I really enjoyed this game as it's been a while since I played a Resident Evil game. If you enjoy strategy games that will make your hair stand up this is a must.

Read the review online to form your opinion over mine. The game is decent and I'm enjoying it so far (two "chapters" left for me before I'm done). My problem with this game is that the protagonist is so boring and the story for how things kick off is so dumb and unbelievable. I know this is a video game, but they could have tried at least to make things a little more realistic with how this character and other characters react to the "events" going down in this game, especially since this is maybe trying to reboot the series. There's hardly any enemies you encounter throughout the game on the default difficulty and when these slimy, slow dudes show up, you can literally just walk around most of them or run to conserve ammo. Most enemies will just disappear at certain points and not even pursue you. You can always just walk into a safe room and they'll go away as well. The game is fun enough to explore so far. The boss battles are decent and the found footage (the 3 of them that there are) are nice excursions to play. The game look good and runs smooth. I picked this up super cheap so it's good for what it is. My main issue is why can't they just reboot and go back to more of the Resident Evil remake that came out on the Gamecube? Ever since RE4 with these bio, mutated blobs and insects popping out of people's heads, I've never really found the game that interesting. It's a step in the right direction for the series. Hopefully, future dlc and RE games stick to a similar formula.

Nice game good graphics my son like the game but is horror type not for small kids

this is by no mean your typical Resident Evil game. i love that fact they changed to style of game play from the shoot em up zombie game to this survival based horror game. there will be moments this game will make you jump out of your skin. i highly recommend.

This game feels like the creators took resident evil one and jammed you into a first person camera view for it, it is very uncomfortable for a long time fan like myself but I came to like it very quickly and have since looked into more first person horror games. This has all the great RE elements from previous games like inventory management, puzzles of varying difficulty, backtracking, knowing when to run and when to fight, as well as some new elements that made me come back for several more playthroughs. I think the series may come back to this first person formula again, or maybe give us an option as players for the first time.

Great gameplay as always with Resident Evil! Lots of interesting parts so far

I absolutely love the new feel that this Resident Evil game puts out! It is a first person, strictly horror game with tons of jump scares. This game puts me on the edge as I am playing it. One of my favorite Xbox One games I have purchased in the last year!

This game is great. Hate it most of the time while I’m playing it but it’s still fun getting the poop scared out of you. Recommend this at night with a surround sound headset or speakers. Fun to watch your friends play it too.

This game is unbelievable. The story is incredible, graphics are amazing. Play this in the dark and you'll have the time of your life. The only thing I was surprised about what the amount of play time, it was a bit short (8 hours at a normal pace).
