Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with Resident Evil 3's impressive graphics and immersive story, praising the action-packed gameplay and the refreshing remake. However, some feel the game is too short and that the price point may not be justified by the content. Concerns were also raised regarding the portrayal of Nemesis.

This is a good remake of RE3. Graphics are great, gameplay is tight. But it is very short compared to RE2 remake and parts were cut out. Could have been a 5 rating otherwise.

Though not as long as the Resident Evil 2 Remake the RE3 Remake is still a fun game to play-through and has some unlocks that makes replays enjoyable.

I finished the game in about 8 hours - and I play REALLY slowly: I take my time, enjoy the graphics, try to read all background stuff pinned on noticeboards, hide around corners while a single zombie shuffles slowly into view, and backtrack miles just to dump stuff in item boxes so as to avoid leaving any goodies behind! And yet 8 hours for £35 seems a bit steep. As for the content, despite being survival horror, it was a refreshing change from The Last of Us Part 2(!) - a game I had eagerly anticipated for 7 years and quickly ended up despising (Amazon won't let me review it as I didn't buy it from them. A suspiciously inconsistent policy, especially for a game that deserves 1 star out of 5). The designers of NEMESIS took the novel approach of making a game that is actually *fun* to play (imagine that!) and does not take itself too seriously. Unlike LOUII, it does not sanctimoniously proselytize the correct moral thoughts and political opinions you need to have. There were genuine jump moments and, despite being much overused in the zombie genre, the hospital setting is sincerely creepy with its blood-stained walls and floors. The dodge button is good for large enemies but I found it mostly useless for zombies. The secondary weapon mechanic of RE2 is gone as is the option to use it to break free from enemies (sadly missed); but frequent autosaves, typewriters (manual save stations) and item boxes keep the action flowing. Jill is made very likeable which is nice as she, along with Chris, was the original protagonist, but seems to have been largely forgotten in favour of Leon and Chris. Even Carlos is not too grating, as many military characters (caricatures) in the Resident Evil world are. In summary: a simple, fun zombie game, enhanced by nostalgia, but you'll be done within a weekend.

Definitely a departure from the original version, but that's always a good thing. This one is very light on puzzles but heavy on action. Loved every second of it.

RE2 remake was a masterpiece. RE3 remake has many of the same graphic and gameplay elements that made 2 so great. The game however, does not exactly measure up to #2. Its less cerebral than 2. Its more action oriented and shoot-em up style. Its still fun, just a different kind of fun. Its not a direct remake of the original. There are parts of the game that were removed, so you wont get the full nostaligic effect. Removing these parts of the game also made the game feel really short. I was able to complete the game in only a few hours. Overall, id recommend buying it.

Love this game, just a little short. If they would of kept everything the same, this game would of been as good as the original.

It is a little short. I beat it in 9hours, 32 minutes and 56 seconds. I beat it in 2 days. I got a grade C in Assisted mode (easy mode). The graphics are great, gameplay is great and story is decent if you know Resident Evil stories. If will give you memories if you played the original 1999 game when that was out. The puzzles were easier than the RE2 Remake. It is definitely worth buying despite the short play through.

Huge resident evil fan here; been with the series since 96’. The RE3 remake is more of a reimagining, the story changes and you hardly revisit familiar locations. Still great though. The graphics are phenomenal as is the gameplay. It’s just so darn short. Realistically one can beat the story in an evening. There is a ton of replay-ability though. Fans seem to be divided on Resistance but I absolutely love it. I’m addicted, I think it was a very new-age version of mercenaries. Find me, adamXeve gamertag.

Fun game. I really enjoyed it. Some quality of life improvements from RE2. But there is something much to be desired from this game. Cut content is always a bad step for a remake imo. Due to this, it made the game seem very short as well. Overall, RE2Make is the superior remake and superior game. At least, you have two separate campaigns to go through. RE3Make just left too much on the chopping floor. That said, it is great for speed runners and streamers due to the point system that allows to unlock upgrades at the beginning of the game.

As someone who has never played the original RE3 before, this was a lot of fun to experience. The presentation, soundtrack and sound effects are some of the best I've seen in gaming. The gameplay is smooth as butter and the story is engaging. For a $60 game however, the single player is way too short even if you go for Platinum, especially if you're just not a fan of the new Dead by Daylight/Friday the 13th style Multiplayer mode (which I personally don't care for). I would recommend waiting for a sale, price drop or rent.
