Plays a lot like Resident Evil 2 Remake (in a good way) but is lacking in content that will keep you playing past about 8 hours. Best to get it on a sale rather than spend $30+ on it. Still a fun game for what its worth.

Worth buying now that the price is 39.99. A must for Resident Evil fans. Plays a bit faster than other RE games. It is more faster paced and action packed. Unfortunately the main game can be a bit short but there are some extras such as bonus items(like the rocket launcher) and difficulties to add some replay value. It has beautiful graphics. The character designs are modern and cool. The extra multiplayer game RE:Resistance is amazing! It is definitely underrated. It plays a bit like Dead By Daylight in a sense that it is a 4v1 game asymetrical game. I actually enjoy this much more to be honest. Unfortunately the game is no longer being updated but it is still fun and worth playing..

I haven’t had the chance to play and focus on a new game in a super long time! This game was my most anticipated for sure game that was going to be released this year. As I started playing I was scared and nervous. However, you become this bad a** character and you get lots of guns and ammo! The boss fights are super dope and they are not impossible to defeat. The biggest flaw of the game is that it is short. I thought I was a pro as I finished the game under 5 hours, but I learned many people beat the game easily. Overall, I don’t care about how long it is. The game looks great and the story is really dope! It’s clever on how it connects to resident evil 2 and I’m excited for the next remake! I would definitely buy it you’ve been curious, but if not then buy it on sale.

Although it is a step down from the excellent Resident Evil 2 remaster, this is still a solid game that focuses less on the horror/dread and more on the action. It's paced well, and gameplay and graphics are outstanding.

The official narrative is that RE2make was excellent, and RE3make was rushed out to cash in quickly. Hmm, i dunno. This remake plays to what was excellent about RE3 in the first place.

It was a good game. Not as good as Resident Evil 2 Remake but it was still a good remake. It was disappointing that large portions from the original release were left out such as the clocktower section and Nemesis constantly chasing you was restricted to only certain set pieces with him, but overall it was a fun experience. So much so that I got the platinum trophy for it. It was very short however, to get the platinum it only took me a week. The game itself can be beaten in under 2 hours. I rate if a 6/10

Much like RE2, Resident Evil 3 is a sight to behold. Lighting, animation, character models, environments... all of them blend together to give fans of last year's RE2 a treat. With that said, veterans of the franchise and of action survival horror will be able to play through the game quickly. And, while replaying and improving your finish time and rating are motivators, little is unlocked for multiple playthroughs aside from difficulty. Multiplayer is also solid but doesn't replace the weather of content previous games used to gift you upon those completed runs. Still, if you are a fan of the franchise, Capcom still knows what they're doing and they are still one of the best when it comes to survival horror.

I known that this is like a remastered verision of the 90s storyline. I also know that even though I never played the original, apparently some say they cut content from the 90s verision. I took the liberty of watching a full playthrough and yes it seems that moments in re3 didn't make it to re3 2020 ps4. However it doesn't take away the experience you would expect from one of capcoms beloved titles. Its still a fun game to play through, but because of the length of this game I recommend you wait for it to go on sale. My honest opinion: I wouldn't drop more than 40- 45 dollars.

