This is great tripod for easy audio recording. In my picture I have it fitted with a Rode Micro(SKU: 4739923) and a 10' extension cord(SKU: 1535319.) I place it as close as I can to my interviewee and just out of frame. This is a fantastic audio setup up! All of it can fit it a small bag, easy to use and under $100! A must have for a beginning vlogger or a videographer on the go.

Build quality appears to be excellent and is great compact size for easy transport. I could see this lasting for a long time.

I was attracted to the minimal design, and I'm pleased with certain aspects of it (i.e. light, relatively simple, and inexpensive). The design has its foibles, however, in particular the way the central housing is tightened with a thumb screw that never quite gets the housing tight enough to hold the microphone in place. Additionally, the tripod legs do not provide a wide enough base to keep the microphone physically stable and balanced. I'm using a heavier mic (Blue Baby Bottle) that is clearly much too much for such a small stand as this. Having said that, it's probably sufficient for smaller microphones, but it's been wholly unable to meet my demands for larger applications.

This works perfect for my Rode Video Mic pro. I use it for video and works perfect when doing interview documentary. I can hide it and keep out of the video. Just a perfect fit!
