    Heck of a sub!

This "HT" 1205 line from REL is their previous iteration of sub that lacks speaker/high level input or adjustable DSP, but does share the same internal filter as their more musical lineup. They also work wirelessly with an add-on option. I bought two HT1205 subs within the last 3 weeks, as they were on a closeout sale, and I wasn't sure they'd be available again for the price of $449 each, since I missed the first sale around Christmas. Anyhow, my system is now a 7.4.4. My two other subs are SVS NSD-12 (400 watts), and they've been great! They only botton out on the most demanding lows. I really like their 5 year warranty, and SVS has a great app for adjustments, too. Once I stepped up to the REL (500 watts and 3yr warranty) , after comparing it with the SVS SB2000, I went with the REL, based on how hard and deep it hit, no distortion, and it was on sale. Speed and extension is on point. REL advises buyers to warm up their sub (videos on YouTube). REL also advises owners to first adjust the phase to whichever is audibly louder, then adjust the loudness level to match the bass notes of the speakers. In my case, I have Martin Logan 60xti's front stage, ML50xti center, Def Tech BP20 (additional front stage), BP10, and BP 6040 rear surround, and pro monitor 1000 atmos channels. Marantz 6014, Outlaw 7000x amp, and Earthquake Cinenova Grande amp, etc. Let's just say my system has plenty power available for them to sound their best, and I still have to keep the loudness level adjusted to the 10-12 o clock mark when listening to music... they hit that hard!!! And they do sound great when dialed in! As far as home theatre is concerned, look no further. These things take my walls, vibrate my house, and cause my alarm sensors to go nuts! I watched the movie Dune, and it caused me to jump outta my seat a few times. I listen to music 60/40 and these are great for those as well. And they look great!

After trying different brand subwoofers. I can say rel is not only my personal favorite for its rich tight base and detailed lows, Its also the best looking with a nice aesthetic and a gloss/mat combo

Sound is clean & full. It can handle volume and will shake things up. I find it to be a very nice replacement for my failed sub. The connections are sufficient and controls are good. The REL branding on all the feet is excessive & not necessary. A bit of black over the branding is an improvement easy to do.

I purchased this subwoofer to accompany my Martin Logan 35XTi's and 50XT. We watch a variety of movies and listen to a fair amount of music at various volumes. It's addition has seriously blown me away. It adds a complete new dimension to movie watching and can go as loud or soft as you wish. We have a very large great room and kitchen and it easily fills the space at half volume. For daily use we keep it at about 1/3. This is an amazing purchase especially on sale and i would highly recommend!!

This was an excellent choice and when only turned halfway sounds great with movies, This would be for a home resident that enjoys the sound even with music. If in an apartment may have to tone the bass down some. I am a 74 year of age man and my significant other is 60. I rarely write reviews but I may buy another one for my basement system. I did purchase the wireless transmitter to keep from running cable along the floor and there was no pairing. Worked first time.

I bought one to pair with my Axiom home theatre system. It blends in flawless with the existing system. The clarity of the bass is super for the price I paid ($450+tax). I also tested it with movies such as Transfers: Age of Extinction, I-robot, Mission impossible: Ghost protocol etc. The deep bass can shake your home even if I did not turn it on very loud. I ordered another one after I tested it out at home. These subs works great in pair for both movie and music.

Excellent subwoofer that sounds and looks great. This subwoofer is well designed and has all the features I was looking for. I am using it in my Dolby Atmos 5.2.4 home theater. This is an upgrade from my previous "budget" Polk Audio sub. I can definitely tell the difference in the quality both in workmanship and sound. Definitely happy with this purchase and would recommend this subwoofer for anyone looking for a great sub in the mid-price range.

Absolutely one of the best additions I have made to my system. It just makes everything a little better adding the bass that was missing. Recommended by Best Buy associate as one of the best values for the price and he was right. Replaced a 10 year old sub and the improvement is amazing.

Deep bass (and remember to install the rubber feet). The bass from this sub is deep and precise. The unit WILL absolutely move if you keep the hard feet attached, so use the rubber ones (unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones).

Compared to my SVS SB-2000 (non pro version), I can honestly this REL HT/1205 hits harder with more punchiness in the 30-80Hz frequencies. Ive also noticed it has much cleaner output (less bloat) around 20Hz than the SB-2000. Cant recommend this profuct enough.

Purchased this during an incredible sale. Have it hooked up and running for my home theater. Replaced a 25 year old infinity sun and there is no comparison. Listening to this for movies I am feeling guilty about the sale price I paid for it.
