This product worked great! This was a last minute purchase because I needed a microphone solution for better audio recordings from an iPhone. In minutes, I was able to unpack the item, plug it into the iPhone via a Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (not included), and start recording. Worked like a charm! Will be using it regularly for future video recordings from my iPhone.

This item was purchased with improving the audio for mobile videos in mind. And for that, it works very well. I shoot video from a smartphone both indoors and outdoors and the audio picked up by this directional mic is very good. It also comes with high quality accessories like a Rycote Lyre mount (with cold shoe foot) and windmuff when shooting in windy or outdoor conditions. This model draws power from the headphone jack so no need for batteries or other charging equipment. For what you get, this is an exceptional value.

Overall I am very pleased with the performance of this mic. I purchased it due to the need of taking my church services online during the covid 19 outbreak. The sound quality of my taped sermons has been great and I would definitely recommend this mic to anyone who is eager to enhance the sound quality on their videos. Currently using a galaxy 10 phone with the mic, I do have to purchase an additional adapter for the mic to work properly.

I bought this mic a few months ago and have used it several times. I would not say it amplified sounds greatly nor did it make your voice sound any different. However, when used outside in the wind, it dose a pretty decent job of cutting down on the wind noise. It will not eliminate all of it, but it does help substantially. Be aware though, the dead cat cover can fall off on it's own. So if you are out hiking, pay attention. Speaking from experience. Luckily I backtracked and found it. For the price, I think it can be beneficial to most.
