Attached this to my A6600 for improved sound quality and oh boy does it make a difference. It is easy to attach and just plugs in. The sound quality is great and filters out wind noise. I would highly recommend this!

I was looking for an inexpensive microphone for my DSLR that would reduce or ideally eliminate the camera motor noise while doing video, as well as one that would reduce or eliminate wind noise. So far, the product seems to do both reasonable well. Another reviewer mentioned the problem of the microphone flopping downwards. Like that viewer, I find myself using a rubber band to hold the microphone horizontal to the camera body. In addition, the dead cat does not stay secure over the microphone; If I happen to hold the camera straight down, the furry slides forward, uncovering the microphone. Since I'm moving around a lot to do bird photography, I have to constantly remember to pull the furry back over the full microphone (the furry does not slide off, but...who knows....). For these reasons I give the product a 4 rating.

This is a good Mic with solid build. Just that the wind guide on it tends to fall off .. I will probably hot glue it in place.

The mic is fantastic when considering both price and size. It's better than my combination of Zoom H4n and Shure lav mic (though that's probably a fault of the Zoom's preamps.) My only gripe with this mic setup is that the dead cat filter is a bit loose and can slide of the mic if you're not paying attention.

Small mic that you can take anywhere and comes with a death kitten and don't use 9v battery. It is powered from the camera itself. Nice mic to have for convenience.

It is almost as expected. After all, there is no special requirement for it. The overall feeling is pretty good, matching the price. The main fancy is that it is small and does not require battery power. Not bad

Impressed. We've taken this outside and used it while walking through a neighborhood park, the mall, and even in the car. The sound quality is super clear and with very little, if any, background noise. Plus it easily attaches to our other video blog equipment that we have.

Nice little beginner microphone. Use it on my Nikon Z7. Great for travel due to the size. Audio is about what I expected. Nothing earth shattering but better than internal camera audio. Also makes for a nice backup mic.

Crisp audio, compact size. too bad the clip does not come in any other color.

This mic is easy to use, easy to attach to my iPhone 11 Pro, and does a very good job of recording voices. You will need to purchase a 0.55' 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable. It blocks out a lot of background noises. Highly recommend it.

I looked at a lot of reviews and youtube videos to try to get an accurate expectation about this product prior to purchasing it. The VideoMicro is a good microphone that is able to pick up your voice from a distance and still record it loud and clear. Previously, I purchased a $100 microphone (Samson Satelite) that was primarily made for podcasting and the like. While it was fine, I didn't like the fact that I needed to be so close to it. For my use, I wanted something to use for my Laptop/PC that was discrete and low profile (with an added benefit to use on a camera later if needed). This microphone provided just that. If one decides to go that route you will need a splitter or a cable like the SC7 to communicate with your PC.

We vlog and capture moments from our trips.. this mic is amazing.. the sound it's capturing is so good.. your camera could be far and will still record your voice really well. Using this on a Sony a6500! For the price it is really good specially since you get a dead. At with it too.

I purchased this microphone to get a clearer audio when I record with my camera and it’s been really great so far. Crisp audio, easy set up, easy to hse. I love it.

I bought this on a whim. I have one of the early Videomic Pros from RØDE (before the Rycote shock mounts). I wanted as a small reference mic for my rig. I’ve found it to be very useable for run and gun situations on my G7. The included wind screen is super handy. While the Pro and other powered mics do produce better, more directional sound, this guy is pretty simple and effective. I never worry about forgetting to turn it on/off during a shoot on or the battery dying as it’s completely powered by the camera. It also helps that Panasonic cameras have decent preamps.

I enjoy buying things from Best Buy. The protection plan makes it worth it. They have finance options and sometimes offer bonus gift cards.

Rode is top notch and this is the perfect entry level mic for a beginner videographer.

This is my second Rode Video Micro Microphone and I love the sound and how compact this is. I've used this on my phone and also on my Sony A7S II full frame mirrorless camera. Does the job well as long as I can keep this dry in my adventures.

I bought this product for my improving my audio quality on my DJI Osmose Action Camera. And it is FANTASTIC. Highly recommend. Do your research first, you're going to need to buy an adapter if you want it to attach on you camera... worth it.
