Great for beginner videographers, captures good audio and comes with a mute cap to diminish noise!

Use it to record programs at a historic site. Does a much better job at recording voices then the camera (EOS R) built in microphone.

I got this to have a microphone that could be shielded to minimize the echo when recording church services. It fits nicely into the shield I purchased earlier. The phone was too big, but this is just right. The frequency response is much better than the phone's built in microphones, even on a phone that was rated one of the best. Especially for the price, it's a very good microphone.

Greate addition to my Tascam DR-05X. The combination takes better recordings than my iPhone.

This mic is great and records 90% directional to the front as it should and does it well. My only issue is with a canon Hf r600 that didn't have the 3v-5v out on the 3.5mm mic port. This mic will NOT work unless the camera puts out at least 3v to the mic. Now it's nice when you have a camera like a Sony AX53 that has this capability but otherwise, to get it to work with my Canon Hf r600 I'd have to soulder together some things and a battery to make it work - and things to make this work just don't exist although I've seen 2 pictures of them online, I wouldn't suggest them.

I use this on my Sony A73 when I need clearer sound. At family gathering or when I’m doing vlog type of things. Highly recommend. Just plug it in and it works, no additional batteries to install. A tip: make sure you check your sound range once you plug it in to your camera, it should never reach past the red mark of the sound spectrum or it will sound terrible.

This is a good microphone for its size and portability. Audio quality is significantly better than the built-in microphone on my Canon T7i, especially when recording outdoors thanks to the included wind muff. That being said, I'm thinking of upgrading to the full size VideoMic for even better performance. I bought this instead to save a few bucks and avoid having to worry about batteries, but that was short sighted. Buy this one if you really need a compact microphone, otherwise get the full size.

This mic is unbelievable for the money. I bought two and use one on each handheld camera during filming weddings and events. Sometimes I end up just using the audio from this mic as opposed to grabbing audio from the recorder or lapel mics. The price is a huge plus too as when I lost the couple I owned before, I simply just ran over to Best Buy and bought these to replace the lost ones.
