I've used the third party packs, they always die quickly and don't hold up in hot or cold weather. The original Nikon pack does, the quality shows big time. The only downside is that it's expensive, but one spare genuine pack in your pocket easily replaces 2-3 of the junky generic batteries. Most recent purchase I'm reviewing is only one of many, I have 7 EN-EL14 batteries up to 7+ years old, they all work perfectly today.

Love the battery, it is efficient , I take a large amount of photos depending on temperature I can get a day and half use from my camera's with the Nikon's battery life. a little less if the flash is used alot then I generally get about 8 hours. or 1200 shots, without the flash I can average about 1800 shots. if slow photo days where I have forgotten to turn camera off have gotten 2 1/2 days of battery life.

I saw there were a lot of third party batteries and was very tempted to buy them. However my buddy bought three and they all died within a couple of months. That is why you see them having great reviews, they work perfectly at first then can't keep their charge after a couple of months. I know this is an expensive one, but it is worth it. I go on hikes and need to make sure I have at least one back up battery and this one does the job perfectly with no thrills

This battery has been working with my camera since I purchased it. And it continues. Good quality. Have tried using other brands and they do not last as long.

I went with the Nikon branded battery because I wanted to make sure Ithat my Nilon D3300 retained a charge that was equal to or better than the one that came with the camera. I was not disappointed. This battery in the Nikon D3300 holds a charge over 5 days after taking many pictures. I do not have the actual numbers but the number of photos taken over a period of a week was very impressive and much better than my Sony a6000.

I purchased this battery to replace some off-brand batteries that had swollen after many charge cycles to the point I almost was unable to remove them from the camera. This Nikon battery will not swell up over many charge cycles. I won’t purchase any more off-brand batteries to save a few bucks at the risk of having the battery stuck in the camera.

I use it in a D3200. It is a good back up battery. It last long and very reliable.

i this as a back up battery for my D5600. It is always good to have a spare when your traveling. The salesperson knew to order a genuine Nikon battery, since my camera was new and s non-Nikon battery would void the warranty.

This battery charges fast and is very long lasting! No need to recharge frequently.

I needed a new battery for my DSLR and rather than risk getting a counterfeit battery, I chose to buy at Best Buy. The salesperson gave me a little bit of a hassle price matching during Black Friday weekend but ultimately did it. This is a higher capacity battery than what came with my camera (Nikon - EN-EL14). Note that you might need to upgrade your camera firmware for this battery to work with your camera.

Brand named batteries made for specific cameras are better than non-brand. They hold a charge a lot longer, therefore, you can take many more pictures , especially if you are out in the middle of nowhere.

Nikon states the EN-EL14a provides more photos per charge than the EN-EL14 (although your camera may need a firmware update). I haven't counted photos, but this battery lasts a good while to where I'm very satisfied. You can buy after market batteries much cheaper, but they don't have anywhere near the life of the EN-EL14a. And you can even take advantage of Best Buy's price match guarantee.

I have both Nikon brand batteries and knock-off brand batteries for my Nikon cameras. The Nikon batteries are superior based on the number of images that one can get from a full charge and also how well it fits in the battery slot. Because I bought three accessories for my new Nikon Cyber-shot RX 100II, I got a 25% off discount. That was a nice discount.

I purchased this Nikon battery for our DSLR as a backup for a vacation to Yellowstone. Since I knew I'd be taking a ton of pictures, I figured that having an extra battery would be a good idea. One in the camera, and one on the charger back at the hotel. They hold their charge very well, despite heavy use during the day.

Battery life is great and it charges quickly. Everything you want in a battery.

I bought this to serve as a back up when I travel overseas and it serves the purpose very well so I do not have to worry about carrying a power converted with me.
