This is more than just a remaster, this is an entire remake of the original game. It looks, feels, and plays like what you would expect from a modern RE game. If you're a fan of the original or never had the chance to experience the original, don't hesitate on this.

I was hesitant when I first read that they would be using the over the shoulder camera for the remake but it was absolutely the right decision. I remember playing the original on N64 20 years ago and everything from the RPD station to the alligator in the sewers they nailed. Really looking forward to the RE3 remake next year.

If you’re looking for a single player campaign game this is the game you want to buy. Never played any Resident Evil games before now I’m Hooked!! From the mini puzzles to the jump scares this game had my hands glued to the controller. Also has alternate ending so once you think you’re finished think again!

This is a perfect example of how remakes should be done. As a fan who has played through the original RE 2 many times I can say that this version provides enough additions/changes that warrant multiple play throughs. The level of detail is incredible and the game/sound design keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just pick this game up already.

RE2 was the best game in the series, a lot of people started with 2 as there first game in the Resident evil series. Finally being remade it looks amazing. While the original will always have a place it’s great to see this remade for modern consoles and gamers

This game is just excellent. It is a faithful readaptation of the original classic - bringing back scenes and enemies that feel both nostalgic and new in this era of Resident Evil. Fans of the series will love the call backs and the return to RPD while newcomers will be able to enjoy one of, and perhaps THE best Resident Evil to date.

Yo this game is the bomb! Lol. This game is Soo good and definitely worth picking up. I own resident evil for PS1 and dreamcast and this updated version is just great! Visually the game is fantastic and definitely scary. Should be added to your library

The classic game has truly been brought back and better than ever. New mechanics and encounters make it fresh for fans of the original, but the main story beats are all kept in tact for a nostalgia. Graphics are outstanding. One of the main antagonists will make you so scared you won't even want to leave the save room.

It's been a while since I played this series but now I played with my wife. If you are an older gamer, these type games takes a team effort if you are playing after a solid days work. Great graphics and you can play it 2 times as the different characters. You won't be disappointed.

If you are a fan of or played the original Resident Evil games on PS1 or even the first remakes on GameCube, you need to add this to your game collection immediately. Gameplay & graphics are amazing & with the recent announcement of the Resident Evil 3 Remake, you cannot go wrong with this one!

This game was great when it released years ago, and is back and better than ever! Graphically it is gorgeous and the gameplay, while tough, is fun and easy to get used to. This game has good scares and a great ambient feel to it. Any one that likes as good scary game with survival in mind, needs to get this.

As advertised, not a remaster but a total reboot. Any RE fan, old or new, will love this game. My only criticism is that this game, as many Japanese games do, want you to do speed runs or similar for achievements and challenges. I'm not a big fan of speed running so that may not be applicable to everyone.

Horrifying game. This is one of the best remakes I've ever played. Keeps the atmosphere of the original. Mr. X is scarier than before with HD graphics. I recommend to play with headphones

Even though this is a remake of the original Resident Evil 2; the game play is a little different. For example, the knife in this version can be used to counter attacks as well as attack zombies. Also the Zombies, are harder to kill, and the zombie attacks are more vicious and graphic.

This game legit scared the crap out of me and I’m not one to be soft on this topic but man, they did this so well. Great game, great price, Don’t pass on this if you haven’t purchased already

1 of the best video game remakes, and arguably 1 of the best games to come out in 2019 (yes, it’s only February, but I promise this will fall on a lot of people’s end of the year lists). Everything has been updated from the graphics, to the gameplay mechanics. It’s a must buy for any gamer!
