Fun game, just like the good old days. Resident evil is great,

I can only play in small doses because my anxiety goes through the roof. The updated graphics make it so much scarier than the original, especially since most of the game you have limited vision due to it being so dark. If you liked the original RE2 for Playstation then you will love the remastered version.

I never played the original game back in the late 90's, but this is one heck of a game. It's intense, I think the graphs are great, also you are always having to figure out puzzles and limited weapons. All I keep thinking was please give me more ammo, I need it. Great game and I still have more to finish.

I have played the Resident Evil games for years, so when I heard of this release being brought out, I was quite excited. Now that it is in hand, there surely isn't anything disappointing about it. The graphics, sounds, and character portrayals are fantastic. The overall game play is exciting and with some pretty delightful surprises. You'll see...

I'm a fan of the old Resident Evil games though they are sometimes hard to go back to after playing more recent entries. And on top of that they are more difficult to recommend to players who haven't played them because of their dates controls and graphics. For me Resident Evil 2 is probably my favorite. I don't know if it is sheerly nostalgia, the cheesy story and dialog, or something else. But when I heard this was being recreated I was skeptical to say the least. Fast forward to release and this game is in my mind perfection blending the old story and characters with more modern gameplay mechanics and graphics. That said you still have the old inventory system, limited ammo, and story, but the blend of all of these things leaves the best version of Resident Evil 2 to date. I originally picked this up on PC, but then recently grabbed this on Xbox One when it went on sale. The game is a blast to play through and looks nearly as good as it's PC counterpart when played on a 4K television. If you are a fan of Resident Evil you owe it to yourself to check this one out.

This is how remakes should be done. Capcom kept the core of the game from the original intact but fixed things that needed to be changed. The controls and the camera are the best improvements to go along with the current generation graphics. RE 2 is one of the best games ever remade for current gen. 5 Stars

in 1998, Resident Evil 2 was one of my favorite games of all time. I was so excited when Capcom decided to remaster this game for the modern era. The graphics and controls are unmatched. The atmosphere keeps you on the edge of your seat for the entire game. Also, the game has great replay-ability with multiple endings.

The original RE2 was the title that brought survival horror to the masses, and this redux updates that classic storyline with next generation graphics and the cinematic quality that current generation consoles can provide to story driven games. Claire and Leon are back with a vengeance!

I've only ever played Resident Evil 2 on the N64 over 15 years ago, so I don't have nostalgia tied to the entry or even the series as a whole. So going into this, I had no idea what to expect, but I genuinely loved the game! Aside from the lackluster sewer portion of the game and the weak implementation of the two story lines being nearly absolutely identical with no regards to story continuity, I loved everything else. The action was great, the puzzles were good, the graphics were beautiful and the atmosphere was creepy. Can't wait to play it again as a block of tofu.

From the initial playthrough this game has been great, now on 2nd playthrough and the way this game plays is awesome. The nostalgia of playing it and trying to remember if something was in the original makes this so much fun. Would recommend to everyone who is a RE fan and even if they're not.

Best game of 2019 so far, If you enjoy classic RE games this is a no brainer. Game is rebuilt from the ground up using RE7 engine and given the 3rd person camera/new control scheme rework from modern games. Survival horror is back! Great story + great gameplay = must buy. RE3 remake please!

This game is absolutely beautiful and scary. I missed out on the first time this game came out, but glad I got this version. It keeps you on edge with the sounds and lighting. The characters are a lot of fun to navigate and hear their witty comments. Would definitely recommend.

Great atmosphere that pulls you in the moment it boots. Resident evil has always been great at horror and this is no different. Controls are tight and jump scares aren't too frequent. The mood and atmosphere make the game. Very well done.

I played the original on Playstation, and this version is how a remake should be handled. It keeps the fear that original game provided, but modernized the controls and gameplay to make the experience more enjoyable. This is a must own for any survival horror fan.

This is a remake done right. This game is scary as hell and made me want to pop a Xanax. Mr. X is a frightening foe that will have you on the edge of your seat. A solid 15 hours between the two play throughs. Best Resident Evil game by a mile.

Back in 1998, this game was amazing; move forward 21 years later: it is still just as amazing. On top of it getting a fresh coat of paint, the story was expanded giving more detail into the world of RE. Capcom: do the same thing for RE3 and RE Code Veronica!!

I was very interested and excited to see what they were going to do with this game, and I am happy to say Capcom created a masterpiece that surpasses the original! The graphics are excellent, even on the original ps4 and xbox one, but gorgeous on the X and PRO! The created something totally new without forgetting to pay respect to the original, which is extremely hard to do! I could go on for an hour applauding their effort but I will end with this, this game makes you wonder what other AAA developers are doing with their time! Game of the year candidate!

Not the remake we wanted, but the remake we needed! This is a great game. I am super happy with the game play and the fact they retained the majority of the original storyline.

In your head, in your heaaaaaad, ZOMBIE, ZOMBIE, ZOMBIE-EE-EE. This remake is one of the best games I've ever played. It looks incredible, and it's just the right amount of "scary."

A trip down memory lane, but new enough to fight off the fog of nostalgia. While the camera angle can sometimes take away from the creepy camera angles of the original, the oppressive atmosphere more than makes up for it.
