    LOVE my reMarkable 2

I absolutely LOVE my reMarkable 2. I used to have notebooks everywhere and I would constantly lose random information I would jot down on one of the pages in the notebook. I wold also do the same with very important information that I always had a very difficult time finding (and extremely time consuming). Now I have everything in one notebook that I take with me everywhere. My individual subjects are all neatly organized and I can easily and quickly find ANY information that I need. I can't imagine my life now without this tablet. I read reviews about the pen and problems people have had with it, but I've had mine for roughly 6 months and I haven't had ANY problems whatsoever and I use this every day. I would recommend this tablet to anyone who needs to become more organized with their life. It is worth every penny spent.

    Perfect Productivity Tool

Over the years I've tried multiple attempts to use a tablet to replace my notebooks for work. The closest I came was with my Surface Pro, but that still wasn't quite right. Every option I tried had tradeoffs. I've been on the fence about reMarkable for well over a year and I'm so glad I pulled the trigger! It does everything I need, without the distractions of a normal tablet or laptop. It's sleek, discrete, and actually feels good to write on! It's very easy for me to organize and share my notes. I can even convert my handwritten notes to text when I'm sending them to someone. As someone who uses a computer with 3 monitors for work (and a smartphone constantly for messages), I appreciate the simplicity and elegance of my reMarkable. There's a slight learning curve to navigate the device, but after a few uses, it's like second nature.

I've been using the reMarkable 2 mainly for idea brainstorming, meeting notes, and organizing thoughts—and it's been great for all of that. It's thinner and lighter than most notebooks, which makes it super portable, and the distraction-free interface helps me stay focused. The writing experience feels natural, and I love how long the battery lasts. It also boots up quickly, so I can jump into note-taking without delay. That said, the e-ink screen does leave some ghosting, and I find myself clearing the screen fairly often. Still, if you can get past that, the overall build quality is excellent—though the price is definitely on the higher side. Highly recommended if you're looking for a dedicated, high-quality digital notebook.

I absolutely love this device. I was using my Galaxy tablet before, and this is much better. I love how it feels when writing on it, I love the features it offers to add or move text and pages. The no distractions while using this device means I can truly focus on the work at hand. I will be using this to share my weekly notes with my colleagues with ease to ensure we put the best training available together. I would recommend this to any of my co-workers or friends. I know the price is a bit aggressive, but it is worth it. I wish I would have got one much earlier.

It is worth every penny, don’t hesitate if you are looking for a digital notebook, NOT AN INTERNET TABLET, then this is it! I have been able to get rid of my calendar and all my notebooks and post it’s. This notebook holds everything in a lightweight package.

I’ve been using the reMarkable 2, and it’s transformed the way I take notes and organize my thoughts. The 10.3” display truly feels like writing on paper, with an incredible texture that’s perfect for sketching, annotating, or jotting down ideas. Paired with the Marker Plus, it’s an absolute joy to use—responsive, precise, and comfortable to hold. What I love most is how lightweight and portable it is, making it easy to carry around for work, study, or personal projects. The distraction-free design helps me focus, and the seamless cloud integration ensures my notes are always backed up and accessible. What could be improved: It would be great if the device had backlighting for better use in low-light settings. Overall, the reMarkable 2 is a fantastic tool for anyone looking for a premium, minimalist digital writing experience!

Excellent product! Easily captures handwriting, quick learning curve on overall product capabilities. Reminiscent of Penultimate app for iPad 10-15 years back, but much better, cleaner, and overall better experience. While not ideal to have a separate devices (iPad & reMarkable), it hasn't proven problematic, and have found that they work well in conjunction with each other e.g. use rM for capturing handwritten notes while referencing EN on iPad to guide through pre-meeting notes/questions/to do items/etc. Fantastic for desired goals of capturing hand-written notes & diagrams electronically, plus easy editing to copy/move/erase text. Works much better for me than iPad (or notes on paper) for meeting notes, brainstorming, reflections, etc. It has the benefits of paper and quickly putting words, thoughts, pictures to paper, and combines that with electronic capabilities consistent with other productivity tools I utilize. Lightweight and comfortable, and even more comfortable when disconnecting from keyboard & folio. Limited use to date of keyboard to date, but definitely easy to use & integrate with handwritten notes. Keyboard & folio well-designed & connect nicely with tablet. Not too impressed with built-in handwriting recognition, but that was not a primary purchase criteria. For my limited OCR needs, taking a reMarkable image into Evernote to take advantage of EN's fantastic handwriting transcription does the job. Price point is high, which pushed out purchase for several years, but hands down an awesome and very much enjoying using it.

Feels bizarrely close to real paper, the Marker Plus eraser also has the resistance of a real eraser. Easy to use UI. Just be aware, for auto-syncing and some cloud features of documents, it requires a subscription. That is the only negative of this device.

    Remarkable 2 Review

I was excited to use the Remarkable 2 and had wanted one for a year or more; but once I started using it, I was less impressed. The fact that it doesn’t have a backlight was really disappointing. For a $500 device you would think that you could at least see it well. It really only is for notes and organizing notes- no cool apps or reading e-books or really anything other than taking notes. I am returning it and getting an IPad with which I can also take notes and much more!

