    I got this in an emergency when I had a client suddenly request video. As someone who's more experienced with photography I admit a bit of ignorance, but overally it's proven to be a very nice little mic. It fits in my camera case, the cover slides on or off to work with the environmental needs, and the sound quality is quite nice.

    I chose this mic over the shure one mainly because of price. I’m “shure” the shure mic is worth the money especially if you’ve going to be doing a lot of customizing for your situation. But for me I’m using the rode mic in my office and the quality it’s fantastic. It’s simply plug it in and go. So if you’re looking to vlog, make tutorial videos or whatever. This mic is great especially for the cost.

    Works as it should and that is fantastic... only two issues that do not affect the function of the microphone 1. the dead cat is hugh and 2. the way the microphone was packaged it leans forward a bit and I keep trying to work it back straight other than those it works great.
