This is a great item for recording sound for video. I do not have a newer cell phone with Usbc. My plan was to get an adapter. I bought one with a Best Buy associate’s help. However when it arrived at my house it was not the right one. Went back to Best Buy and this time was told they do not sell one. I have a newer iPad I can use it with but I will have to get a new cell phone to be able to use this effectively.
