5 stars doesn't do this game justice. From start to finish it keeps you going. Great story, acting, and gameplay. Its a good combination of action and puzzles. Game has a great flow.

The story and characters kept me interested throughout, and although I have a preference for RE 7, I enjoyed the change of pace and more action based gameplay.

What a great game. Stunning visuals, the game runs well. Great enemies, cool story, great spooky atmosphere. Superb title with a ton of replayability.

Absolutely fantastic entry in the series. Mixes all the best parts of 7 and 4, but without most of the baggage from both of those games. A few minor complaints: bosses aren't quite as good as 7, a few parts are a little too short, inventory management isn't quite as satisfying as 4. But overall it's an excellent game. 9.5/10 experience with fantastic replayability and a fun extra Mercenaries mode. I strongly recommend to any fan of the series, and it's not a bad jumping in point for anyone who wants to give the series a shot (although the story is a continuation of 7, so that's probably a better place to start).

One of the best RE games !!! Yeah its in first person... but its so much fun !!!! Gameplay is great , story is so good and jaw dropping !!! Must play for any fan or not

One of my favorite resident evil games.Scary as hell and alot of fun.Graphics are an A+ as are controls.Well worth the money.

I thoroughly enjoyed RE 8. The game had a very interesting story and I felt that they put together elements from RE4 and RE7 very well.

Fun game,kinda crazy at times. Haven't gotten all the way to the end yet but totally worth picking up. It's a blast.

This is the best game this year great story fun to play!

I got this for my husband. He said he loves the direction that this has gone with number 7 and with Ethans story (whomever that is?). He said you never feel safe in the village or any of the other remote location which is a great thing to have in any survival horror game. (He’s been occupied for three days so there’s that). He says the house benevito experience will haunt him for the rest of his lifetime (and he’s married so I guess that means I’m not the scariest thing he’s come across). Vamps and werewolf’s are involved which is an interesting take (Given my history with twilight and vampire diaries, I either can’t be trusted to compare or don’t care about the ones that don’t sparkle). He said he can wait to finish it and that he “has maybe an hour or two left (but he’s already googled answers and puzzles are not his strong suit). Edit: he says he only he only googled one thing because the hallway was too dark and he could see the latches. ( as we enjoy many activities in the dark… I’m not buying that excuse). He says “praise mother Miranda”??? (Not sure if that’s a horrible handmaid tale reference or a new character but at least it’s not his mom). Overall worth the price and enjoyable to play.

I had thought that this game was going to be exclusive to the PS5, which was going to be difficult to obtain. I was very happy to learn that it was also going to be available on the PS4! Looking forward to playing and learning all of the secrets to be uncovered.

I always loved the Resident Evil Saga, I liked it as much I liked RE7, I would recommend it if you liked the previous one, is the same but better, I still rather 2 and 3 but this one is a nice game also, I love my steelbook as well. I am about to play it again to get the platinum just like I did with all of them.

Great action, some good scares, and even more awesome gameplay! This title borrows aspects from all of the Resident Evil games before it and creates something special.

This is my favorite Resident evil game so far. I say this because of the replay ability that it had on me. All the other remakes had replayability and extra reasons to go through the game again. But this one really took the cake for me as I have played it over 3 times as a casual player.
