RCA Antenna

I used mine while waiting on my cable to be connected and use as a backup when I have cable issues. Also bought one for my grandmother. She likes it better than her flat antenna.

Ok for the price

It also could be my location itself that doesn't provide a good enough signal.

Great value for your money

I like that it can be mounted on the wall and has a built in stand. I use the built in stand and it is hidden behind the tv.

How do you know if it's you or the antenna?

According to the FCC, I should be able to get "moderate" signal. That's 3 bars out of the 4. This antenna is advertised to get multi-directional signals up to 55 miles. The antenna was only able to 2 channels (ch 2 - CBS and 5 - The CW) and that was without the amplifier. When I plugged in the amplifier it did not get me any more channel reception? I returned this the very next day!

Posted .Sorry to hear that this antenna did not work at your specific location. Hopefully you did repertorm a channel scan through your TV menu settings after connecting your amplifier. That is the most often over-looked step after making any changes to your antenna system. Keep in mind that there are also several other factors that can affect your ability to receive the broadcast signal at your specific location and are why mileage ratings placed on antenna packaging are only provided as a general guide to antenna performance. Signal strength ratings found online are typically given at a height of about 30ft with zero obstructions. Objects such as tree foliage, building construction type, metal roofing materials and the physical terrain (mountains & hills) of the land all play significant roles and may severely block the incoming signals at your specific location. Aluminum or steel siding, metal lathe or older plaster walls, and metal mesh under stucco all can interfere to some degree when trying to setup and get over-the-air TV broadcast reception indoors. Sleek and Modern

Sometimes the newer stuff is not as good as the older kinds. Modern look but it just doesn’t compare to the old rabbit ears.