An OK product. I’d go for an Apple tablet

Product works well for its purpose but it’s too expensive. You have to buy a subscription to access a lot of the cool features that should be free, which is a big negative. Fortunately for me I don’t use those features much. I hoped the writing to text converter would atleast work well but it hardly picked up any of my writing and for some reason there was no way of undoing the conversion so I was stuck with jibberish. I also hate that there is no backlight. Not only does this cause too much glare at time, but if I need to write in low or no light it’s not possible, unless I use a light, but how silly would that be with a $600 tablet? Last two complaints are that the battery, as opposed to lasting like 2 weeks like I had seen advertised, I find that it really only last 2-3 days if I’m using it for work. One time it nearly died on me and I panicked thinking that not would I not have somewhere to write, but I would have lost access to all my notes for the whole week, month, year if it died? You’re supposed to have acces through desktop or phone app but they don’t always sync, and I think It might be one of those paid features that I mentioned should be free. The tablet would be a lot better if one could atleast use colors, like colored pencils etc. with the writing feel so good it’s a shame it can’t be used more for art. I can use it to practise my signature but that’s about it. After purchasing, I would I would have purchased an Apple tablet and put a matte screen on it to get a very close type of writing feel at a much better price. I’m sure there is apple writing apps with tons more features than this tablet could ever manage

I use this for my job, I need to get a bunch of data so it’s super easy to design templates, save them as PDF and write over them. However, the tablet feels slow when you’re browsing files, or moving in a big PDF, it also refreshes the screen every now and then, specially when you draw geometric shapes using gestures. Typing here is a nightmare, it takes forever to type anything with the keyboard, no matter how fast you type, the ReMarkable takes its time to do it, so you end up skipping some letters just because the tablet didn’t recognize them. In conclusion, it’s good for not to have a bunch of different notebooks, manuals or sheets physically, but it might be better with a more capable hardware. I should have bought the Pro version but it’s pricy, even this one (ReMarkable 2) is a little expensive considering its capabilities. This is still worth buying for the feeling of “writing on paper” and not getting distracted from work

Product is extremely overprised. The product is very user friendly very intuitive. The product is missing the ability to integrate with the Google product such as Google notes The product does a pretty good job converting your handwriting into actual text which is helpful. The downside is once you've converted to text you have a limited time to undo it and there are sometimes some characters maybe missed. To ensure conversion to type text doesn't miss any of your special characters email yourself a copy prior to converting to text. I'm allowed the email copy to serve as a backup in the event some data's lost during conversion. The pen seems to be over priced. Unfortunately I dropped the pin and broke off the erasing application. Is after only having it less than a month. I will be reaching out to help us to see about getting a replacement pin I am a total tech customer so that's hope for the best. The online subscription is an unwant it add-on although it's required.

Many of my work colleagues have the reMarkable and I tried theirs out before buying this. I'm challenged with managing notes on multiple pieces of paper. Typing notes on my laptop or tablet didn't work well for me. So this turns out to be the perfect solution. Since I can access my notes on my laptop or phone I never have to worry about whether my notes are at work or at home. It feels like writing on paper. I like that I can download meeting agendas in advance to take notes on as I used to do with paper. The only downside is I haven't been able to figure out how to log into wifi at hotels that assume you can pull up a website to enter required login (like name and room number). Other than that it is very straightforward to use.

reMarkable 2: Keeping It Simple and Focused

I’ve been hooked on my reMarkable 2 for a while now. It’s got that real-paper feel when writing, which is super satisfying. For someone like me who’s easily distracted, it’s awesome because it does one thing and does it well – no extra features to pull me away from my work. Plus, it's been a big win for my organizational skills. I'd definitely suggest grabbing a non-official cover or folio for it. There are plenty of options that won’t break the bank and have clever ways to keep the pencil attached so you won't lose it. If you’re looking for focused writing time, this is a tool I’d recommend any day.

This tablet is amazing. It holds a charge very well. I work on my tablet 5-8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I usually charge it on Sunday nights. It never goes lower than 30% when I go to plug it in on Sunday nights. And the storage is incredible. I have so many folders that I can't count them all. Most importantly, the feel, accessibility, and function of the Remarkable 2 is too good to pass up. I have ditched all physical journals and notebooks and now solely use my Remarkable. It truly is a must-have.

It took me a few months of consideration to make the investment, but I’m glad I did. As a sale professional I have stacks of notepads and this has been a game changer for my organization. The ability to edit on pdfs and save your information directly onto your computer and conversion of notes to text to share is great. I use it exactly what it was designed for, a focused writing / working space, ie no web browser, ebook, or app space wanted. The only cons are that I wish there was a little more info available to show the different tools you can use, because even though it may seem basic there are a lot of templates and tools utilize. Also, frankly it’s expensive.

If you're looking for a super basic yet premium digital not-taking experience then RM2 would satisfy your needs. If only it was around $300 and not $449 (without folio case). Amazing build quality and feel. Writing experience is great too, no visible lag. The only thing that is noticeable is low ppi, especially in comparison to Kindle or other portable screens I use on a daily basis. Another cons is that it is noticeably slow, Kindle Scribe feels significantly snappier opening notes, menus, moving from note to note, changing tools. I still enjoyed using it, but in the end decided that iPad Pro would serve my purpose better, especially considering the price of the RM2.

The writing and sketching experience on this tablet is phenomenal. 9/10 While the e-ink quirks such as the intermittent blinking and the ghost lines are present, you quickly get used to them and by the time you're done writing and ready to read /review, the display is clean and legible (mileage may vary depending on your handwriting). This tablet solves two issues for messy note-takers such as myself: - the ability to jot down every meandering thought and be able to re organize after the fact with a robust set of editing tools - an easy system to export and import notes to the device While the product is a tad on the expensive side, the product itself feels premium, impossibly sleek and thin and the software it offers is focused and polished. I Highly recommend it!
