Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the engaging gameplay and the well-executed remake of Resident Evil 3. Many enjoyed the action-packed experience and appreciated the game's story, although some felt the game was too easy or lacked sufficient content compared to the original. A few players found the Nemesis character underwhelming. Despite some criticisms about difficulty and content, the overall reception highlights the game's positive aspects.

I love this new remake! I have not had the chance to play this new version and I really liked it. I can’t wait to play the new RE4.

Good game, feels more like a resident evil 2 remake add on. Not worth paying $60 for unless you’re a die hard fan. Graphics and game play are great but this game is short, better off paying $40 when it reduces

This game was really fun to play, a lot of things to do, it was challenging at first but within time it got easier. Definitely one of the RE to play again.

I was very excited to buy this remake. I played the original many years ago and absolutely love both of them. I love the playing style now with this remake but don't like all the stuff that was left out. It seems they kind of rushed the game to get it out, just my thought. Some key moments could have been included. The visuals, graphics, sounds are all on point. The guns are easy to handle but zombies sway as they walk make it really hard to shoot. They left enough out to make the game really short. I completed my first run in 7 hours and 2 minutes. My second run i completed in i think it was 2 hours and 56 minutes. It was almost 1 hour over the S rating. Side note, on the website it says when you buy this game at best buy, that you would receive a free steel case with it. I didn't buy online as it doesn't say there's any requirements for the steel case. I went to my local store and wasn't able to see the case before I bought it, as I had to pay for it at the door. After I paid the girl handed me the regular plastic case one. I asked why it wasn't in the steel case and she had no clue what I was talking about. She asked her manager, he came over and said the steel case was only for pre-orders. I pulled up the page on their website and it says nothing about it being pre-order only deal. So they had to refund me my money to my card which took 2 days to get back, then I had to pay again for the game, but this time it had the steel case included, which was marked down to $0. So buyers beware, make sure you know what you're supposed to get vs what you actually get from here.

If you enjoyed 2019’s Resident Evil 2, this will scratch the itch for more of that great gameplay. Definitely much more action-oriented than its predecessor, but still a lot of fun. It’s much shorter than RE 2 and there’s not as much replay value, as you play as both Jill and Carlos in the same campaign as opposed to separate play through with Leon and Claire, but it’s still a worthwhile experience.

As a long time RE fan, I was more than ecstatic when they announced the remake for one of my favorites in the series. I was a little apprehensive on the design changes and whether it would aid or hurt the game. After now having beat the game 4 times and working on my 5th, I can say I'm really enjoying this game. They really have a solid product here and the game is thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. My biggest gripe with the game is the length of time. They cut out so much of what made the original RE3 great for what seemed like no reason other than to rush the product to shelves. I would have been more than satisfied with a longer game if it meant a delay or just a different release date. On my most recent play through, I was able to beat the game in an hour and a half. If length of time of a campaign is your biggest reason for buying a game, it might be best to steer clear. However, RE games are notorious for being able to be beaten in speed runs so it's no surprise this one is quite short. I still feel they could have allowed for a longer game if it meant increasing the amount of time it takes for a speed run to be completed. Overall, I really enjoyed this game and I think if you're a fan of Resident Evil, this game is definitely worth the purchase.

Whether you're familiar with the original RE3, or you've never played it before, you'll no doubt find the RE3 Remake to be a thrill ride. There're plenty of weapons and enemy fodder to keep your trigger finger busy and your pulse pounding. Nemesis stalks you through a majority of the game, and his boss forms are fun, relentless bouts. And, that's it. The visuals are spectacular and the game controls as well as you need for you to survive. Even on your first playthrough, the game will blaze by, and while it's a treat, it's quick. There're no choices to make and no branching paths. The entirety of the game could be fit into a single summer blockbuster. Your purchase is padded by the addition of the Resistance multiplayer mode. I never touched it, personally. I watched enough videos of it on YouTube to know I wouldn't find it interesting. I wish Capcom would have taken the time to reinvent the Mercenaries mode, which originated in the first RE3. RE3 Remake has two hidden difficulty modes. Besides upping the difficulty, the games enemies and items are rearranged to a marginal extent. It definitely makes the game worth replaying once more, but overall the longevity just isn't here. Wait for a price decrease, or rent it

The game looks amazing and is definitely very fun for what it is. But it's so short and absolutely not enough Nemesis. The changes aren't bad, but it came at the expense of so much cut exploration. Many places were re-imagined and that's fine, but a good amount of it was just cut completely. Stuff that easily could've added an extra hour or two to the downtown Raccoon City part of the game. It just seemed like not enough time was put into the story, and too much focus was probably put into RE:Resistance, which is only just an Ok game mode. The main thing that's missing is that replayability factor that RE2 Remake had. Something that hopefully gets added in with future DLC. It's by no means a bad game, but a bit of a letdown after seeing how good RE2 Remake was.
