Works but just ok

Mind boggling!

Wanted channel 2 the most to watch lions and other NFL football games. How is it that all the other local channels came in fine except channel 2? Mind boggling! I wonder if this was done on purpose? Oh and I tried to return it to Best Buy where purchased but it was past the 15 day return policy. All other retailers have expanded return times. Not Best Buy apparently. There’s shrunk! I had never heard of 15 days until this purchase. I thought 30 days was standard. How wrong I was. As a result, I will not be shopping at Best Buy again. They lost a lifetime customer due to their greedy return time policy. Too bad, so sad for them! Keep your stinkin’ points!!

Posted .Hello Tomahawk - After reviewing the FCC data for your area, it appears WJBK FOX-2 is being broadcast in VHF and not UHF. Unfortunately, VHF stations broadcast signals are broadcast at significantly less power thus do not travel as far as UHF signals and are more susceptible to impulse noise (RF interference). There are many items that could cause RF interference (CFL light bulbs, WiFi, microwave, etc..) and typically they are worse in the morning or at night when there are more things "on" in your surrounding environment. You can try moving your antenna as high up and/or as close to (or in) a window facing the direction of the broadcast towers, making sure you completely uncoil the antennas cable, and rerun a channel scan. If you do not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse.

Not recommended for apartments

Posted .Hello Secret Santa - The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location inside your specific apartment, is the major factor on whether an antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there. We have thousands of customers who receive local broadcast signals just fine within their apartments. Lack of strong signals and other factors in the surrounding environment can potentially (negatively) affect those incoming signals. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your apartment have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Typically, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window that faces the direction of your local broadcast towers, you will likely have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. Happy Upgrade

So far, all has been working well. The shelves are sturdy, the door storage is wide enough for most items. The lighting is good. Much better than my chest freezer with manual defrost.

Cut the Cord-Buy RCA Indoor Flat Amplified Antenna

Using the RCA Indoor Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna was totally worth it! We have crisp clear images and quite a few TV selection to watch. GREAT BUY!
