Great sound, Great size and it works with my camera and go pros

I do lots of youtube videos and lots of video recording and this is by far the best mic I have ever used!

Because the cam was a package deal with my Canon EOS M50, I thought that the sound quality would be so so. But, I was pleasantly surprised! I was recently videoing at the coast and was able to hear my subjects voice over the crashing waves. Very directional audio quality at a rock bottom price!

I have noticed that in some videos I get some pops and hiss sounds. I originally thought it was the sound of the lens on autofocus but after a few listens, realized it is the mic. I have taken a few videos with and without and there is an improvement but if this mic didn't come as part of a creator kit, I would suggest going for the video mic pro.

After using this several time seems to work well. Inside it picks up sound a little to well. If you can adjust the volume in with your camera you can fix that. Outside it does pick up a lot of wind noise. So maybe a wind protector would benefit those who video a lot outdoors. Other than those issue not much to complain about. Nice not having to remember batteries out realizing you left your mic on and your battery is dead when you need it. So that is a plus.

Took a while to figure out the sensitivity control but onece I had it down, I knew I made a good Investment.

Bought for use with my Canon EOS M50. Overall, works well for a midrange price. Would purchase again.

Besides the fact that it looks semi professsional. It’s perfect. Great enhanced audio and works perfectly with the go pro 9. Had it connected at universal studios and I was asked to remove it because there is no professional recording equipment allowed. Well it’s not but it at least sounds professional

As we already know camera onboard microphones are horrible on the other hand if you are trying to improve the audio go for something better unless you are not planing on a professional final product. One of the Pros of this item is that it doesn't need batteries.

We use this microphone with a MEVO. Because it is not powered (no battery, USB, etc) it is not the loudest or most sensitive in picking up audio - and therefore must be nearer to it's source. However, it does excellent at keeping background and side noice out of the recording.

Amazing sound quality. It’s pretty easy to use and it’s very portable

I like this microphone because it is dependable and it works off the battery of the camera and so there is no question of forgetting to turn on the microphone or having to track one more battery besides the camera's battery, I wish it was not so pricey as otherwise I would have given it 5 stars instead of 4.

Purchased this as my Sony A6500 mic was just below mediocre and sound was just not usable when I filmed outside. Connected the Rode to my camera and filmed in few different setting inside and outside. Sound quality is amazing and you can adjust most of the setting from camera itself. Super easy and affordable alternative to much pricier options.

Rode makes great quality microphones. This is very lightweight and versatile.