Resident Evil 3 by Capcom offers two games with differing stories and gameplay--all under one price tag. Both games have a unique experience worth visiting, and survival horror and multiplayer fans should feel greatly satisfied when playing these games: -- In Resident Evil 3, players can play as Jill Valentine, a fan-favorite, as she ventures through a city in ruins during a viral outbreak and fights to save humanity as against a corrupt corporation for a vaccine. The third-person perspective gameplay is smooth and responsive with no issues when exploring and surviving against creatures. The visuals are stunning and innovative thanks to the RE Engine, Capcom's own game engine; there have been times where I've been wowed by even the slightest of details. Fans of the original should also be excited for a plethora of nostalgic references. Upon completion, I've not only come to the realization that Resident Evil 3 is an enjoyable and truthful survival horror game, but it's a thrilling experience that remains fun to play even after the first playthrough. -- In Resident Evil: Resistance, players can take control of multiple characters with various abilities and backgrounds that can aid them through horrifying experiments. Resident Evil: Resistance is one of the most innovating and exciting multiplayer experiences in the video game industry. It combines co-op and competitive elements and allows a four versus one simultaneous online play. For split-screen players, unfortunately, this game does not offer local multiplayer--at least for now. While the concept behind the gameplay may seem difficult to comprehend at first, after playing through multiple online matches should get you up to speed, and when it does, the experience can get hectic. Four players must survive against hordes of infected zombies and creatures that have been summoned by a fifth player, also known as the "Mastermind." The gameplay works very well, and there aren't any bugs or issues that I've come across during the numerous matches I've taken on--both as the "Survivor" and the "Mastermind." This game uses the same game engine as Resident Evil 3, so the graphics are amazingly similar. Also, the company behind the game offers future updates for this online expansion, which offers those who want more out of the experience additional gameplay. If you are looking for a fully-functional, innovative, and chaotic multiplayer experience set in the Resident Evil universe, Resident Evil: Resistance is for you. Overall, Resident Evil 3, and its additional content game, Resident Evil: Resistance, offers unique, revolutionary, and thrilling adventures that any survival horror and multiplayer fan would love. I'm still playing through both games as I write this, and I am enjoying every second of the experience.

First things first the game is a tad bit short but so was the original. RE2 remake is a bit better, but this game is a lot of fun also. The gameplay is a lot of fun and Nemesis is terrifying just like in the original. The length is nearly identical to the original. The downside is that many iconic areas were cut. Such as the clock tower. Many scenes involving Nemesis were relegated to set pieces also. Its still highly recommended from me and is a blast to play through though.

Following the heels of the critically acclaimed and loved Resident Evil 2 remake comes Resident Evil 3 Remake. As someone who absolutely loved the original RE3 (and preferring it to RE2), I find myself in a similar predicament here. As with all remakes, it's always important to ask yourself what do you value with a remake. The same question will be asked once Final Fantasy 7's remake comes out, but it's especially important to understand your expectations going in. Are you one who cares about having every single detail and beat recreated? Or do you care about how it's reimagined for the modern age? RE3 Remake is a reimagining. It takes most of the best parts of the original and crafts are more well-told narrative with fantastic characterizations. Jill Valentine and Carlos Oliveira are fantastic here. This has by far and away the best writing in the series, making them extraordinarily relatable and human while maintaining the classic RE charm. Certain segments from the original are cut in the remake which may irk many long-time fans, but taken in the context of the narrative, it still works. The gameplay is fast paced and energized in comparison to last year's more methodical RE2R. The inclusion of the dodge mechanic that's introduced, just like the original, is great and really makes you feel like an experienced force compared to Leon and Claire, who were much more vulnerable. Gunplay is impactful and satisfying, but to a slightly smaller degree as the fantastic gore system from the previous game is stripped down significantly here. The change is that there's a lot more enemies to worry about here. The elephant in the room, however, is the length of the game. It's about a 5-6 hour game, depending on how methodical you are with the game. It's short. No way to go about it. Furthermore, there isn't a "B" scenario like in RE2, so it's a more linear narrative. There's also no additional mode like playing as HUNK. Most of the replay value comes from the in-game "shop" where you unlock things like infinite rocket launchers or an assault rifle to use in replays. There are 2 additional harder difficulties as well. There may or may not be an additional DLC, but taken as a product here, the content is sparse. I believe that the core experience is a quality one, enough to justify my purchase at full price, but those that value having a ton of content in their purchase may need to take these things into consideration to prevent being disappointed. For me though, the game was so much of a blast that wanted to go back to it the minute I finished and relive Jill's terrifying journey through Raccoon City.
