I'm a huge coward, which is all the more reason this game deserves its rating. Despite my constant fear of basically every single corner in this game, the design is just amazing; immersion is fantastic, controls are tight (and add to the horror), and the enemies are, of course, scary, but definitely beatable as you go deeper in the game and get more armed. Recommend playing with the Zootopia soundtrack blasting over it.

This game is really scary and I highly recommend it. I can't speak for the 2d experience, but if you have the VR and have your "VR Legs" already, check it out. I would say to wait until you get used to VR before you pick it up if you are going that route though, it made my wife sick :( I was using smooth turning and normal walking speed, so that could be part of it, but she gets sick with most VR titles so....

The new game takes a similar approach to Outlast. The terror is intense and right in your face. I have never been more surprised by how good a game is until now. The first person perspective is also a welcoming change as it makes the controls far easier. The story is intense and really draws you in. This game is a must buy for fans of Resident Evil and horror survival games. Definitely one of the best games.

Game is really intense. A huge departure from the last 3 games. RE is finally horror again.

Really scary game, great graphics, not easy to finish but pretty good game

The Resident Evil games have a very long library of games that vary across many video game systems in the past. I actually love this game because of the VR version. Me and my son got the PsVR for Christmas and we love it. Resident Evil Biohazard in my opinion is the first full virtual reality game and not just some mini games. That's why I love it so much. In not that great at it but my son is really good and really into it. If you have the VR it's a definite must have. Otherwise I really can't give an opinion on the regular being we've only played the VR version but I'm sure it's even better as all the Resident Evil games have been in the past.

Scary in VR.. Love the graphics and its not a simple game. Which gives you a challenge..

This is the first RE game I've purchased or even played in almost 20 years. Scares me as much the original one did back in the PS1 days. Regardless of whether or not you use VR the scare element is definitely there. I am a grown man yet still can only play this game in 45 minute intervals before I have to turn it off and watch a light hearted comedy to ease my anxiety. EXTREMELY satisfied with my purchase!

the 1st person view makes it all the better. good story line and back to its re1 roots.

So I started to play this in VR and I'm having an issue completing the game. It really makes you jump and is the first true VR game that is a must own. The issue is it freaks me out to a point where idk if I can finish it haha. So yes its an amazing game but it freaks me out and touches everything that bothers me from manicans to jump scares. If you're a fan of the series then i would highly recommend it.

One of the first game I bought to play on PS4 VR. Had the family over and everyone had a great time experiencing the VR and gameplay on this game. love the game in VR mode! Wow!

The first person view really makes the game work well with tons of great atmosphere

I loved the first person style game play, found myself yelling at the tv.. but the only reason I didn't have this game 5 starts is because the boss fights were way way to easy...

This may very well be the best Resident game so far. I actually wish they hadn't even used the name, it deserves much better than the previous games they've released. It borrows a lot from many previous horror games and inspiration from many movies but they've done it in a great way. A very tense and rewarding game imo, I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates survival horror as I do. Buy it now!

I don't think there are any other games that are so engulfing in the VR world than this. It's very scary, and can be hard at times so it's definitely not for beginners.
