This game is good but can be very difficult at times. There were a few times I jumped but I wouldn't say it's as horrifyingly scary as they want you to think it is. **note that I did not play in VR mode

Resident Evil 7 has returned to survival horror pace of the original. I would recommend playing this in PSVR for the full immersion factor. There were more jump scares in this game than I could count.

Every RE themed game since 4 has ranged from straight garbage to “clunky at best” in my opinion. RE7 is now finally changing that. This game’s first person action feels smooth and realistic and delivers some honest to God terrifying moments and a couple of major events that I’ll personally never forget.

Resident evil 7 is a great play. Great gameplay, great story, just an overall great experience. My only complaint is the length of the game. It's quite short when compared to the past resident evils however the graphics, gameplay, and story greatly make up for that aspect. It offers potential for multiple playthroughs. Overall 9.25/10

Reminded me of the old days of Resident Evil on the original PlayStation. This is a pretty solid addition to the series.

If your a fan of the series or not,this is a go getter!!! Especially if you have vr...by far the most terrifying vr game out!!! Jump scares,suspense,alertness,everything resident evil was made to be!!!

I was debating on whether or not to buy this game at first. The graphics were insane. I also really enjoyed the fact that they implemented PSVR as well. It really adds to the creep factor as you are within the world. Only issue is that I wish I could use the move controllers when using my VR. Still great game though.

Finally a Resident Evil game that gets back to the series roots. I was a little put off initially by the first person view, but you quickly get accustomed to it and soon love it. Best RE game since 3!

I am a season Resident Evil veteran. I am currently two hours into Resident Evil 7. Been playing this series since the first title on PS1. This game is scary and very well made. I am playing on normal difficulty and find myself low on items. This is the way the game should be. Going room to room is life and death. Besides everything else going on there is people chasing you room to room and stopping at nothing to kill you. If you are a fan of games like Dead Space, Silent Hill, Alien: Isolation, Resident Evil: 3 Nemesis, P.T., Eternal Darkness, The Evil Within or The Last Of Us this game is probably what you are looking for. Using first person view, RE7 is a fresh take and has all the classic RE scares. The story is pretty immersive as well.

This game is the greatest horror game of all time. Fantastic graphics, great controls ,scary atmosphere,cool story ,high tension at all times ,must I say more. You really feel like part of the story.

By now you’re likely already a Resident Evil fan, I started as a kid reading the books, playing the games, and then yeah...the movies...though those never really measured up to the two aforementioned if we’re being honest right?? Regardless, the world of RE is a great one, such a good brand! This game is a little different than some predecessors, first person and not action packed. But that doesn’t mean different isn’t good. Get it, play it, survive if you can...and enjoy!

Love this game as it reminds me of the original resident evils. In game puzzles to solve with limited ammo, makes for a good challenge. Also Awesome graphics on the ps4 pro with a sony 4k tv.

Christmas gift for my stepdad, but didnt realize it also came with the VR version! Pretty awesome and a great price!

What can I say about Resident Evil 7? It's a great game. Less action more puzzles like the original, but in a first person view. I don't have a PS VR but I think this game would be great with it.

Definitively the one of the best horror games on the decade. You will feel the pressure and anxiety of the Bakers family! If you try this on PSVR... It will be the best experience possible

I have been a fan of the Resident Evil series since the original back on the PlayStation. They have had a run of poor outings with parts 5 & 6, but with RE7 they are back on track! The first-person view just ups the intensity and I could feel my heart rate increasing every time the Title Screen loaded up. I recommend playing in the dark with a good headset on and the sound up. I recommend the Sony PlayStation Gold headset. There's nothing like hiding behind a table listening for Jack's footsteps to walk away from you so that you can move. I can only imagine how much scarier this game would be if you have the PSVR setup too. Overall it's a great game and I highly recommend it!

This Resident Evil really takes the series back to its roots. Less action, more puzzle and atmosphere. Impressive

This game is really good with or without VR. Obviously BE is preferable but I found it quite enjoyable with out it on a 4k+HDR TV. The graphics are amazing and the experience is unparalled.

This game is a welcome return to the more classic-style Resident Evil titles, with less emphasis on action and more frightening villains. The VR experience is excellent as well. More, please!
