Customers are delighted by the 2 - 10.3” Paper Tablet with Marker Plus, particularly its ease of use, writing experience, and note-taking capabilities. The long battery life, overall performance, and organizational features also receive high praise. However, some customers find the price to be a drawback and express a desire for a backlight feature.

I love this thing. I write notes, read books, manga and journal. Its amazing having everything on one device. It also really cuts down on my screentime and keeps me off my phone. The writing feels so real as well! And the pen and device keep a nice long charge. I cant think of any downsides to the device just yet, but i’ve only had it for a few months.

An OK product. I’d go for an Apple tablet

Product works well for its purpose but it’s too expensive. You have to buy a subscription to access a lot of the cool features that should be free, which is a big negative. Fortunately for me I don’t use those features much. I hoped the writing to text converter would atleast work well but it hardly picked up any of my writing and for some reason there was no way of undoing the conversion so I was stuck with jibberish. I also hate that there is no backlight. Not only does this cause too much glare at time, but if I need to write in low or no light it’s not possible, unless I use a light, but how silly would that be with a $600 tablet? Last two complaints are that the battery, as opposed to lasting like 2 weeks like I had seen advertised, I find that it really only last 2-3 days if I’m using it for work. One time it nearly died on me and I panicked thinking that not would I not have somewhere to write, but I would have lost access to all my notes for the whole week, month, year if it died? You’re supposed to have acces through desktop or phone app but they don’t always sync, and I think It might be one of those paid features that I mentioned should be free. The tablet would be a lot better if one could atleast use colors, like colored pencils etc. with the writing feel so good it’s a shame it can’t be used more for art. I can use it to practise my signature but that’s about it. After purchasing, I would I would have purchased an Apple tablet and put a matte screen on it to get a very close type of writing feel at a much better price. I’m sure there is apple writing apps with tons more features than this tablet could ever manage

Feels and writes just like a regular notebook without all the multiple pages. It can also be organized in folders, keeping everything I need in one spot without all the distractions. Very Simple and easy to use.

Many of my work colleagues have the reMarkable and I tried theirs out before buying this. I'm challenged with managing notes on multiple pieces of paper. Typing notes on my laptop or tablet didn't work well for me. So this turns out to be the perfect solution. Since I can access my notes on my laptop or phone I never have to worry about whether my notes are at work or at home. It feels like writing on paper. I like that I can download meeting agendas in advance to take notes on as I used to do with paper. The only downside is I haven't been able to figure out how to log into wifi at hotels that assume you can pull up a website to enter required login (like name and room number). Other than that it is very straightforward to use.

Product is extremely overprised. The product is very user friendly very intuitive. The product is missing the ability to integrate with the Google product such as Google notes The product does a pretty good job converting your handwriting into actual text which is helpful. The downside is once you've converted to text you have a limited time to undo it and there are sometimes some characters maybe missed. To ensure conversion to type text doesn't miss any of your special characters email yourself a copy prior to converting to text. I'm allowed the email copy to serve as a backup in the event some data's lost during conversion. The pen seems to be over priced. Unfortunately I dropped the pin and broke off the erasing application. Is after only having it less than a month. I will be reaching out to help us to see about getting a replacement pin I am a total tech customer so that's hope for the best. The online subscription is an unwant it add-on although it's required.

reMarkable 2: Keeping It Simple and Focused

I’ve been hooked on my reMarkable 2 for a while now. It’s got that real-paper feel when writing, which is super satisfying. For someone like me who’s easily distracted, it’s awesome because it does one thing and does it well – no extra features to pull me away from my work. Plus, it's been a big win for my organizational skills. I'd definitely suggest grabbing a non-official cover or folio for it. There are plenty of options that won’t break the bank and have clever ways to keep the pencil attached so you won't lose it. If you’re looking for focused writing time, this is a tool I’d recommend any day.

This is a great writing tablet! It converts my chicken scratch to text with only minor mistakes. I can even send the og file to Google Docs. I can draw, or have several lined options as well as using text. I like that the pen is magnetic to the side also. That it comes with nibs and a nib remover is great. Most things I needed to figure out were found on the website. The phone app and desktop app are great for looking over things. Ive only had to charge it once since I picked it up, using it several times a week for a few hours at a time. The only real issues is its not backlit for night time use.

