This product os very easy to use and great mic quality. Higjly recommend.

I have the rode mic pro that I use with my dslr but that setup is quite big to always take with me. I use this with the iPhone 7 Plus and the sound for what I use it for is ideal. Picks up my voice perfectly for vlogging and my at home YouTube videos. I stupidly thought it was broken at first because when it’s plugged into your phone...if you play the video back you won’t hear any sound. That’s because it’s plugged into the Lightning port which is wear headphones now go on iPhones. So it comes with a quarter inch port to listen with wired headphones if you’d like.

Bought this mic for recording videos outside. Definitely cuts off wind and enhances the voice. Pretty cheap price for a very effective product.

The microphone works great. The lightning connection needs to be re-thought. I've purchased two of these microphones with the same result, lightning connector is no longer attached. There must be another way to make this product without so much sensitivity.

I was truly surprised that this mic could record the sound it did. I originally bought it to record my daughter's performance in a musical that was in a church with extremely poor acoustics. Many kids weren't individually mic'd and the music overpowered their voices. I placed the mic onto my ipad on a tripod in the back of the church, and was shocked at how good the recording was.

Quality is amazing and works well with live stream as well!

This easy to use mic does well to focus on what is in front of it. I live in a noisy area and this makes the background of my videos so much quieter, if not completely silent.

I bought this mic in the hopes of using my phone as a main camera to record videos and just use my mirrorless camera solely for photos. This was so easy and convenient to use since there were no wires, just plug and play. The sound was great, when it works. I noticed that sometimes it will just record scratching noises that just ruin the whole video as there is no usable audio. It will start good then suddenly scratching noise, or scratching noise right from the start. I would still recommend this to a friend, hopefully your device won't be defective.

If you’re looking for a quick solution to improve sound quality in your iPhone videos this is a hood option. Portable and does help in windy conditions

I use this mic for outdoor video recording. I was never happy with the built in mics for my iPhones so I purchased this mic and it does not disappoint at all. The big wind muff is necessary to have in windy conditions but it is very effective. It was very important that the mic has a lighting connection so I don't need to use extra cable and I love that I can connect some headphones to the mic for monitoring while recording and for playback without having to remove the mic from the lighting port.

This is a really good directional mic for the price. It blocks out the wind pretty well although you will get a little bit of wind noise in Highwind situations. It is easy to use and does a pretty good job and picks up your voice from a decent distance

Great audio quality. Good for blogging or close videos. The audio isn’t very loud if you’re more then 4-5 feet from the front of the mic.

Great sound. High quality. Well worth the price. Easy operation. I just plugged it in and it did what it supposed to do. Very happy.

Excellent mic for the size and price! The audio quality is incredible, and comparable to that of a larger mic.

The mic works well, and is fairly directionally allowing to cut out back ground noise. But it is not as clear or as amplified as I had hoped. It works well enough I would not return it, I am for sure using it in the future.

It was a nice sound that the microphone picked up but there is one thing I wish it included. I wish it had the red adapter chord to connect into a camera. Unfortunately it only came with the built in phone jack.

I went back and forth on whether to purchase this microphone. Because it was a RODE that receives such great reviews, I broke down and finally purchased it. I must say that I am not impressed at all. I thought having an IOS compatible microphone for my iPhone would be awesome, however, the fur windshield blocks a lot of the screen including the button for activating the recordings. I use my phone for podcasting and other things, and it's just more cumbersome than it is worth. I had broken my Samson Condensor microphone when it tipped over, but it has an IOS adapter and I loved it. For RODE, the microphone isn't as clear as I like and even with the windscreen, the clarity is much better on the Samson so I've decided to repurchase that one instead.

This is good if you are within 3 ft of the subject. It did not say what the distance was when purchasing it, so I found out through trial and error. For what I was creating, I did not want to be limited by the distance.

If you have an Ipad and need better audio capture, this is the best unit to buy for the money. I had used this mic to capture a zoom recording and the sound quality is awesome.
