well immediately after hookup, the additional power for reception really pulled in a clear image. Very good price.

Picked up this antenna for my mom who's in her 70s and frustrated with high cable prices the salesman convinced us to purchase this one. I hooked it very easily and I only saw the brief time I was installing and familiarizing her with it's use. It scanned about 70 channels plus it was able to pick up CBS channel which is difficult in the Chicago area. This antenna has a low profile and picks up everything within range and the picture was great. If you want to cut the cord this antenna is a good start.

Easy to install. Works good enough to disconnect cable services. I receive all major network channels clearly. Had an issue one evening public tv channel maybe due to weather issues. Otherwise I haven’t needed to adjust its location to get better reception. Bought a second one for another tv.

The indoor antenna was really not what was on my mind because it has rabbit ears. I wanted something flat that hangs from the wall. I made the wrong choice. My fault.

This RCA amplified antenna does a good job of receiving signals in my area even though I live away from the city. I would say that it rivals my expensive Rohu antenna. I believe that the antenna being amplified makes the difference. This one is worth the price.

Who Needs Cable?

Who needs Cable TV? This thing is amazing! One of the few reasons we get cable is to get the local channels and a handful of cable channels we watch. With this antenna we got over 60 channels, clear picture, and the local channels were all there as well as channels I did not expect to have access to. It pays for itself in the first week!

Best indoor antenna of the 6 different ones we’ve tried, most channels and clarity but still some channels we get on the “square” ones not picked up even with power on. Not too good w/o power

I replaced a non-amplified antenna with this RCA Amplified HDTV Antenna.
For starters, there is a huge difference between no antenna and any HDTV antenna. However, I found no significant difference in my reception. It may be due to the fact that I live within 30 miles of the major broadcast antennas, or maybe because I do not have a window in which to place the antenna (as recommended by RCA).
The original non-amplified antenna found almost the same number of televisions stations during the scanning process. The quality of the image was similar with both amplified and non-amplified. If anything, the amplified antenna amplified some of the artefacts in the image.
The app correctly found the broadcast antennas but I was limited in my ability to direct the amplified antenna in the direction of those antennas because of my layout. I also wanted the antenna to be out of the way.
I think an amplified antenna is a good idea of you live far away from the large antennas which broadcast the signals. Otherwise, I do not think they are worth the extra money over a non-amplified antenna.

The antenna was placed near a window, but centrally located in the room. The reception is very good.
