Best game I played in a long while. Since the release of GTA V, the advancement of new mechanics in the open world genre has returned. I enjoy the satire of modern life depicted by every title under rockstar games. The way this game has been greatly redesigned from its predecessor back 8 years ago has set the standards up high and regained my interest for console gaming. Nostalgic and a beautifully crafted masterpiece. Very glad I bought special edition. One of the few games I'll keep forever

So disappointed with how rockstar is treating this game, it couldve been way better than its predecessor but sadly its not. Great story but online is terribly drip feed and they dont seem to have any interest to updated and included an undead dlc. Dont get get me wrong u can have a bunch of fun on this game but rockstar for some reason is completely neglecting this game and poker is horribly capped.

Graphics are amazing the story mode is incredible game play is fluent and easy to me is the game of the year winner

Rockstar took the framework of GTA and mingled it perfectly with a beautifully polished Western. From the big open land to the smallest plant, every detail is pure perfection. The views from your trusty steed are jaw-droppingly gorgeous and the characters have deep, rich, plot development that stays with you long after your done playing. A pure work of Art. Looks like Rockstar is planning on sweeping the Video Game Awards again with this one. Don't miss out. A+ Five Stars

I have played this game relentlessly since it came out and simply put in my almost 40 years of gaming, this game is in my top 3 for greatest games of all time. The depth, detail, graphics, missions, variety, open world, is truly stunning. I have never played a game before where I have enjoyed a sunrise or sunset and literally stopped moving just to watch the sun go up or down over a mountain. Just a tremendous game. The long development was well worth it.

I don't even like Westerns or that era/theme, but this game plays like you're the hero in a movie, rather than watching a movie or a game that is full of cinematics/cut-scenes. The story starts with an immediate problem and the plot/background unfolds very well as you continue. While it's not the run-&-gun, drive-by, modern GTA, Red Dead Redemption II oozes with atmosphere and has a great game-feel.

I'm a big fan of HBO's Westworld. Like most Americans, I have a fascination with the Old West. Like most gamers, I absolutely loved the original Red Dead Redemption. So when I heard that a sequel (prequel) was on the horizon, I was notably excited. To say this game met my expectations is inaccurate. It didn't care about my expectations. It took me on an adventure unlike anything I've done in gaming, ripped me from reality and jammed me into the dusty boots of an outlaw, and I loved every minute. This game isn't like other games. It's slow, methodical, and brutal. The violence is fairly extreme at times (not gratuitous in a comical sense, but in a horribly realistic sense). There is a great deal of humor, but also a real sense of maturity in the narrative. I am so impressed with this game and what it was able to accomplish. If you liked the first Red Dead, you will love this game. If you like GTA, this is a big change of pacing. If you like Call of Duty (and nothing else) you might not enjoy the gameplay. That said, if you like story-driven narrative, complex characters, and a real sense of immersion, this is the game for you. Also, it should be mentioned, you can pet dogs in this game.

There is no better game out right now if you want a game that will provide endless amount of entertainment in a setting that is almost untapped. The story is amazing and will keep you sucked in for hours without you noticing. The gameplay is satisfying and with the random encounters, it feels as though I will never be bored with this game.

This is one of those experiences that only comes around once a console generation. This is a blueprint for all open world games going forward. Beautiful scenery, engaging storytelling and decent gameplay. The only thing holding it back is it's sluggish controls. I often find myself performing actions I don't intend to do. But, despite it's minor technical flaws, this game is a solid 9.5 and a must buy for any gamer.

At first I admit that I was not going to perchase this game. But many reviews and friends telling me that I can not pass this game up convinced me to buy and I am glad that I did. The attention to detail of the graphics to the exceptional voice acting and storyline. And don’t forget most importantly, the gameplay!! I cannot sing the praises of this game enough. You must not pass up this game like I almost did.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a must buy for anyone looking for a deep and incredibly immersive experience, that unfolds gradually over the many, many hours of game play. Red Dead Redemption 2 is guaranteed to offer you a complete and exciting experience, brimming with possibilities for the player to discover. The intro starts a little slow, but once you settle at your first camp a couple of hours in... wow!!!

I had my doubts that it would be better than Red Dead Redemption but Rockstar accomplished it! My wife and I can't stop, very addictive! This storyline takes place prior to RDR1 and fills out the history leading up to the mature John Marston. This is a great series. Can you say RDR3 for future? Would love to see it! Maybe 1875 when Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur were young? The real era of the gun fighter!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is simply excellent. The amount of work that Rockstar put into this game is evident from the very start of the game. The world is beautiful, filled with dynamic scenery and weather systems to explore with fluid gameplay that results in an addictive experience. This game is truly unlike any others that have come before it, and could very well be the best game of this generation.

Without question hands down this game to me is a 9 to 9.5 out of 10, it's so realistic the gameplay and graphics are awesome you can hunt, fish, play games, etc, you can't run out of things to do with this game, my advise play as a good guy it'll benefit you in the long run, so in closing this game is definitely worth buying if your into western games you won't be disappointed Enjoy!!!

It's a great game and overall full fun pack worth more then what we are paying actually. People are complaining about game health settings, travel, Story line, missions..ETC.. They need to know that they are not mature enough to play role playing game. Apart from great story line and gameplay this game is exceeding the baseline for current gen games in terms of graphics and details.

Such an addicting game. You can get lost for hours in the vast open world that Rockstar has created. Truly the greatest open world game created. Only downside is the HDR. I’ve got a relatively new Sony 4K and turning on HDR just made the colors very dull and dark I play without it. Regardless graphics are still great the scenery is gorgeous and will make you want to keep exploring.

Red Dead Redemptive II is seriously one of the greatest games of all time. There is no part of this game that feels cheap, or any part that feels like filler. You hear this game compared to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild a lot, and for good reason! I knew it was going to be good, but even I wasn't expecting this level of excellence and quality. I Reccomend 9,000%! ;)

This game is a blast to play. The story is interesting and the world is captivating. The only issue is there's a tough learning curve for the controls. You may accidentally be the aggressor or run into a few trees here and there.