The reMarkable 2 is an expensive piece of technology that is nominal in it's functionality. If you're looking for a notebook tablet that can do it all (browse the internet, download apps, stream, or message) then this is not the product for you. As a result, some users may look towards other brands to fulfill their needs for close to, or even less than, the same price as the reMarkable 2. The reMarkable paper tablet is a minimalists dream. Excluding the "typical" functionalities provides a distraction-free zone for writing, organizing, and sketching. Where this product really shines in comparison to it's competition - is the authentic feeling of writing. This was the most important factor for me in my decision to purchase this item. There is nothing quite like the feeling of pencil on paper, and the reMarkable 2 has done a "remarkable" job of replicating that feeling. Additionally, this tablet is very user friendly and incredibly organized. It is also very reactive in it's speed of transcribing and realism in capturing your actual handwriting. Furthermore, the screen of this tablet does not have blue back-lighting, which is a much needed break for my eyes since I work on a computer all day long. While this may deter some deter some users, the lack of blue light provides a realistic-paper feel, and is truthfully not something I have ever needed with this product. Cloud services allow you to quickly transfer your documents between products by utilizing the remarkable app or google drive/dropbox. If you're a reader - you can also use this tablet to read and download eBooks and PDF's. Lastly, reMarkable does sell an attachable keyboard that you can wield for all of your typing needs. Unfortunately, you will need to pay for a monthly subscription in order to truly utilize this product to it's full extent - which is a bummer considering how much you pay for the tablet itself. However, the first year of the subscription is free with your purchase, and it is only a small fee of $3 a month after that. The reMarkable 2 paper tablet is a niche product that is geared towards a certain group of people - students, business executives, writers, and artists (although - be aware that the sketching capabilities are limited to black/white/grey sketches, as there is no color on this tablet). Whether you're looking for the most realistic writing tablet, or just something to help the environment and save paper, then this is your go-to electronic notebook.

    Remarkable 2 Review

I was excited to use the Remarkable 2 and had wanted one for a year or more; but once I started using it, I was less impressed. The fact that it doesn’t have a backlight was really disappointing. For a $500 device you would think that you could at least see it well. It really only is for notes and organizing notes- no cool apps or reading e-books or really anything other than taking notes. I am returning it and getting an IPad with which I can also take notes and much more!

If you're looking for a super basic yet premium digital not-taking experience then RM2 would satisfy your needs. If only it was around $300 and not $449 (without folio case). Amazing build quality and feel. Writing experience is great too, no visible lag. The only thing that is noticeable is low ppi, especially in comparison to Kindle or other portable screens I use on a daily basis. Another cons is that it is noticeably slow, Kindle Scribe feels significantly snappier opening notes, menus, moving from note to note, changing tools. I still enjoyed using it, but in the end decided that iPad Pro would serve my purpose better, especially considering the price of the RM2.

Feels bizarrely close to real paper, the Marker Plus eraser also has the resistance of a real eraser. Easy to use UI. Just be aware, for auto-syncing and some cloud features of documents, it requires a subscription. That is the only negative of this device.

This tablet is amazing. It holds a charge very well. I work on my tablet 5-8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I usually charge it on Sunday nights. It never goes lower than 30% when I go to plug it in on Sunday nights. And the storage is incredible. I have so many folders that I can't count them all. Most importantly, the feel, accessibility, and function of the Remarkable 2 is too good to pass up. I have ditched all physical journals and notebooks and now solely use my Remarkable. It truly is a must-have.

It took me a few months of consideration to make the investment, but I’m glad I did. As a sale professional I have stacks of notepads and this has been a game changer for my organization. The ability to edit on pdfs and save your information directly onto your computer and conversion of notes to text to share is great. I use it exactly what it was designed for, a focused writing / working space, ie no web browser, ebook, or app space wanted. The only cons are that I wish there was a little more info available to show the different tools you can use, because even though it may seem basic there are a lot of templates and tools utilize. Also, frankly it’s expensive.

I was looking for a while on how to get orgnaized with an eInk notetaking tablet. After long considerations between the options I picked the reMarkable because of the following reasons: 1. Battery should last long 2. Hardware should be "solid" 3. As I have tablets I wanted to have a device which does *only* note taking, and that in a great way. I do not want to install different apps which disrupt my workflow with messages, hamper functionality, consume power, need additional updates. I was not disappointed by the choice! The battery lasts long, Managing the device is easy, no constant and annoying updates - except for some feature updates, which are welcome. I am really satisfied with the choice and can recommend this device!

I bought this when I realized I was carrying around 4 notebooks for work. I needed something I could carry notes on but still be able to separate. I am able to do just that! The charge doesn't hold for 2 weeks as advertised but I do use it ALL DAY; with that being said the charge holds for a full 4-5 days. I'm good with that. Seriously best work investment in 2023. My colleague will be getting one too!

Love this notebook! I've always preferred pen and paper, but when you run out of pages, or go nuts flipping around for notes on last meeting, it gets annoying. This is why I purchased the Remarkable! It writes like a pen and paper, love scrolling down and zooming out to see all my pages. I have my notes organized by folder, and best of all tthey back up to the app. Very happy with it! Yes it's pricey, but after using it for a year, I feel it's worth the price, since I take a lot of notes.

I've been using the Remarkable 2 for work and it has been a life changer. I'm a big time note taker, and have accumulated many notebooks over the years. The problem with having all those notebooks is that I have no way of easily searching for information if needed. The remarkable allows me to tag pages so that I can easily find that information at any time. Plus, I love how thin this device is. It is quite enjoyable to write on. I don't think I could without one now.
