Maybe a bit of overkill for a simple podcast but this thing is awesome! The effects keypads are really a nice touch. Take the time to watch tutorials to master this but it’s pretty intuitive. Very pleased with this purchase!

Amazing device, I especially liked the configurability of the pads -- I use them to play entire sound files quickly and easily. I worked a live stream event recently and all the audio guys at the venue were drooling over it.

This device packs a lot of functionality in a small package. Despite that, I think it is seriously over priced. This unit is filled with functionality to bring a lot to podcasting. Somethings about the design trouble me. A part of the unit generates a lot of heat, and some users report the top metal panel coming unglued. The latest firmware update didn’t add much that is really useful, and now the de-easer doesn’t work. So, lots of features in a small package for podcasters, software updates seem to lack regression testing and break as much as they fix. The warranty last a good long while, but I fear many of us will need to take advantage of that and ship our units to California for repair. It’s a nice idea, and packs a lot inside, and if the company can get their programming act together and fix things instead of breaking things it might almost be worth the money. Would I buy it again? Not unless the company gets their programming and build quality issues together.

Had a blast using the Rodecaster Pro II, paired with the Shure SM7B g9& the built-in settings for that microphone gave me the perfect sound exactly what I was lo9oking for on my stream/podcast setup. Also, the customizable pads have replaced the Elgato stream deck that I was previously using.

Huge improvement over the first RCP. Great audio interface. Fantastic quiet preamps. Live compression, deesser, noise gate... Presets for popular mics. If you live stream, use Zoom for work, host a podcast, etc, just order it already

Overall this is a great unit. I love the smart tabs for sound effects and the faders work beautifully. However I didn't like how it takes the place of my interface. I switch between both depending on what I am working on. If you are wanting to podcast or stream this is a must have.

This thing is a beast. I use it for podcasting, streaming, and recording music. The built in audio processing has made my Shure SM58 sound as good as the SM7B. I love the flexibility of the device, and use it every day.

This was a huge learning curve from my goxlr but i have been loving this device. I bought this due to doing multiple kinds of content where i use a different mic for different content and this has saved me a ton of time.

I love it, is actually what I need for long time. I’m gonna do a podcast and this is the best thing ever because I’m going to connect my microphones and my headphones in to this for a better quality and more.

Definitely an improvement over the first version but not perfect. Rode is a great they tried to address most of the shortcomings addressed by users of the RCP V1 and hit the mark on most things. And for those things that they didn't quite get right they are actively addressing with software and firmware updates. It's not perfect because it cannot effectively replace a true soundboard in my opinion. Many people thought it would be able to do so. Streamers are finding many of the features useful but the learning curve, while not difficult, is more involved than V1.

Fantastic piece of audio! It has simplified a lot with my setup, allowing me to cut down my equipment chain. The software is great, I have yet to experience any issues what so ever.

I have had this now for a little over 1 year. This has made running a two pc stream setup so easy. The amount of inputs and the ability to connect audio from two computers with type c usb cables. The flexibility to bring guests on to the stream, and separate voip programs like discord or team speak from being heard on stream is amazing. I don’t know how I would operate without one.

This is a game changer, my content creation now has more possibilities than ever, the sound quality is awesome and the options you have are simply all you need.

Rode does it again, and now, they've unlocked even more new features for the RP2! This is the best for remote broadcasting, podcasting etc.

Dope device definitely recommend for podcast uses.
