Nice-n-easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you can read English & plug in 2 cables, this is the unit for you. Get excellent reception, most all the local channels. Very simple to set-up & now fuse to use. Will advise to purchase for anyone needing off the air amplifier.

Problematic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me begin by saying I have a 50'' plasma Samsung flat screen. The installation and set up were fairly straightforward and routine for anyone familiar with old style "bunny ears." The difference here is that you have to also plug this item into an electrical socket. My problem was that my TV is in a recessed area of the living room surrounded by three windows (which one might think would be a good thing) on a tv stand. After trying to get signal on the stand behind the tv itself, then in each window (in various orientations in each window), I was only able to receive signal directly above the tv, holding it approximately 4 inches above the screen in the center. When the picture did come in while holding it in mid-air above the tv, the image was crisp, clear, and HD. However the moment I sat it down anywhere, all signal was lost. For my situation, it obviously wasn't practical.

Good quality for a nice price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an antenna prior to this one and it was horrible. This one was easy to set-up and it gives us many more channels than our last antenna. I found the closer it is to the window the better it works.

Not too bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Figured I'd go with the old type of rabbit ears. This one's not too bad, but I still can't pick up local stations (Pittsburgh). I get a few Ohio and West Virginia station. Easier to maneuver than Mohu - Leaf 50 Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna. Will keep trying to tune in stations with this one.

Performs better than specified on box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed this on my sister's tv in a rural area and it is so good, she may not get cable TV. She just moved into a new home in a rural area that most people are only able to use satellite TV connections. After turning the tv set on and adjusted the antennae, we had all 3 of the major networks and another 7 channels besides. They were crystal clear and in HD.

Good value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second of these units I've purchased. Both work fairly well in Durham. We get ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, PBS, MeTV, Fox and a country music channel at least. It can take some re-angling of the antennas sometimes to get channels to come in strong enough. I want to try to purchase a $50 antenna next time to see if the extra cost eliminates the need to re-angle to save a little hassle. I think that would be worth $25, but not the $75-150 it would cost to get to the next tier of antenna. Make sure you check the web to see what signals are in your area and which direction they are so you can point your antenna the right direction for the signal you want.

Decent antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works pretty well. It does take up space with the base and also the actual antenna 'ears'. I have it behind my flat screen and it actually blocks the signal. Being that my tv stand is on an inside wall and not against an outside wall, I need to extend the antenna out from behind tv to receive better signal. The amplified action does help but I would like to like to have a smaller style antenna or move my stand. If your set up is correct, this antenna works very well. I would recommend it with proper stand orientation.

Good product for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems solidly built. Pulls in all the available channels really well. I don't have to get up & mess with it. A good product for the price & I didn't have to climb up on my roof to install it. I didn't rate durability as I just got it a couple of months ago but as I said ;so far so good.

It's a HD Antenna! Yay!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since cutting the cable cord in our house we've been fairly happy; however, there are a few shows that my wife regularly misses out on (*cough*Scandal*cough*). I'd hoped that this antenna would solve that issue. Unfortunately, even a great antenna can't catch what isn't there. We can clearly receive quite a few other channels, however, and they come in crystal clear. Fair warning -- the signals can be blocked by heavy rain, but that seems to be a more general problem.

Excellent reception.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This antenna works quite well. I have it in an upstairs room, on the far side of the house from the direction of the closest tower. I had no problems setting it up on a Samsung 32" LED tv. Clear picture and sound. It does take up a LOT of space when the antennaes are extended and spread but I found that not to be necessary for my area. My only disappointment was that it doesn't work if not plugged in (ergo, amplified.) I'd keep kids or pets away from it as it tips easliy.

Excellent Antenna for good price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently decided to cut the cable and was in the market for an antenna. I went into best buy with out knowing a lot about them. The sales person recommended getting an amplified one and recommended the RCA as the best one for the price. Simple to hook up and works great. I use this in a room where the tv is away from any windows and get many channels. Works great for me!

Great for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We finally got a digital converter so we can watch regular tv programming again and we needed a new antenna. We moved it up into the attic where it is out of sight and it picks up at least 60 channels which is good for our area in Bucks County PA. Some times if the weather is bad the picture gets pixelated but for the most part it's nice and clear. It was easy to install as well.

Great start to cutting the cord!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a number of antennas to test and found this to work best in getting the most channels with ease. I recommend this one over the non amplified version and the flat plastic RCA models. Brings in all main channels and lots more. Couple this with hulu or netflix and save yourself the cost of cable.

Absolutely wonderful for country living
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great antennae for country living, if you do not want or have satellite. Wonderful reception for my HDTV, and I get quite a few channels. Had bought an antennae from walmart for twice as much and only got one channel. Love this antennae and will buy 3 more for the other tv's in the house. Thanks RCA for making this marvelous and easy to setup antennae for people living in the country, I'm about 30 miles outside the city.

Average Indoor Antenna
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It beats a blank but you still have to run a new scan every now and then because a lot of local channels cannot get a signal from time to time. When you do get a signal it comes up nice and clear.

Good for what it is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing works well enough. We needed something for our basement apartment and with this stuck in the window, it works decently. It still gets a little bit sketchy reception every now and then, but it's better than nothing, and when it works, the channels come in crystal clear. I'm sure there are better antennas but for how cheap this was AND the fact that it works in our basement, I can't be too upset. If I could give it a 4.5 out of 5 I would.

Great antenna for local channels
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second purchase of this antenna. I bought another different antenna that worked for a month or so until the reception was just too choppy. I bought this one since it's exactly like the first one I bought and it has worked great! The first one broke when one of the antenna spokes got caught up in a couch that was being moved. So as far as quality of the antenna spokes I would say a 200 pound couch will snap them like paper straws but if you're not forcing heavy objects over it, it will last a long time. Another thing I like about this antenna is that I can adjust the poles and move it from one side of my tv or another. Some stations come in better on the right and some on the left. This does not bother me since I'm not paying for cable and I'm getting 1080 quality with my antenna.
